Don't let the unsettling trailer fool you, the vibes between Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson were all good on the set of *Die My Love*.

During a recent appearance on the *Las Culturistas *podcast, the Oscar-winning actress revealed that she felt very comfortable working alongside Pattinson while shooting the psychodrama romance, especially when it came to filming intimate scenes.

"We did dance lessons together, which was like team building exercises," she told hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers. "In the end, it ended up being more helpful just for choreography of sex scenes and fighting scenes."

Asked if the production had an intimacy coordinator, Lawrence was unsure, but explained that she didn't feel the need to call upon one while working through the film's sex scenes with Pattinson.

"We did not have one or maybe we did, but we didn't really… I felt really safe with him," she shared. "He's not pervy and he's very in love with [partner] Suki [Waterhouse]. We mostly were talking about our kids and relationships so there wasn't any weird, like, 'Does he think I like him?'"

She added, "If there was a little bit of that I would probably have an intimacy coordinator. A lot of male actors get offended if you don't want to f--- them, and then the punishment starts. But he was not like that, for the record."

In a prior interview with *Brut Magazine*, on the heels of the film's Cannes Film Festival premiere, Lawrence and Pattinson confirmed that they did in fact have an intimacy coordinator on set for *Die My Love* — but felt comfortable enough to film the scenes without much guidance.

"On our first day of shooting, we were naked, attacking each other like tigers," Lawrence joked.

Pattinson added, "You think you can't get more embarrassed and then they're like, 'Now do it naked.'"

The *Twilight* alum then took care to acknowledge how having an intimacy coordinator on board made a big difference. "It's not just to feel secure sometimes, " he explained. "I think directors sometimes are a little bit scared to say, like, 'Your body looks weird in this angle.' And if you have someone else whose specific job is to say, 'Just move a little bit in this direction,' you're gonna like it more."

Intimacy coordinators have emerged as a crucial role in Hollywood and theater in the wake of the #MeToo movement. SAG-AFTRA, the labor union representing actors and others in the entertainment industry, describes the role as "an advocate, a liaison between actors and production, and a movement coach and/or choreographer in regards to nudity and simulated sex in intimate and other hyper exposed scenes."

Elsewhere in her *Las Culturistas *conversation, Lawrence shared that she also felt perfectly fine with appearing nude in the movie, which was filmed while she was pregnant with her second child.

"I don't care about nudity. I'm not sensitive about it," she told the hosts. "I think being pregnant took a lot of, like, vanity anxiety away. Before *No Hard Feelings*, I was dieting and not eating carbs and working out. I was pregnant [in *Die My Love*]. What was I gonna do? Not eat?"

Lawrence said that at one point, production sent over a shot from the movie with "a close-up of cellulite" and asked if she wanted them to touch it up in editing.

"I was like, 'No. That's an ass,'" she said.

*Die My Love* stars Lawrence and Pattinson as a couple whose marriage unravels amid mounting psychological distress. Billed as a dark comedy and psychological thriller, the film hits theaters on Nov. 7.

When Netflix introduced its then-revolutionary mail-in rental service in the late '90s, it was competing with businesses like movie theaters, Blockbuster, and even Tower Video. Some of those stalwarts have faltered, but Netflix has only continued to expand its library and influence, shifting to a streaming platform in 2007 that offers studio and indie films, cable and broadcast TV series, and its own prestige (or not) content.

Beyond a treasure trove of original series and features, the service has curated a laundry list of excellent films both new and old. Here are the 25 best movies on Netflix right now.

George MacKay as Lance Corporal Will Schofield and Benedict Cumberbatch as Colonel Mackenzie in '1917'

This Oscar-winning war film presents its story with bracing realism. In *1917*, Lance Corporal William "Will" Schofield (George MacKay) is a British soldier embarking on a perilous journey through the trenches and battlefields of World War I. Will is paired with Lance Corporal Thomas "Tom" Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman) and tasked with personally delivering a message to a colonel to call off an offensive attack that would put British soldiers in harm's way.

