Tom Holland is set to earn more than $100 million for starring in hit movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day,according to a new report by The Wrap.

In its third week at the box office, the newest installment of the superhero series has become the eighth highest-grossing film of all time, surpassing $2 billion in global ticket sales. The Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel was propelled by an incredible opening weekend, with a record-setting $360 million domestic debut out of its $932 million worldwide box office total.

Insiders told The Wrap that the British actor, 30, was paid $20 million upfront for the blockbuster. That means he has the potential to receive another $80 million or more in backend bonuses, which are typically paid out to actors and directors once a movie covers its production and distribution costs.

Holland’s backend bonus is also reportedly not capped, which means there is no limit to how much he might make for this movie. The upfront $20 million payment to the actor is already about double what he received for Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.

The Independent has reached out to Sony Pictures and representatives for Holland for comment.

Brand New Day marks Holland’s fourth solo outing as the web-slinging New York superhero. The movie, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, also stars Holland’s wife Zendaya, Sadie Sink and Jon Bernthal.

The sequel is the last Marvel film before Avengers: Doomsday is slated to bring back iconic Marvel characters and introduce key figures from the X-Men franchise to the MCU for the first time.

Holland’s massive salary for the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel comes after his other movie currently in theaters, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, has also dominated the box office since its July 17 release.

Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek epic sailed past the one billion dollar mark at the global box office less than a month after its release, making it the Oscar-winning director’s highest-grossing film to date.

Holland’s performance in the film as Telemachus, Odysseus’s son, prompted praise for him as well as Zendaya, 29, who played Greek goddess Athena in the film and starred as MJ in Brand New Day.

After their movies raked in billions, the married power couple could potentially become the most profitable box office actors in a single year in the history of Hollywood.

Tulsi Gabbard opened up about how her husband, Abraham Williams, was doing after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year

The controversial former director of national intelligence announced her departure from her role in President Donald Trump’s administration back in May, after he received the diagnosis

Three months later, Gabbard said that Williams is recovering from a “very invasive surgery” and is currently cancer-free, though he’ll need to undergo “frequent MRIs” to ensure he stays healthy

Tulsi Gabbard provided an update about her husband Abraham Williams’ health after he was diagnosed with “a very, very rare, one in a million type of cancer” earlier this year.

The 45-year-old former congresswoman from Hawaii — who was controversially selected by President Donald Trump to serve as his director of national intelligence in his second term — announced that she would be departing the White House role due to Williams’ diagnosis in May.

On Thursday, Aug. 20, she addressed her husband’s health in a video shared on X, revealing that he underwent “a very invasive surgery” to remove part of his sacrum and tailbone after being told that he had sacral chordoma.

Chordoma is a rare form of bone cancer that develops along the spine, according to the Mayo Clinic. It is most commonly found near the sacrum at the bottom of the spine or at the base of the skull.

In her video, Gabbard explained that Williams was presented with two options by doctors — surgery or radiation.

“So we scheduled the surgery as quickly as we could,” she said, including footage of Williams in the hospital and along his recovery process. ”I was so happy to see him when they wheeled him back into that recovery room, but it was also really scary, which I didn’t expect. He’d been under heavy anesthesia for almost eight hours. His body as he started to come out, started reacting to the drugs that were in his body. It was tough.”

Gabbard said Williams immediately wanted to start walking around, and he did with help “from some great nurses.”

“He would take a few steps, he would throw up as he was trying to walk around. But he kept going. He refused to take any narcotic pain medication, and so he really had to push through the post-operative pain,” she continued.

The Democrat turned MAGA politician noted that the process was worth it: “A few weeks after the surgery was done, pathologists and the doctor said that they were confident they were able to cut out all of the cancerous bone and tissue.”

At this point, she said Williams is in the midst of “a very rigorous physical therapy program.”

His recovery hasn’t been easy, though. “He gets frustrated a lot because he wants to be able to make progress faster, and sometimes he’s pushed a little bit too far,” Gabbard said, adding, “But overall Abraham is progressing very well.”

Although doctors said they removed the cancer, she noted that her husband would need “frequent MRIs.”

Gabbard ended the video by thanking the team that cared for Williams and the many people who supported the couple throughout their journey. After she finished speaking, she started crying as her husband wrapped her in his arms.

