Fox Sports parted ways with football analyst Mark Sanchez, the network said Friday, a month following his arrest in Indianapolis in an incident in which he was stabbed after allegedly attacking a truck driver.

"We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network," a Fox Sports spokesperson said in a statement to NBC News. "There will be no further comment at this time."

The network on Friday also announced the addition of former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees to its stable of broadcasters.

Brees was assigned to work with play-by-play man Adam Amin, who'd been paired with Sanchez in Weeks 1 through 4 of this NFL season.

Sanchez, a former New York Jets quarterback, was charged with felony battery involving serious bodily injury stemming from the incident that unfolded in the early morning hours of Oct. 4.

Sanchez, a Southern California native, was in town for the Las Vegas Raiders-Colts game at Lucas Oil Stadium when he approached the driver at a nearby Westin Hotel loading dock, according to a court affidavit.

The truck driver, working for a company that recycles used cooking oil, was told by Sanchez that he couldn't be parked at the Westin Hotel loading dock, officials said.

After an allegedly impaired Sanchez grabbed the 69-year-old and threw him towards a wall, the driver believed "he was now in physical danger, so he reached into his pocket and grabbed his pepper spray and sprayed Mr. Sanchez in the face," according to a court affidavit.

When the pepper spray didn't prompt Sanchez to retreat, the victim stabbed Sanchez in self-defense, officials said.

Sanchez could not be immediately reached for comment Friday.

His criminal defense attorney in Indianapolis declined to discuss his client's career or legal dealings.

On Nov. 7, Alex said, "I feel terrible about it" and told reporters he's working towards "becoming a better teammate"

Maia said she and her brother "understand each other and the process" and they will "choose each other every time"

Olympians Alex and Maia Shibutani have broken their silence on a leaked video that shows Alex cursing at his sister during a practice.

The video surfaced last month on YouTube, showing Alex, 34, berating Maia, 31, about her execution of a routine during practice on the rink. Another woman is also present, standing on the sides while the Shibutani siblings are on the ice.

At one moment in the video, Alex tells his sister, "Maia, you are an idiot."

After the siblings — who announced their return to competitive figure skating on May 1 after Maia spent years recovering from a cancerous tumor in her kidney — placed sixth in the rhythm dance competition at ISU's Grand Prix Series on Friday, Nov. 7, both addressed the video and said they've made amends.

"I feel terrible about it," Alex — who, alongside Maia, won two bronze medals at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics — told reporters, according to the . "Unfortunately, I lost my temper in training and it shouldn't have happened," he said, adding that he "apologized to Maia right after our practice."

Alex said the "intensity of what we are trying to do" and the "standards that we have" led to the outburst. "But it was wrong and I am committed to being a better teammate," he said, adding that he's "so lucky to skate with Maia."

"We have a very unique, special relationship and we are committed to each other and to this process," said Alex, per the AP.

Maia addressed the video as well, saying, "When you are working toward being your best there are going to be intense moments, but for us we understand each other and the process and we work through it together like siblings do," she said, according to the AP.

"We continued practicing that day and we choose each other every time," she added.

The siblings announced their return to the sport five years after Maia revealed that a tumor she had removed from her kidney was cancerous.

In May 2024, Maia told PEOPLE she was "healthy and doing well."

In their statement on May 1, Maia said, "These past seven years have challenged and inspired us in ways we never expected. I'm so happy and grateful to be healthy and in a position to make the decision to return to the sport I love in this way."

Alex said in the May statement that he and Maia are looking forward to bringing a new flare to the ice. "Our experiences and the new skills we've developed during our time away from competition have brought us different perspectives and created some exciting new possibilities. We don't take any of this for granted. We're really enjoying the process and look forward to performing and competing together again."

The NFL trade deadline has come and gone. The big names that were rumored to be on the move, like Breece Hall and A.J. Brown, are staying put. Instead, Rashid Shaheed and Jakobi Meyers were the biggest names that were traded, which does not exactly make waves.

While they might not make a huge impact in fantasy with their new teams, it does boost the value of the players from the teams they left. Some of those players have been repeat streamer recommendations this season. Fantasy leagues have mostly picked up on that and added them in many leagues.

In addition, a few popular streamers from last week performed well and are now rostered in too many leagues to qualify as streamers. That just means the process is working. Now, it's time to find the next wave of streamers to help you win in Week 10.

Here are 10 players and one defense you can stream this week.

*Streamers are players who are rostered in 50% or fewer of Yahoo! leagues.

Fantasy Football Week 10 StreamersQuarterbacksJ.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings

Quarterback streaming options are slim this week. With Jayden Daniels, Dak Prescott, Joe Flacco, and Patrick Mahomes injured or on bye, it's time to dig deep.