Director Sam Mendes and cinematographer Roger Deakins skillfully give the film the illusion of being shot seamlessly — as if in only one continuous take — which, EW's critic observes, "effectively drops the viewer into the center of the story and compels them to stay there, fully immersed in every muddy step, hunger pang, and rifle click." —*Kevin Jacobsen***** Where to watch *1917*: Netflix******EW grade:** A–******Director:** Sam Mendes******Cast:** George MacKay, Dean-Charles Chapman, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch**

While *28 Days Later* (2002) and its sequel, *28 Weeks Later *(2007), focused on the immediate aftermath of the devastating "Rage Virus," this third installment explores how society has adapted to its dystopian new reality. The film follows Spike (Alfie Williams), a boy who's only ever known life under quarantine, as he ventures out with his father (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) into dangerous territory. Exploring themes of grief and mortality without sacrificing the gruesome violence we've come to expect from the franchise, *28 Years Later* is, as EW's critic puts it, "strange, unpredictable, gloriously revolting, darkly funny, and, when you least expect it, rather touching." —*K.J.***

Tre (Cuba Gooding Jr.), an aspiring college student, dreams big while trying to survive the streets of South Central L.A. in this absorbing coming-of-age drama. A war between rival gangs begins when Tre's childhood friend Doughboy (Ice Cube) is released from prison and now a member of the Crips. After the Bloods start a conflict with Ricky (Morris Chestnut), the tension between the gangs reaches a breaking point.

Writer-director John Singleton earned heaps of praise for the film, including two Oscar nominations. EW's critic notes of Singleton's direction: "Through dialogue and atmosphere, he establishes how the cult of violence — of guns, and the neurotic masculine power they represent — has, in an era of hopelessness, become a face-saving religion for Black urban youth, one that's working to devour all nonbelievers." —*K.J.*

*As if* we wouldn't recommend this '90s favorite whenever it shows up on any streaming service.**** Amy Heckerling cleverly adapted the story structure of Jane Austen's classic novel *Emma* and it with a Beverly Hills high school setting. In her most iconic role, Alicia Silverstone plays Cher Horowitz, a popular fashion-forward student who enjoys tending to her projects, by which we mean playing with people's lives, from becoming a matchmaker for her teachers to giving new student Tai (Brittany Murphy) a makeover. But Cher's pampered world is thrown into chaos when Tai takes a liking to the boy she might be *totally* crushing on. While EW's critic initially gave *Clueless* a C+, the film has since been regarded as a modern classic and one of the best high school movies of all time. —*K.J.*

Emily the Criminal (2022)

Aubrey Plaza gives one of her finest turns to date in this grounded thriller. She plays the titular down-on-her-luck felon who resorts to theft to make her way out from under a mountain of debt. "She may be a wanton criminal, but she's also a woman very much for these times," EW's critic writes. "Not the anti-heroine we knew we needed, maybe, but one that we deserve." It's a visceral, often unbearably anxious film that showcases Plaza's steeliest, most nuanced performance in a career full of them. *—Declan Gallagher*

With *E.T.*, Steven Spielberg invoked a kind of timeless childlike wonder that resonates with kids and adults alike. The sci-fi classic centers on a boy named Elliott (Henry Thomas) who befriends a kind alien creature who was left behind on Earth by his fellow invaders. As Elliott tries to help the creature he dubs E.T. find his way home, he also develops a close kinship with him, allowing himself to work through the difficulties of his parents' divorce. Frankenstein (2025)

Guillermo del Toro, lover of monsters big and small, proves to be an ideal fit for adapting the story of Frankenstein. Del Toro remains relatively faithful to the gothic sensibility of Mary Shelley's novel, which centers on the titular scientist as he creates a sentient creature in his lab. As in the book, this adaptation sees the makeshift father and son at odds, though del Toro provides us with a much more sympathetic Creature, brought to life brilliantly by Jacob Elordi in all his sad-eyed, long-limbed wonder.

