Days of Our Lives is marking its 60th anniversary this week with the highly anticipated Dr. Tom Horton free clinic gala, and Peacock has released the first look at the milestone event.

The official Days of Our Lives YouTube channel posted a preview for the episodes airing between November 10 through the 14th.

The promo opens up with Tate (Leo Howard) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) sitting down with Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Marie (Maree Cheatham) at the Horton house for an interview. Tate tells them, "We really appreciate you sitting down with us," to which Marie responds, "Now, what kind of stories do you want to hear?"

At University Hospital, Chad (Billy Flynn) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) are anxiously waiting for news about Chad's son, Thomas, after he ran into the street and appears to have been hit by a car. Chad is heard asking "Hey, how's Thomas. Is he okay?"

In the town square Lani (Sal Stowers) is visiting with Abe (James Reynolds) discussing Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) sharing, "He confided in Paulina instead of you. Did you ever stop to ask yourself why?"

At the Brady Pub, Sami (Alison Sweeney) is in town, reconnecting with her son Will (Chandler Massey). He notices a ring on her finger and asks, "This means you're engaged?"

The preview ends with a scene from the star-studded gala, surrounded by friends and family, Jennifer gives a speech, sharing, "University Hospital brought the community together for laughter, charity, and hope. So, with the opening of the Dr. Tom Horton Free Clinic, my grandfather's legacy will continue to serve the community all the days of our lives.

Meanwhile, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) appears to have been kidnapped, as a man takes off a blindfold she says, "Where the hell am I?"

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Xavier Booker scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures and No. 12 UCLA pulled away in the second half to beat Pepperdine 74-63 on Friday night.

Booker made 5 of 8 from the field, 4 of 4 from the free-throw line and had five blocks. Donovan Dent added 12 points and Skyy Clark had 11. Eric Dailey Jr. had 10 points in his season debut after tweaking his knee in October and missing the season opener Monday.

The Bruins (2-0) ran off 15 straight points to take an 11-point lead, their largest of the first half. They were outscored 13-11 while closing the half ahead 37-28.

Aaron Clark scored 18 points, including 14 of their final 16, to lead the Waves (1-1). Javon Cooley had 17 points and nine rebounds.

Trent Perry scored six straight points to give UCLA its largest lead of the game, 68-49. The Waves cut it down on Clark's outburst and a 3-pointer by Cooley.

The game brought together three former Bruins — Pepperdine coach Ed Schilling (one-time UCLA assistant), Pepperdine assistant Tyus Edney and Jim Harrick, who coached UCLA to its record 11th national championship in 1995 when Edney starred on the team. Harrick also previously coached the Waves.

Missouri-Kansas City transfer Jamar Brown finished with six points and five rebounds for the Bruins, going over the 1,000-point mark in his career. The fifth-year senior spent the last two seasons at UMKC.

There's no question that country music artists have busy lifestyles. Sometimes the constant grind of touring, promoting music, and being in the public eye can become overwhelming or make one feel unwell. Needless to say, everybody needs to slow down once in a while, and even Ella Langley can attest to that.

Folks will recall the Alabama native, 26, whose star has blown up over the past year, took a hiatus from music during the fall of 2025 to rest and to focus on her "health, mind, body, and heart."

At the time, Langley announced via Instagram that she would be cancelling the rest of her August tour dates, citing "sickness" and "feeling more run down than ever" as her reasoning behind the decision.

On Thursday, Nov. 6, Langley reflected on her choice to take a break from music earlier this year during night one of back-to-back shows held at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The powerhouse vocalist discussed the topic with her audience before debuting a rousing rendition of her unreleased song, "Lovin' Life Again," co-written with Ernest, who was on hand to back her up on guitar.

She Has Rarely Opened up About the Subject With Her Fans

"I took a couple of weeks off this year, and I hadn't really spoken a lot about it since," she began as shown in a video on Instagram. "Since I graduated high school, seriously, I've put this thing number one in my life above everything else, above myself, really. My band and I got to a point this year where we were looking in the mirror and didn't recognize ourselves the way we used to. We were tired. We needed a break. We had been doing this every weekend forever….we just needed a break."

View this post on Instagram

"I can't explain how much that changed my life," she continued, sharing how the chance to unwind gave her a fresh perspective. "I got to read my Bible for two straight weeks. I got to go back home and spend more time there than I had spent at home since I left. I bought my first house, and I got to sit in it for the first time. I got to sit there and see what is happening in my life and the thing that I'm working so hard for, and how it is changing my life and my family's life."

