“She made us all smile for 18 years … we’re going to miss her forever. Thank you Betty for all the love and joy you brought into our lives,” the No Doubt singer wrote, in part, of the couple’s beloved pet

The pair previously shared that Betty was originally Shelton’s dog, but she quickly warmed up to Stefani after they began dating

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are mourning the loss of their longtime pet companion, Betty.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, the “Don’t Speak” singer, 56, shared in a heartfelt Instagram post that the couple’s 18-year-old dog had died.

“It’s with the heaviest hearts that we share our sweet Betty has gone to heaven 💔🕊️🐾,” she wrote, alongside a video — set to the couple’s duet of “Nobody But You” — featuring photos and clips of their beloved pet.

The video shows Stefani and Shelton, 50 — as well as Stefani’s kids Zuma, Apollo and Kingston — playing with Betty as well as some of her public appearances, mentions on TV and a clip of her cameo in their “Nobody But You” music video.

The dog can also be seen spending some time at the “God’s Country” singer’s ranch in Tishomingo, Okla.

Though the couple don’t often post about their animals on social media, they are also pet parents to dog Ginger and cat Corn Shelton, who they adopted as a kitten in 2024 after he turned up at their home.

Two weeks ago, Betty made a rare appearance on Stefani’s Instagram when the singer decided to crash Shelton’s concert. Betty could be seen hanging with Stefani in her trailer before the show, donning a handkerchief around her neck and a dog bed ready for her to nap on.

The couple — who wed on July 3, 2021, seven years after they met on the judging panel of The Voice in 2014 — have previously spoken about their love for Betty.

Shelton shared in a 2020 interview with CMTthat while Betty was originally his pet before the pair got together, Betty warmed up to Stefani quickly.

“She gets jealous,” Shelton joked of Betty’s personality. “She’s Gwen’s dog now, and so that’s where the jealousy comes in.”

“She loves both of her parents very much,” the No Doubt singer chimed in at the time.
