Klobuchar denies Iowa caucus pact with Biden

Sen. Amy Klobuchar on Sunday rebuffed stories that she and former Vice President Joe Biden have struck a deal to assist every other in precincts where one among them does not have sufficient help to win delegates in Monday's Iowa caucuses.

“He stated no. We stated no. There isn't a deal,” the Minnesota Democrat stated in on “Fox News Sunday.” “I'm simply targeted on our personal race here. We've precinct captains everywhere in the state.”

“I have an extended monitor report of working on rural issues. So, I have one thing that is pretty particular right here going into the Iowa caucuses,” she stated.

The comments comply with a New York Times report that Biden’s aides floated the thought of an alliance with Klobuchar’s marketing campaign. Specifically, the two campaigns would drum up help in precincts where Biden or Klobuchar may fall in need of the important thing 15 % threshold required to make the second spherical of polling.

Although the senator has enjoyed a surge in support in the last few days, Klobuchar still remains in fifth place in Iowa polls, behind Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg.

Klobuchar is holding various events on Sunday to "get out the caucus" and can end her weekend just outdoors of Des Moines for a Tremendous Bowl watch get together.