Ella Langley Is Back in Full Force

Langley went on to say that her time to simply recharge and enjoy the moment that she has worked so hard for made her feel "rejuvenated."

"I felt like I had found myself in a way that I've never found myself, but also, I was more me than I had been in a lot of years, if that makes any sense," she shared. "It took me going back home to find my roots."

Langley isn't the only artist to press the pause button on touring life. Both Hardy and Nate Smith are just a few stars who have done the same.

These days, though, Langley is back at it, with shows planned throughout the rest of the year and a stacked schedule for 2026. She recently released her single "Choosin' Texas" and is working on an album. Langley is also booked to perform at the upcoming 59th annual CMAs, which air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. CT on ABC.

SAN ANTONIO — Given that Victor Wembanyama's substantial 7-foot-5 frame towered over all other occupants of Frost Bank Center on Friday night, his constant sulking and head-hanging through a four-point first half stuck out like a sore thumb.

Wembanyama was frustrated. From a physicality standpoint, the Frenchman had allowed Houston's aggressive defense to get the best of him on multiple occasions, even laying flat on the ground at times, unable to combat the Rockets' various defenders. But from a mentality standpoint, Wembanyama's entire approach was being dictated by Ime Udoka's aggressive scheme, with the third-year center shying away from the restricted area and settling for jumpers.

For a Spurs team that had lost two straight, a third consecutive defeat was seemingly in the cards. San Antonio has taken on the identity of Wembanyama, and in games where his mistakes outweigh his excellence — 10 fouls and 11 turnovers combined in losses to the Suns and Lakers — the team negatively morphs into that image.

After one downtrodden look too many late in the second quarter, teammate Keldon Johnson had seen enough, giving Wembanyama an emphatic slap to the chest. A recalibration of sorts.

By the time the third quarter had rolled around, Wembanyama's demeanor had shifted instantly. Gone was the second-guessing and avoidance of Houston's pressure. He hunted it, using the Rockets' gameplan against them and posting a dominant 18-point second half on 6-of-10 shooting to push the Spurs to a 121-110 victory in Group C play of the NBA Cup.

"I don't think it's some epiphany or anything," head coach Mitch Johnson said of Wemby's closing efforts. "I think he's slowed down and allowed the reads to unfold. When he gets the ball and we space properly, teams have to decide to guard one-on-one or bring multiple bodies. And when he does that, because he's so cerebral, he's able to make reads and we get really competent quality possessions — and I thought he did a really good job with that."

Because of the explosive manner in which Wembanyama started the season, averaging 33.3 points, 13.3 rebounds and 6 blocks against the likes of Dallas, Brooklyn and New Orleans, external expectations around the Spurs rose. Run-of-the-mill performances against Phoenix and Los Angeles tempered some of the lofty goals set by those same individuals.

The truth is somewhere in the middle. Yes, Wembanyama is quickly asserting himself among the league's best, and as a result, San Antonio should be recognized as a dangerous team in the Western Conference. But they are far from a finished product. Wembanyama himself is still an unfinished product. This is a team that is still working to incorporate De'Aaron Fox, who is slated to make his regular-season debut on Saturday after recovering from a hamstring injury, and are still awaiting the return of electric rookie guard Dylan Harper from a calf injury.

That's why nights like these are so important. The NBA is a copycat league and the Rockets, having seen how recent teams found success in defending Wembanyama, duplicated the method, bumping and fighting him for 48 minutes. As Wembanyama continues to grow physically and become a stronger player with a solid base, opposing defenses will in turn test his limits. Houston threw everything but the kitchen sink his way — fronting him and denying entry passes, blitzing him on catches and swarming on potential drives.

But the cerebral aspect of Wembanyama's game, how he adjusts to adjustments, is what will determine his and San Antonio's ceiling. Every game won't be against the Nets or Pelicans where he can showcase his battering ram skills. Some games, against elite defenses, require the precision and skill of a surgeon. Picking his spots wisely, knowing when to probe, when to attack. Wembanyama, who played the final 4:48 with five fouls, found a nice balance remaining aggressive within the lines of legality.

"Obviously, Vic has faced a variety of coverages this season," Spurs forward Harrison Barnes said. "Double teams, box-and-one and all types of stuff. I think he's done a good job of just being patient. Understanding it's a learning process but still being aggressive and helping us win these games."