“Mahalo for all of the love and support,” she wrote in a caption accompanying the video.

Back in May, Gabbard announced her resignation from her role in the Trump administration with a letter addressed to the president.

“Abraham has been my rock throughout our eleven years of marriage,” she wrote in part. “His strength and love have sustained me through every challenge. I cannot in good conscience ask him to face this fight alone while I continue in this demanding and time-consuming position.”

Trump reacted to her decision in a post on Truth Social, writing that he understood and praising her for “an incredible job” as director of national intelligence.

Miss Virginia USA Justus Kelley is among the 51 Miss USA delegates making their way to Miami to compete in the annual Miss USA competition, but packing for her big trip looked slightly different than other contestants. In the post shared to her Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 19, Kelley shared a snap of herself at the airport with her luggage. However, instead of just suitcases, the 31-year-old packed her belongings into a mixture of bags and trash bags.

As for why, Kelley shared this reason in her caption: “Heading to Miami for the 75th @MissUSA with the very type of bag I’ve seen children in foster care transition into my own home carrying,” she wrote. Kelley is a foster parent and the founder of Foster Footprints — an organization that works to “empower” foster youth in the DMV area.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Kelley explains that she and her husband, Tyler, have been licensed foster parents in the Commonwealth of Virginia for nearly two years. “I married my college sweetheart, who shared with me on one of our very first dates that he, too, dreamed of fostering someday. Thirteen years later, we have welcomed children ranging from 7 months to 10 years old into our home,” she tells PEOPLE.

“From the beginning, we knew we wanted to be a safe, loving and welcoming home for children of any age, race, orientation or background. We wanted every child who came through our doors to know that they were safe, valued and worthy of being loved exactly as they are,” she continues.Kelley and Tyler are currently fostering a sibling set — a baby boy and his sister. Kelley calls it a “privilege” to be able to celebrate the young children’s “milestones, first steps and countless little moments.”She also shares that the two children’s biological family has been an “incredible partner in this journey.”While Kelley maintains that the goal of foster care is “always reunification with the biological family,” she shares that she and her husband were asked to become the children’s godparents long-term. “While we may not know exactly what our family will look like in the future, we know we want to continue to be a source of stability and comfort for any child who needs it throughout their journey,” she says.

Continuing on in her Instagram post, Kelley explained, “The trash bags I carry reflect a reality far too many foster children know all too well. A trash bag should never be a child’s suitcase. Every foster child deserves to carry their belongings with dignity—And I need you to help me make that possible.”She added: “What is going to Miss USA, if not for raising awareness of issues that matter?”Writing to PEOPLE, she adds, “When we say yes to a foster placement, we don’t know what the outcome will be. We don’t know how long they will stay, or what our relationship with them will look like when they leave our home. But we refuse to let the uncertainty keep us from loving them fully. We don’t hold back love or avoid attachment because we believe that is exactly what every child deserves.”

“I consider it one of the greatest honors and privileges to open our home to children who need one, and to remind them, however long we get to be their family, that they were always worth loving,” she concludes. The pageant queen will take the stage at the 2026 Miss USA competition, the finale for which is set to take place on Aug. 27 in Miami, where she, along with the other 50 contestants, will hope to clinch the national title.

The 31-year-old hails from Arlington, Va., and holds a bachelor’s degree in community health and a master’s in public health administration from Indiana University. She’s an adviser at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and her philanthropic work centers around championing the foster care community.Along with her work raising awareness for her work within the foster care community, Kelley has been documenting her journey to Miss USA, breaking down how she plans to attend the pageant and compete in the most cost-effective way.

Natalie Harp has long been one of President Donald Trump's closest aides, but a pointed comment from Sen. Jon Ossoff has put her into the national spotlight.

During a rally in Atlanta on Aug. 16, the Georgia Democrat accused Trump of wanting to "travel with Natalie" instead of focusing on his duties, reigniting questions about the aide's influence and unusually close proximity to the president.

The controversy has put a fresh spotlight on Harp, a longtime Trump loyalist whose role around the president has drawn increasing attention. Her constant presence alongside Trump, reported access to his communications and growing visibility inside his inner circle have made her one of the most talked-about aides in Washington.

Who is Natalie Harp?