"Every time you have drama on film is great," del Toro explains to EW. "Every time you have drama in your life, it's coming from a false understanding of life. Either you think you *deserve* more or you don't deserve this. And the word 'deserve' has nothing to do with living. It just is. And the movie tries to show those things." —*K.J.***

Films in the long-running *Godzilla* franchise aren't exactly known for their human characters compared to the titular giant reptilian monster, but this universally acclaimed installment is a rare exception. The film focuses on former kamikaze pilot Kōichi Shikishima (Ryunosuke Kamiki), a man with PTSD after failing to prevent Godzilla from destroying an island community during World War II. Haunted by the incident, Shikishima looks for redemption when the imposing monster returns to terrorize Japan.

EW's critic ranks *Godzilla Minus One* — which won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects — as the fourth-best film in the franchise, writing, "This sweeping blend of character-driven drama, maritime adventure, and kaiju mayhem is popcorn entertainment at its best." —*K.J.*

Quentin Tarantino's first of three revisionist historical epics (preceding 2012's *Django Unchained* and 2019's *Once Upon a Time in Hollywood*) is a wildly entertaining Molotov cocktail. The film follows the parallel courses of a commando unit of mostly Jewish-American soldiers and a French woman looking for revenge as they both try to take down the Nazis during World War II. Bolstered by an instantly iconic Oscar-winning performance from Christoph Waltz as a wicked SS officer, *Inglourious Basterds* is a thrilling slice of alternate history, written with Tarantino's signature sharp sense of dialogue. —*K.J.***

Or is it the Parks benefiting from the hard work of those they deem below them? Bong Joon Ho's darkly comedic thriller is brilliant and propulsive in many ways, entertaining the audience with its twists and turns while also providing trenchant social commentary about class and capitalism. After Peter discovers a buried secret about Phil, he methodically plots his revenge on his uncle. *Spencer* is far from the Princess Diana biopic you would expect. Beginning with a title card that reads "A fable from a true tragedy," this psychological drama from Pablo LarraΓn envisions an emotionally taxing Christmas holiday that Princess Diana spent with the British royal family in 1991. While the holiday took place in real life, the film imagines how Diana may have felt as the pressures of her situation cause her to unravel. J.C. Chandor's masculine action riff, about a group of special ops planning a heist in South America, is a stark contrast to his earlier, more patient efforts in 2011's *Margin Call*, 2013's *All Is Lost*, or 2014's *A Most Violent Year* (his masterpiece). While not as thematically strong as those films, *Triple Frontier* offers a dose of adrenaline that, much like *The Strangers*, harkens back to a forgotten era of mid-'70s B pictures. "There may be no honor among thieves," EW's critic writes, "but *Triple Frontier *certainly makes watching them pretty entertaining." *—D.G.*

Will Ferrell and Harper Steele have been close friends since joining *Saturday Night Live* in the mid-'90s. After Steele came out as a trans woman in 2022, she and Ferrell embarked on a road trip across America so he could get to know her authentic truth and for her own personal journey of self-acceptance. This documentary — hilarious and moving in equal measure — chronicles the trip as Ferrell learns how to be an ally and wield his privilege for good and Steele opens up about her demons and finds catharsis. "Come for the laughs, cameos, and raw emotions," writes EW's critic, "stay for the pitch-perfect theme song co-written and performed by Kristen Wiig." —*K.J.***

The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Three More (2024)

This whimsical anthology film finds auteur director Wes Anderson bringing the stories of Roald Dahl to life. Originally released as four short films in 2023, Netflix has now assembled them all into one collection. *The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar*, which won the Oscar for Best Live Action Short, centers on the titular character's years-long training process to be able to see without his eyes — all so he can cheat at gambling.