According to Cleaning the Glass, Wembanyama's assist percentage has steadily decreased since entering the league; 21.4% as a rookie to 16.4% as of Nov. 7. It's still a healthy position — 75th percentile among bigs — but one that underlines his growing importance as a go-to halfcourt option.

Defenses will never ease up their approach on Wembanyama — what he's currently facing will only ramp up as his development spikes. But as he showed in the second half against Houston, his playmaking continues to be an underrated skill, not simply for the plays he's directly involved in but the reads he makes a move or two ahead. Per Second Spectrum, Wembanyama, who finished with four assists on Friday, is second on the team in passes made (282), third in secondary assists (six) and second in potential assists (52). The more teams load up on Wembanyama, the more he can involve others around him in a properly spaced environment.

— Jackson Lloyd (@JacksonLloydNBA) November 8, 2025

"Their lineups changed," Wembanyama said. "And it felt like they wanted to score a little more, so they put offensive players in. So I think their individual defense maybe diminished because of that. It was a little more open."

The Spurs put an impressive performance together against a Rockets team that had won five in a row, outmuscling them on the offensive glass and outthinking them in the halfcourt. For Wembanyama, the next step is figuring out the sweet spot between brains and brawn.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Ja Morant and rookie Cedric Coward scored 21 points each as the Memphis Grizzlies built a big first-half lead and coasted to a 118-104 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in an NBA Cup game on Friday night.

Jaren Jackson added 17 points for Memphis and Santi Aldama finished with 16 points as the Grizzlies snapped a four-game losing streak. Morant had 13 assists, while Coward grabbed nine rebounds.

Max Christie led the Mavericks with 18 points, while Naji Marshall added 16 points. P.J. Washington finished with 14 points, 11 of them in the first quarter. Cooper Flagg, the top pick in last summer's draft, had 12 points.

Dallas played its fourth game without Anthony Davis, who is nursing a left calf strain.

Both teams entered the night on losing streaks — Dallas dropping its previous three. But Dallas had been competitive, losing the last four by an average of seven points. Not so much for Memphis. The Grizzlies had lost their six games this season by an average of 15 points.

Memphis, which has struggled in the first half, got off to a good start and built a double-digit advantage. They stretched it to open the third quarter on a 13-5 rally, the lead eventually reaching 35.

Dallas put a slight dent in to the Memphis lead, trailing 102-80 after three, but could not get within single digits in the fourth.

Both teams have struggled at 3-point shooting, sitting in the bottom six spots of the league. And the Mavericks continued their woes, staying below 20% in the first half. Memphis connected on 10 of 21 from distance in the half to lead 74-51 at the break.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Outkast, Cyndi Lauper, Salt-N-Pepa and Soundgarden will be among the newly minted members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at Saturday night's induction ceremony.

From Chubby Checker to the White Stripes, artists representing every decade from the 1950s to the 2000s will be inducted as part of the hall's class of 2025.

Chappell Roan is set to induct Lauper, and Avril Lavigne is set to take the stage with her. Donald Glover has been tapped to induct Outkast, and Elton John is scheduled to pay musical tribute to hall member Brian Wilson, who died earlier this year.

But the role played by the many other announced guest stars, including Missy Elliot, Olivia Rodrigo and Twenty One Pilots, remains a mystery on a night that is always defined by its surprises. Fans of the bands are also wondering which guests might join the living members of Bad Company and Soundgarden on stage.

Among the big questions this year are whether Outkast and the White Stripes will reunite to perform, or at least to accept their honor. Artists — or guests celebrating them — generally play a set a of their essential songs as part of their induction.

How to watch the Rock Hall induction show

This year's ceremony returns to the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles in the city's three-year rotation with New York and Cleveland, the home of the hall itself.

Fans who've bought tickets will see it live, and so can fans at home in a livestream on Disney+, a new development since 2023. The show begins at 8 p.m. Eastern, 5 p.m. Pacific.

It will be available to stream on Hulu starting Sunday. And it will get its traditional edited telecast on ABC on Jan. 1.

Who will be inducted

Here's a look at the full class of 2025 and a few of their defining songs.

Outkast: American rap duo that began in the 1990s. Key songs: "Hey Ya," "Ms. Jackson" and "Roses"

Salt-N-Pepa: American rap group formed in the 1980s. Key songs: "Push It," "Let's Talk About Sex" and "Shoop"