Natalie Harp, 34, is Trump's executive assistant and one of the most visible figures in the president's inner circle. Harp, a former television presenter for One America News Network, graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2012 and received an MBA from Liberty University in 2015, according to Vanity Fair.

Harp first gained national attention after crediting Trump's "Right to Try" law with helping her access an experimental treatment for bone cancer, according to Forbes. She spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention and later worked on Trump's 2024 presidential campaign before joining the White House as executive assistant at the start of his second term.

Why is she called the 'human printer'?

Harp has become known in Trump circles as the "human printer," a nickname tied to her habit of carrying a portable printer and battery pack so she could provide the president with physical copies of information wherever he traveled, according to reporting by The Palm Beach Post, part of the USA TODAY Network.

She has also been linked in reports to some of Trump's most controversial social media activity through her access to his Truth Social account.

Harp was among a select few on Trump's secret flight

Harp's proximity to Trump was on display earlier this month when she was among a small group selected to accompany the president after he was secretly transferred from Air Force One to another aircraft via catering truck amid threats on his life from Iran.

Other top officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, adviser Stephen Miller and reporters traveling with the president, remained on what became a "decoy" plane.

She's a cancer survivor

Harp is a survivor of bone cancer and has frequently spoken about how the experimental treatment she received under the "Right to Try" program affected her life.

The law, signed by Trump in 2018, allows some terminally ill patients to seek access to treatments that have not yet received full approval from the Food and Drug Administration.

What is known about Natalie Harp's family?

Little is publicly known about Harp's family or personal life. However, her estranged brother, Preston Harp, has publicly commented on her relationship with Trump, calling it "unhealthy" in remarks reported by the Daily Mail.

He later told The Daily Beast that he believed his sister viewed Trump as a father figure and said she had struggled with her relationship with her late father.

As scrutiny of Harp intensifies after Ossoff's comments, interest in the executive assistant continues to grow, making her one of the most closely watched figures in Trump's inner circle.

Friends wouldn’t have been the acclaimed sitcom it was without Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay – although, if the actor got her way, she would have played another main character instead.

Kudrow previously admitted that playing the eccentric role was “a lot of work” as she was so different from her, and she initially felt she could put in a better performance as Rachel.

According to the Emmy-winning actor, they were adamant she played Phoebe as they had struggled so much casting that particular role.

Lisa Kudrow didn’t originally want to play Phoebe Buffay in ‘Friends’ (Getty)

“Idiot that I am, I went, ‘Oh, but you know what? I gotta say, Rachel is Jewish, and boy, I love doing a Jewish American Princess – I think I could make that really funny,’” Kudrow recalled in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I told my agents, ‘I can do Jewish American Princess and make that really funny.’ And so they said, ‘Uh-huh. All right. Well, we’ll tell them.’”

At the time, Kudrow didn’t “clock that” Rachel was supposed to be the romantic lead opposite David Schwimmer’s Ross.

“They went, ‘No, no. It’s so hard for them to find Phoebe. They’re not messing with that.’ So that was the sweet way of saying, ‘Yeah, you are not the romantic interest.’” The role eventually went to Jennifer Aniston.

Kudrow starred as Phoebe – known for her unpredictable behaviour and quirky musical performances – from 1994 to 2004.

Earlier this year, the actor told The Independentthat “nobody cared” about her character.

She claimed that when Friends blew up after its second season, she didn’t see much of a change in her professional life.

“There was no vision for me, and no expectations about the kind of career I could have,” she commented. “There was just, like, ‘Boy is she lucky she got on that show.’”

It wasn’t until a few years later, when she made the Robert De Niro comedy Analyze This, about a mob boss in therapy, that “agents and business people started circling, wanting to put me in romantic comedies and things,” she said.

“I knew that wasn’t gonna work. I’m just not adorable!”

Kudrow has often spoken about her time on the show and how much Phoebe meant to her. In an interview promoting The Comeback in March 2026, she said: “At first, Phoebe was very, very far from me. It took a lot of work to justify the things she would say and do. Not in an irritating way — it was fun.

“Over the course of 10 years, a little bit of her came into me. I lightened up a little more and read some books on spirituality and things, just to try to understand her.”

Lyle and Erik Menendez have been serving time in prison since 1996, when they were convicted of murdering their parents José and Kitty Menendez

Lyle was married to Anna Eriksson from 1996 to 2001 before marrying Rebecca Sneed in 2003, though they later separated

Erik has been married to his wife Tammi Menendez since 1999

Both Menendez brothers got married while incarcerated.

