Biden says he is still confident heading into South Carolina


Former Vice President Joe Biden stated he remained confident that he will win the upcoming South Carolina main with robust help from African-People in the state.

"I feel good about the place we are. I be ok with going into South Carolina," Biden advised CBS’ "Face the Nation" in an interview airing Sunday. "And I feel good about the sort of help I've had with African-People around the country."

Biden, who completed in fourth and fifth, respectively, in Iowa and New Hampshire, has previously pointed to the South Carolina main as crucial for his campaign. The former president claimed a second-place finish in Nevada on Saturday with robust turnout among African People.

As Biden heads into the Feb. 29 South Carolina main, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders' wins have seemingly led to potential cracks in Biden's firewall in the state, the place two-thirds of the primary citizens is black.