Other shorts are *The Swan *(about the struggles of a bullied boy), *The Rat Catcher *(about, well, an exterminator of rats), and *Poison *(about a man who finds a snake in his bed). Anderson's flair for carefully crafted aesthetics is a throughline, as is his love of the art of storytelling. —*K.J.***

The Wrong Missy (2020)

David Spade as Tim Morris and Lauren Lapkus as Missy in 'The Wrong Missy'

Katrina Marcinowski/Netflix/Everett

On paper, *The Wrong Missy* is nothing new: David Spade goes on a bad date with Lauren Lapkus, whose name is Missy, and then means to invite a cute girl (Molly Sims), hilariously also named Missy, with him on a company retreat to Hawaii. (No points for guessing which Missy ends up on the trip.) The film coasts by on a general likability, but if not for Lapkus' performance, the story would be lost at sea. She glues the entire enterprise together with a mixture of well-played raunch and genuine pathos, selling the moment and keeping the plot bouncing along to the next joke. *—D.G.*

**Cast:** Lauren Lapkus, David Spade, Molly Sims, Jackie Sandler, Rob Schneider

Taylor Momsen was never scared of the titular character in the 2000 movie version of *How the Grinch Stole Christmas*, because she always understood that he was funnyman Jim Carrey. It's just that she didn't know what the real Carrey looked like under all that makeup and those prosthetics.

"Jim Carrey is the Grinch." Momsen said of her thinking on Thursday's episode of the *Call Her Daddy* podcast with Alex Cooper. "So I didn't know who Jim was until the premiere and someone had to point him out to me and go, 'That's Jim,' and I went, 'Oh, Jim.'"

Momsen played little Cindy Lou Who in the movie based on the beloved Dr. Seuss book that was first published in 1957. In the story, the tot convinces the evil character — with the personality of "a bad banana with a greasy black peel" — to see that the meaning of Christmas is much more about love than commercialism. (Despite the fact that even the Whos worked themselves up into a frenzy shopping around that time of year.)

"I get asked a lot if he scared me, because I think a lot of kids were scared of the Grinch," said Momsen, who was just 7 when the movie was released. "He was never scary to me. To me, he was always Jim, and he was always in makeup."

Always. (The movie actually received the 2001 Oscar for Best Makeup.)

"The funny thing is, I never knew what Jim Carrey looked like," the *Gossip Girl* actress said, "because I never saw him cause he was there way early doing the prosthetics."

Still, Momsen had nothing but good things to say about Carrey/The Grinch.

"He was very protective of me," she recalled. "He was very kind, super funny, super animated, absolutely awesome."

The rest of the cast for the Ron Howard-directed film included Christine Baranski, Molly Shannon, Bill Irwin, and Jeffrey Tambor.

In August 2000, three months before the movie's release, Carrey himself — by then known for movies such as *Ace Ventura: Pet Detective* and its sequel; *The Mask*; *Batman Forever*; and *The Truman Show* — told * *that playing the green creature wasn't always delightful.

"About two weeks in, I was having a lot of trouble with the Grinch suit, so they brought a guy in who actually teaches people how to handle torture, and he gave me a couple of tips," Carrey said. "You just forget [the pain]. Sitting around in that suit was not too fun, but performing in it was amazing. I can be as uncomfortable as I want, but when somebody says action, it's like going into another reality."**

Bianca Lawson is taking a trip down memory lane.

On Nov. 4, at Glamour's Women of the Year event at The Plaza Hotel, the 46-year-old actress opened up about a moment early in her career that left a lasting mark. During the filming of the 1998 film Primary Colors at just 17, Lawson says she found herself spending quiet moments in the trailer of Oscar-winning actress Emma Thompson, 66.

In Primary Colors, Emma Thompson plays Susan Stanton, the suffering wife of a Southern governor, played by John Travolta, running for president. Meanwhile, Lawson plays Loretta, a character navigating the political world.

"She would do yoga in her trailer and have me sit there while she gave me life advice," Lawson recalls to PEOPLE exclusively. "'Never let them put you on a diet,' she told me. It was empowering — just to be true to yourself, not to buckle to shallow pressures and to remember that your mind is the most important thing."

Thompson didn't just offer words of encouragement; she also penned Lawson a beautiful poem, a gesture the actress still cherishes. "I don't have it anymore, but I think about it all the time," Lawson says. "I wish I did, if I did, I would post it on Instagram and say, 'Oh my God, you're amazing.'"

Even decades later, the advice and guidance from Thompson continue to resonate with Lawson, a reminder of the rare kindness and mentorship she received early on in an industry not always known for nurturing young talent.