During their time in prison, which has included new developments and parole hearings, Erik Menendez has been supported by his wife, Tammi Menendez. Meanwhile, Lyle Menendez has leaned on estranged wife Rebecca Sneed.

The brothers shot their parents, José and Kitty Menendez, at point-blank range on Aug. 20, 1989. After their subsequent arrests in March 1990 and years spent in trials, Lyle and Erik were convicted of two counts of first-degree murder on March 20, 1996, and sentenced to life in prison on July 2, 1996.

Lyle was initially married to Anna Eriksson from 1996 to 2001. He later wed Sneed in 2003, who announced their separation in November 2024.

As for Erik, he wed Tammi in June 1999 inside the waiting room of Folsom State Prison, after the two corresponded for nearly six years.

“Tammi’s love has propelled me to become a better person. I want to be the greatest possible husband to her,” Erik told PEOPLE in October 2005. “And this affects the choices I make every day in prison. Tammi has taught me how to be a good husband.”

The brothers emerged in the spotlight in September 2024 thanks to Ryan Murphy‘s Netflix anthology series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. In May 2025, they were resentenced to 50 years to life, making them eligible for parole. Erik was denied parole on Aug. 21, 2025, and Lyle’s denial came one day later.

Here’s what to know about the Menendez brothers’ wives, 37 years after they killed their parents.

Lyle was previously married to a model

Lyle’s first wife was Eriksson, a former salon receptionist turned model. According to The Sun, Eriksson wrote a letter to Lyle during his and Erik’s first trial. He responded, and they began corresponding regularly, eventually developing a relationship.

In 1994, Eriksson moved to Los Angeles to be closer to Lyle and got a job at a record label. They married on July 2, 1996 — the day Lyle was sentenced to life in prison. Erik’s attorney Leslie Abramson and their aunt, Marta Menendez, attended the ceremony, which was conducted via speakerphone.

The couple stayed together until Eriksson filed for divorce in 2001, alleging that Lyle was unfaithful to her and exchanged letters with other women without her knowledge.

Lyle remarried two years after divorcing Eriksson

Sneed and Lyle knew each other for a decade before marrying in November 2003, per NBC News. A former magazine journalist and editor, Sneed first began communicating with Lyle through letters, and they became a couple after he and Eriksson split.

Since marrying Lyle, she became an attorney. She lives in Sacramento, Calif., and has visited Lyle weekly.

“Our interaction tends to be very free of distractions, and we probably have more intimate conversations than most married spouses do, who are distracted by life’s events,” Lyle told PEOPLE in January 2017. “We try and talk on the phone every day, sometimes several times a day.”

He added, “I have a very steady, involved marriage and that helps sustain me and brings a lot of peace and joy. It’s a counter to the unpredictable, very stressful environment here.”

Erik and his wife Tammi started exchanging letters in 1993

Tammi was married to Chuck Saccoman and living with him and her teenage daughter from a prior relationship when she began following the brothers’ trial on TV in 1993. Feeling sorry for Erik, she sent him a letter while he was in prison — with Saccoman’s blessing.

“I told him that I was going to write to Erik,” Tammi told PEOPLE. “He said to go ahead. I really didn’t know if Erik would write back.”

Erik previously told PEOPLE he believed fate led him to open Tammi’s letter out of the flood of mail he received.

“I saw Tammi’s letter, and I felt something. I received thousands of letters, but I set this one aside. I got a feeling,” Erik said in 2005. “And I wrote her back. Tammi and I continued to correspond. I enjoyed writing to her. It was a slow friendship. It was special to me because it was not associated with the trial and the media. Tammi was someone not in the craziness.”

Erik and Tammi started dating after her husband died

In June 1996, Tammi discovered that her then-husband, Saccoman, had allegedly begun raping her teenage daughter when she was 15 years old. He turned himself in to the police and died by suicide two days later.

At the time of his death, Tammi and Saccoman’s daughter, Talia, was 9 months old.

“I reached out to Erik. He comforted me; our letters started taking on a more serious tone,” she recalled to PEOPLE.