McCarthy made his first start since Week 2 and looked solid, throwing two touchdowns and rushing for another. His matchup against the Ravens isn't as soft as it appears on paper, but with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison at his disposal, McCarthy is the top streaming option this week.

Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals

Brissett has quietly been reliable in his three starts for the Cardinals, finishing as QB7, QB12, and QB10.

Seattle presents a tougher test, but Brissett has already succeeded against difficult defenses like Green Bay and Indianapolis. He's unlikely to match last week's production against Dallas, but he's still a viable streaming choice.

Running BacksBam Knight/Emari Demercado, Arizona Cardinals

Both backs are in play as streamers, with a slight edge to Demercado, who led the team in rushing attempts last week (14 to 9).

It's anyone's guess who leads the team in carries this week, as it seems to change every week. However, both are getting enough touches to stay in the streaming mix.

Of course, this changes if Trey Benson returns, though that seems unlikely.

Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams

Corum has logged double-digit carries in back-to-back games.

He's somewhat game-script dependent, and both recent matchups were blowouts that inflated his usage. Still, it's notable that the Rams gave Corum the first drive of the second half in Week 9 while up by 10. The team appears to be making a concerted effort to get him more work, likely to preserve Kyren Williams for the stretch run.

Wide ReceiversDarius Slayton, New York Giants

With a lack of a productive running game without Cam Skattebo, the Giants will need to pass to keep up with the Bears. That should lead to another busy day for Slayton, who's seen five and seven targets in his two games since returning from injury.

The matchup is also favorable. The Bears allow the second-most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season.

Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers

Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and Tucker Kraft are all out, while Matthew Golden is nursing a shoulder injury.

That leaves Watson as one of the last healthy options for Green Bay. He's a high-risk, high-reward play but could see heavy volume by necessity.

Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars

The matchup against Houston isn't ideal, but opportunity matters most for streamers.

With Travis Hunter on IR and Brian Thomas Jr. still not practicing as of Thursday, Washington is the likely No. 1 target for Trevor Lawrence, even after Jakobi Meyers' arrival via trade.

Tight EndsJuwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints

Johnson rewarded fantasy managers who streamed him last week and could do so again.

With Rashid Shaheed no longer on the roster, Johnson should see an increase in targets. The matchup is better than last week, too, as the Saints face a much weaker Panthers defense this week.

Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

If the Patriots have a weakness, it's defending tight ends. They currently allow the seventh-most fantasy points to the position.

With Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Bucky Irving all sidelined, expect Otton to serve as a reliable target for Baker Mayfield.

DefenseJacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville was a slight disappointment in Week 9 after a wild fourth quarter and overtime period where both teams combined for 44 points. Before that, both teams had scored just 15 total points.

Don't expect Houston to replicate that kind of scoring output with Davis Mills under center. The Jaguars should bounce back and take advantage of the backup quarterback this week.

An ongoing investigation into game-fixing in college basketball has ensnared six more athletes from three additional schools.

The NCAA announced on Friday that players from the University of New Orleans, Mississippi Valley State and Arizona State have been deemed permanently ineligible for their involvement in game manipulation and sharing information with known bettors and unwillingness to cooperate with the investigations.

The NCAA says the cases at each school are not directly related and represent three separate infractions decisions.

The players involved - Cedquavious Hunter, Dyquavian Short and Jamond Vincent of New Orleans; Donovan Sanders and Alvin Stredic of Mississippi Valley; and Chatton "BJ" Freeman of Arizona State - are no longer enrolled at their schools, the NCAA said in its report.

"Hunter and Sanders declined to participate in their respective cases," the NCAA said in its statement. "Short, Vincent and Stredic were unresponsive to enforcement staff as their respective cases were processed. Freeman participated in a negotiated resolution and agreed to his violations."

In September, the NCAA announced it was investigating 13 college basketball players from six named schools. In conjunction with similar rulings involving Fresno State and Eastern Michigan, the NCAA has now ruled on 12 of those athletes at five separate schools. Temple University is the only named school to still be awaiting a decision.

While a student-athlete at Arizona State, the NCAA says Freeman provided information to an associate and to his then-girlfriend on multiple occasions for the purposes of betting on Freeman through daily fantasy sports accounts.

The cases at New Orleans and Mississippi Valley State each involved unnamed third-party bettors, with the NCAA using information from integrity monitoring services that flagged suspicious betting activity. The subsequent investigations revealed that players at both schools were overheard discussing "throwing" a game and that on the day of one of the flagged games, the New Orleans players even discussed going shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue after receiving their $5,000.