"It was such a special moment," Lawson says, smiling. "And it's something I carry with me to this day."

During the interview, the former Pretty Little Liars actor reflected on the role her family has played throughout her career, which was especially meaningful navigating a career as a child actor.

"My aunt Glen, she was someone I really looked up to," Lawson says. "She passed away when I was 12, but she was one of those magical people who always made me feel looked after, always made me feel protected. She remembered everything, every little moment that was important to me — she remembered so far into the future."

"I think when you have that, it makes you go out into the world with so much confidence because you know that you have someone who loves you so much and is always waiting for you," she adds.

"My mother was with me all the time, and it's really special to have parents who genuinely have your best interest at heart, especially when they're protecting you," she continues. "That kind of support has shaped who I am, both on and off the screen."

Sofia Richie Grainge is celebrating her husband's special day with some sweet family photos.

On Thursday, Nov. 6, the pregnant model, 27, shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram as she celebrated her husband Elliot Grainge's 31st birthday. In one photo, Sofia and Elliot can be seen posing outside with their daughter Eloise, whom they welcomed in May 2024.

Eloise could be seen wearing a pink sweatshirt and matching pink sweatpants as Elliot bent down to tickle her foot. Sofia smiled down at her daughter as the photo was captured.

Another sweet photo showed Sofia and Elliot holding their baby daughter, who wore a light green dress. The two smiled together as they posed outside.

"Happy birthday to my best friend and soul mate @elliotgrainge !! You are the best dad and husband I could ever dream of. We are absolutely obsessed w you and love you to death πŸ€πŸ€ŽπŸ’•," Sofia wrote in her caption.

On Oct. 16, Sofia announced she's expecting her second baby with Elliot, sharing the exciting news via Instagram. In her snap, the proud mom showed off a silhouette of her bare baby bump in a mirror selfie.

"On my way to launch these babies πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ + @srgatelier," she captioned the post.

This past May, Sofia shared a peek on Instagram at how she and Elliot celebrated their daughter Eloise's first year around the sun. In her post, she included an emotional message about watching her daughter grow up over the past few months.

"A year ago today my little girl was born," she wrote alongside the photo. "I didn't realize her first birthday was going to be such a mix of emotion for me. On one hand it's the most amazing, beautiful milestone. On the other hand I look back and realize those tiny little moments are something I'll never get back. Watching her grow has been a gift. My greatest achievement will ALWAYS be her."

"She has given me purpose, and I am nothing without her. Elliot and I couldn't love anything in this life more. I don't know what I did to deserve my little buggie, but all I know is my heaven is right here on earth with her πŸ’•so beyond blessed," Sofia concluded her caption.

Later that summer in July, Sofia opened up about her bond with her little one in a Vogue "Beauty Secrets" video. "I think having a daughter made me realize the importance of feeling confident without makeup," she said at the time.

"I talk to her a lot about that. I love how I'm saying I talk to her a lot about that, because she's 1 and she barely speaks, but I am convinced that she can understand me. Therefore, we have deep, deep chats about life," she added of her toddler.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Fox Sports' NFL pregame show on Sunday will continue the network's tradition of honoring the military with Veterans Day on Tuesday.

"Fox NFL Sunday" normally goes on the road and visits military bases for the two-hour program, but this year's show will be from the Fox Sports Studios lot in Los Angeles with Jay Glazer doing segments from the Veterans Day Parade in Washington, D.C.

Highlights of the show will be Terry Bradshaw doing a feature with former Pittsburgh Steelers teammate Rocky Bleier. The Vietnam War veteran overcame an injury in combat and had an 11-year NFL career that included four Super Bowl titles.

Tom Rinaldi will have a feature on Phil McConkey, who went to Navy and flew CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters before winning a Super Bowl with the New York Giants after finishing his military service.

In previous years, the show visited the nation's three military academies in a five-year period.

"Fox NFL Sunday" was also aboard the USS Harry S. Truman in the Mediterranean Sea in 2000 and visited Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan in 2009.