After Erik was convicted of first-degree murder, he invited Tammi, who was dating a doctor at the time, to visit him at Folsom State Prison, which is located near Sacramento, Calif. They met for the first time in August 1997.

Tammi told PEOPLE she was “really nervous” to meet Erik and that he didn’t even know what she looked like.

“I’d only sent him a tiny, 1-by-1 [inch] picture,” she said. “But when he walked into the room, he was so full of life, he hopped down the stairs. It was like I was meeting an old friend.”

Erik said meeting Tammi for the first time was the “most beautiful experience of [his] life.”

Tammi and Erik married about a year after they met

Tammi planned to use her inheritance from Saccoman’s death to move to Georgia and establish a life for herself and Talia there, but she changed her plans after meeting and falling in love with Erik. She moved to Sacramento to be closer to him and visited him four times per week.

In 1998, Erik proposed to Tammi, and they married at Folsom Prison on June 12, 1999, with a Twinkie serving as their wedding cake.

After Erik’s transfer to Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga, Calif., Tammi and Talia trekked nearly 150 miles every week for visits.

Tammi revealed that a lot of her friends were put off by her relationship with Erik. She also noted that while kids at school never bullied Talia about her stepfather, Tammi thought the other students’ parents might have been keeping their distance because of her infamous husband.

“Every single time a parent would say to me, ‘No, my daughter can’t stay over at your house,’ I would wonder if the underlying reason was Erik,” Tammi said. “There is always that question in my mind.”

Erik called Tammi a “lifesaver”

When asked if she was “troubled” by Erik murdering his parents, Tammi told NBC News in December 2005 that she was, but that she didn’t believe her husband was beyond redemption.

“I know his soul, and I do know what happened that night,” she said. “And I do understand. I believe that within everybody, put in certain circumstances, you will, you know, be able to kill somebody. I mean, I do believe that Erik is a very good person.”

The same year, Erik told PEOPLE that Tammi was a lifesaver for him.

“Tammi’s love was a major step in my choosing life,” he said. “Having someone who loves you unconditionally, who you can be completely open with, is good for anybody — to know that this person loves me as I am.”

Neither brother is allowed conjugal visits

While Lyle and Erik have both been married, neither has consummated their marriages because conjugal visits are prohibited for inmates serving life sentences in California.

It doesn’t bother Lyle much. As the older brother told ABC News in January 2017, “One thing I’ve learned is that your physical comfort is much less important than your connection with the people around you. I’ve found I can have a healthy marriage that is complicated and built around conversation and finding creative ways to communicate, sharing, without all the props that are normally there in marriage in terms of going out to dinner and having as much intimate time together and so on.”

Tammi is largely unbothered as well, telling PEOPLE in 2005, “Not having sex in my life is difficult, but it’s not a problem for me. I have to be physically detached, and I’m emotionally attached to Erik.”

For his part, Erik isn’t thrilled about the lack of physical contact but says it’s part of what makes the relationship work.

“It’s not the sex you seek, but the emotional connection,” he said, adding, “There is no makeup sex, only a 15-minute phone call. So you really have to try to make things work.”

Sneed announced that she and Lyle were separated in November 2024

In a post on a Facebook page focused on the brothers that Sneed runs, she shared that she and Lyle had been separated “for a while now.”

“This is NOT a cheating scandal,” she wrote. “Lyle and I have been separated for a while now but remain best friends and family. I continue to run his Facebook pages, with input from him, and I am forever committed to the enduring fight for Lyle and Erik’s freedom, as has been so evident over the years.”

LONDON – Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are returning to Britain, and with that comes a lot of questions.

Their return is set against a backdrop of royal drama and a longstanding rift within the family that is far from repaired.

The pair, who left the U.K. in 2020 and stepped back from their roles as working royals, are moving back to Harry's home country with their two children Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, who are due to start school in September.

The family could land on British soil by the end of the month. Here's a look at what we know about their bombshell return.

Why are Harry and Meghan moving back to England now?

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's decision to move back to the U.K. from California after six years stunned much of the world, sparking a range of reactions from confusion to celebration.

Just last year Harry told the BBC that he could not "see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,” citing security concerns, though he noted, "I love my country and always have done."

Many are now wondering where the U-turn came from, with some reports citing the king's cancer diagnosis as a possible reason for the move.