All of this comes as the feds pursue two separate gambling cases involving NBA players that include, according to reports in ESPN and Sports Illustrated, many of the same people behind the NCAA gambling probes.

Shane Hennen and Marves Fairley, both indicted in both of the NBA-related cases, are also alleged to be behind the point-shaving scandal in college basketball, per ESPN and Sports Illustrated.

Hennen and Fairley are career criminals with serious charges on their lengthy rap sheets. Hennen spent 30 months in prison for intent to distribute cocaine and was separately arrested for assault after stabbing someone. Fairley was accused in 2018 of murdering a man in witness protection. The judge, however, cited a "number of matters involving the defendant, state and others,'' and he was given a 15-year suspended sentence with no time served.

As this unfolds, the NCAA is also toying with changing its longstanding policy that prohibits college athletes and staff members from betting on professional sports.

The NCAA initially announced it would lift that gambling ban but amid pushback from both Congress and Southeastern Conference commissioner Greg Sankey doubled back within days, giving member institutions until November 21 to vote to rescind the change.

In order to revert to the original rule and prohibit pro sports gambling, two-thirds of the schools (about 260) must file the necessary paperwork.

The Gators sophomore sat out last year, during the team's national championship season

Florida Gators basketball fans are champing at the "bit" after getting a taste of Olivier Rioux on the college court!

The world's tallest teenager made his official debut on Thursday, Nov. 6 in a game against North Florida, after redshirting his freshman year, where he rode the defending national championship team's bench.

"It felt great," the 7-foot-9-inch center, 19, said about his first game. "The support from everybody was amazing, even on the bench and even the fans. I think everybody supported, and I'm very grateful."

The Canadian — who holds the Guinness record for world's tallest teen — stepped onto the court for the first time with 2:09 left to play in the non-conference game.

Kyle Terada-Imagn Images

Olivier Rioux didn't need a ladder to help cut down the net at last year's Final Four.

After Florida coach Todd Golden didn't play the big man in the team's opening game, a loss against No. 13 Arizona on Monday, Nov. 3, he relented on Thursday after fans began to give him the business at halftime.

"I said, 'Listen, it will happen, the time will come.' I can be stubborn," Golden said. "I don't listen to direction very well at times, so when they're yelling at me to do it, it's kinda like, 'Well, maybe I'll wait a little longer.' "

But fans weren't about to let last year's Naismith Coach of the Year finalist have the final say, chanting "We Want Ollie" until Rioux walked up to the scorer's table at O'Connell Center to check into the game.

Once inserted into the action, Rioux towered over everyone else, as was particularly apparent when he lined up next to his opponents during a free-throw attempt.

And while he didn't get a chance to touch the ball, he apparently brought the Gators good luck as the team throttled the Ospreys, 104-64.

For the sophomore athlete, standing tall is what he's done his entire life. In the sixth grade, Rioux stood at 6 feet, 11 inches.

As for his height, he told Guinness in 2022 that an explanation for his extreme stature has eluded many — even though he's got the genetics.

"We're still not 100% sure why I'm so tall — after investigation, doctors could only explain it with the genetics that my family has." He added, "My father is 6'8, my mom is 6'2 and my older brother is 6'9. So we're a pretty tall family."

DENVER (AP) — Look past the clunky offense and the persistent special teams gaffes and you'll see the exact same thing that carried the Denver Broncos to a tickertape parade the last time they started a season 8-2.

A suffocating defense that erases just about all the warts.

It was Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware and the "No Fly-Zone" secondary in 2015 that carried Peyton Manning and a doddering offense across the finish line in Super Bowl 50.

This time, it's Nik Bonitto, Jonathon Cooper, Zach Allen, Dre Greenlaw, Talanoa Hufanga, Alex Singleton and, when healthy, Pat Surtain II, that's leading the way through all those three-and-outs by scuffling second-year QB Bo Nix and the sputtering offense along with the weekly goof-ups in the kicking game.

The Broncos edged the Las Vegas Raiders 10-7 Thursday night for their seventh straight win thanks to another stellar performance by Vance Joseph's defense. They sacked Geno Smith a half dozen times, pushing their total to 46, more than any team's had in its first 10 games since at least 1990.

They're on pace for an NFL-record 78 sacks.

They allowed just one score in 13 possessions by the Raiders (2-7), of which seven straight featured zero first downs. Eight ended in punts, one of which was blocked by J.L. Skinner, which led to Wil Lutz's game-winning field goal. Dondrea Tillman had an interception and Hufanga sacked Smith on fourth-and-5 from the Denver 38 for a turnover on downs.

"Our defense was fantastic," coach Sean Payton said.

And their offense was abysmal again.

