Donald Trump’s signature look has once again taken center stage, but this time, the focus has shifted to his famous yellow-tinged hair, which was seen flapping loosely in the wind as he boarded Air Force One on Monday, August 3, exposing what appeared to be a bald patch.
Fast forward a mere few days, and the 80-year-old president was seen out and about attending his usual scheduled presidential duties, donning a noticeably thicker and fuller head of yellow-toned hair, sparking an onslaught of backlash. It comes as Trump, 80, debuted a new look days after he was savagely ridiculed for his 'Mrs Doubtfire' hair makeover.

Trump and his team have yet to confirm or deny whether he had been wearing a hairpiece. Amid speculation, the Mirror US reached out to Dr. Gizem Seymenoglu, a medical aesthetician in London whose appointments are arranged through Longevita, for a professional opinion on Trump's hair saga.
Speaking exclusively to Mirror US, Dr. Gizem acknowledged noticeable differences in the apparent thickness and volume of Trump’s hair between the two videos, though these alone would not be sufficient to establish that he was wearing a wig.
She explained, "In the windier outdoor footage, the hair appears much finer, and part of the hair seems to lift away, making the overall coverage look noticeably thinner. In contrast, the indoor interview shows hair that appears considerably fuller, thicker and more voluminous."
The aesthetician said that if the two videos were taken only a few days apart, this difference could be consistent with the use of an additional hairpiece, wig, or other hair enhancement, rather than a sudden change in the underlying hair itself. “It’s difficult to say exactly what is responsible for the difference, but a wig or some kind of hairpiece might be one possibility.”

As for whether Trump underwent a nifty hair transplant, Dr. Gizem pointed out that the timing would make a recent hair transplant unlikely to explain the difference. “If these clips were recorded only a few days apart, it would be very unlikely that a hair transplant explains the difference in appearance," she explained.
She went on to detail that transplanted hair follows a much slower growth timeline, "Following a hair transplant, patients generally begin to see visible new growth after around six months, with final density continuing to develop over approximately 12 to 18 months. You would not expect such a dramatic increase in thickness within days."
Dr. Gizem added that while Trump might have undergone hair restoration at some point, the videos themselves do not provide sufficient evidence to support that conclusion.
However, if Trump were to have been wearing a wig or a toupee, Dr. Gizem said that the cost could vary considerably depending on the type, quality, and degree of customization.
“For a high-end, bespoke hair system in the US, you could be looking at roughly $2,000 to $6,000 just for the initial piece. Then you have the ongoing costs of maintenance, refitting, and replacing it, which can add up quite quickly.”
She also addressed whether anything can make Trump's hair grow in just a matter of days. Dr. Gizem stressed that it would be difficult to attribute this kind of change to hair growth alone over just a few days.

She told us, “Hair grows relatively slowly, usually around one to one-and-a-half centimeters per month. Even with effective hair loss treatments, you would generally be looking at months rather than days before any noticeable change in density.”
The expert noted, however, that the appearance of thicker, fuller hair can change much more quickly, depending on how it is styled or presented.
“The way the hair is blow-dried can make quite a big difference. Volumizing products, hair fibers, or powders can make the hair look denser, while changing the direction of the hair can also give more coverage. Lighting, camera angle, and the way the hair is arranged can all play a part, too," she shared.
Dr. Gizem, who offered this commentary based solely on publicly available images, concluded that these cosmetic factors could create a noticeably fuller appearance without any significant change in the underlying amount of hair.