King Charles, 77, was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 and is still receiving treatment. The type of cancer he has is not publicly known. Harry's choice to bring his family back home means his two children will likely see more of their grandfather.

USA TODAY understands that the monarch learned of Harry's plans on Sunday, Aug. 16, and welcomes the opportunity to see more of the Sussex family in a private and personal capacity.

Other reports say that Harry's visit home last month cemented the decision; the prince, who served in the British military, has long expressed love for his home country and spoken openly about missing it.

Where will Harry and Meghan live?

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left Britain for California six years ago, they vacated their first official home in Windsor, known as Frogmore Cottage. It is unlikely the pair will opt to set up home in London, with Meghan avoiding the capital last month during her visit to Britain, amid security concerns.

The Telegraph reported that the family will not live in a royal residence. Meghan is expected to continue running her lifestyle brand As Ever from Britain. The couple are reportedly keeping their homes in California and Portugal.

Royal experts point to the Cotswolds, a scenic and quintessentially English area made up of rolling hills, castles and country houses as the top contender for the Sussexes location of choice. The couple lived in the area in 2018. Meghan also had her bachelorette party there in March 2018, shortly before the pair got married.

The rural area spans six English counties including Gloucestershire, where King Charles III and Queen Camilla often spend time at their private country residence of Highgrove.

The peaceful nature of the Cotswolds has long lured celebrities seeking privacy and a change of scenery away from the United States, including Ellen DeGeneres who bought a house there in 2024, citing President Donald Trump's election win as the catalyst for her move.

"The villages and the towns and the architecture - everything you see is charming and it's just a simpler way of life," DeGeneres said in 2025. "Everything here is just better – the way animals are treated, people are polite. I just love it here."

British media reports that the couple may also consider a move to the Northamptonshire countryside, which surrounds Althorp House, the Spencer family estate and where Harry's mother, Diana, is buried. The family visited Althorp last month, with Meghan sharing photos of the children holding flowers on their way to Diana's resting place.

Does this mean Harry and Meghan will return to royal duties?

While the Sussexes are indeed coming home, they are not returning as working members of Britain's royal family.

Despite their homecoming there will be no alteration to their roles as private individuals and non-working members of the royal family, USA TODAY understands. For the king, there is no "half in/ half out" option, something Charles' mother Queen Elizabeth II reportedly felt strongly about.

Following their announcement to leave their roles and life in Britain, Harry and Meghan carried out their final royal engagement alongside Prince William and Princess Kate in March 2020.

At the time, the palace agreed to a 12-month review of the decision, to see if some common ground could be reached. It could not.

'They're your problem now': Harry, Meghan UK move shocks social media

What happens with Harry and Meghan's security?

For years, Harry cited the "toxic" British tabloids and lack of taxpayer-funded security as reasons to not move Meghan and their kids back to Britain. The couple lost their publicly-funded security protection when they stepped back from their roles as working royals.

Harry has taken the matter to court, arguing that the risk remains to their safety, but three Court of Appeal judges ultimately ruled against him. The Sussex family has long used private security firms for protection.

During their visit to the U.K. last month, Meghan did not travel with Harry on the London portion of his trip amid security concerns. She later joined him in Gloucestershire, England, where the family of four met the king and queen for the first time in four years.

Now that the family are returning it remains unclear what their security arrangements will be. British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said Thursday, Aug. 20, that security arrangements for Harry and Meghan are "a private matter."

It remains unclear if an official review of the family's security will take place amid the move.

Will Prince Harry and Prince William reunite?

For the estranged brothers, Harry's return home may be a step towards reconciliation. But that could be far off.

The brothers, once extremely close, have only seen one another a handful of time in recent years and failed to meet last month despite being just 12 miles apart at one point during Harry's trip home. While Harry did reunite with his father, the lack of meeting between the brothers signified that cracks between them still run deep.

'Spare' bombshells: Physical attacks, drug use, Diana's death and more revelations from Prince Harry's memoir

For William, Harry's 2023 autobiography "Spare," may also have played a part in the decision not to meet his younger brother. In the book, Harry accused William of physically assaulting him during an argument over Meghan in 2019.

Then there was the Oprah Winfrey interview, in which Harry and Meghan offloaded a string of explosive claims among them the allegation of racism within the royal family.

For future king William, he may decide he is better off maintaining a distance with his brother – even if they are both living in the same country.