"Yeah, cool we're 8-2 … (but) the defense is winning us the games and we're not helping them, we're not doing them any justice,'' running back J.K. Dobbins said. " I feel bad the way we play on offense and the way they play on defense because they're doing so great and we're doing so bad. They're our brothers, too, and it just (stinks) because they're just out there so many plays, playing their butts off. We can't keep doing this to them.''

The Broncos realize the way they're playing now won't cut it against the league's elite, beginning next week with a showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs (5-4), who have won the AFC West nine years in a row.

"This is probably the best team I've been on and we owe it to the fan base, we owe it to ourselves to stop playing how we're playing,'' Dobbins said. "We got to do better, we just have to do better. Eventually it's going to bite us in the butt.''

Said Nix, "At some point we've got to start moving the ball and scoring some points. Between penalties and sluggish football we're just not playing very good. It starts with me, I've got to be better … we've got to find some juice.''

Right tackle Mike McGlinchey suggested the offense can't keep relying on the defense to bail out the Broncos.

"We've got to do our part,'' he said.

What's working

Denver is on track to obliterate the franchise-record of 63 sacks they collected last season and eclipse the NFL record for most sacks in a season (72 by the Chicago Bears in 1984).

What needs help

Nix's offense was stuck in neutral much of the night and was flagged eight times. Like the Raiders, the Broncos had more penalties (11) than first downs (10). The last time both the Broncos and their opponents had fewer first downs than flags was back in 1971.

Stock up

Bonitto had 1 1/2 sacks, two tackles for loss and three quarterback hits to go with five tackles. According to NextGen Stats, Bonitto has generated 28 pressures in under 2.5 seconds this season, seven more than the next closest pass rusher entering the rest of the Week 10 slate.

Stock down

Rookie P Jeremy Crawshaw regressed from a solid start to the season with three shanked punts. The first one traveled 30 yards to the Denver 41, setting up the Raiders' only touchdown. The second traveled 36 yards and bounced out of bounds at the Las Vegas 29. And the third one, which followed AJ Cole's second coffin corner punt for the Raiders, went 38 yards to the Denver 48. Tack on a penalty and the Raiders started at Denver's 43.

Injuries

The Broncos haven't missed star cornerback Surtain (pectoral muscle) nearly as much as they've missed WR/KR Marvin Mims Jr. (concussion). They've muffed two punts in his two-game absence. RG Quinn Meinerz left Thursday night's game after getting sick in the second half.

Key stat

The Broncos have outscored their opponents 96-36 in the fourth quarter so far, and over their seven-game winning streak, that differential is 86-20.

Next steps

The Broncos get a mini-bye week before they return to work Monday to begin preparing for a visit from Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, who are on their bye week. It'll take a much better all-round effort to beat KC and build a big lead over the team that's owned the division since 2016.

Former LSU football coach Brian Kelly shared his first statement on Thursday, Nov. 6, since being fired nearly two weeks ago.

Kelly was fired midway through his fourth season with the Tigers on Oct. 26 following LSU's 49-25 loss to Texas A&M at home.

REQUIRED READING: Timeline reveals how Brian Kelly firing exposed LSU athletics dysfunction

The move has sent a shockwave through LSU athletics in the aftermath, which also parted ways with athletic director Scott Woodward. LSU president Wade Rousse, who was named as the university's next leader on Nov. 4, then named Verge Ausberry the Tigers' permanent athletic director after serving in an interim role for a few days.

"As everyone heads on their way to see the Tigers play, I wish Coach (Frank) Wilson, the coaches and our players the best this weekend," Kelly wrote on social media. "I know they will do their best for themselves and for LSU. We will be watching and cheering for you.

"This journey may have ended, but it's a journey that will stay with me and my family forever."

Kelly had never been fired as a college head coach before. The 64-year-old coach led Division II Grand Valley State to back-to-back national championships before moving to Central Michigan, where he finished 9-4 in his last season.

— Brian Kelly (@CoachBrianKelly) November 6, 2025

Kelly then took over at Cincinnati and led the Bearcats to back-to-back New Year's Six bowls in 2008-09. He then went 92-39 at Notre Dame and won double-digit games in his final five seasons there.

Kelly couldn't quite bring the same success to Baton Rouge, though, with the Tigers failing to finish ranked in the top 10 in his first three seasons with the program. LSU's leaders said they expect to reach the College Football Playoff every season with the expanded 12-team bracket, and that wasn't going to happen in 2025 after the Tigers' third loss, which ultimately led to Kelly's exit.

Each of the three coaches at LSU before Kelly – Nick Saban, Les Miles and Ed Orgeron – won national titles with the program. Kelly went 34-14 during his time with the program.

"The losses will always hurt, but I will remember all of the wins," Kelly wrote.
