Joe Biden's once-yawning advantage in South Carolina is now simply a slender lead over Bernie Sanders and Tom Steyer, in line with a Winthrop University ballot released Thursday.
In the poll, Biden is at 24 % help. He’s adopted by Sanders’ 19 % and Steyer’s 15 % — the only different candidates in double-digits.
Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar and Tulsi Gabbard are all nicely behind them. Buttigieg is at 7 %, Warren is at 6 %, Klobuchar is at 4 % and Gabbard is at 1 %.
“Flames appear to be licking by way of the cracks in Biden’s firewall,” Scott Huffmon, director of the Winthrop poll, stated in a press release. “His help has dropped by double digits because the late September Winthrop Ballot.”
Within the ballot final September, Biden was at 37 %, 20 points forward of Warren, the second-place candidate.
Mike Bloomberg was not included in the poll as a result of he isn't on the ballot within the state.

Heather Hargreaves, Steyer’s marketing campaign supervisor, advised POLITICO earlier this week that they have been assured Steyer would win a delegate in Saturday's Nevada caucuses, which might also put the billionaire on stage.
All six of the candidates who participated in Wednesday night time's debate — Biden, Bloomberg, Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Sanders and Warren — have already qualified for the Feb. 25 debate, according to POLITICO's tracking of public polling and delegate estimates.
