Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez plans to endorse Bernie Sanders at a campaign rally on Saturday, in accordance with two Sanders aides, strengthening the Vermont senator’s pull among younger liberals.
The influential New York congresswoman’s endorsement will come at a pivotal second in Sanders' presidential bid, which has stalled in the polls as he faces continued questions about his age and health following a heart assault that curtailed his marketing campaign activities.
Ocasio-Cortez has been invested in Sanders' political career prior to the upcoming endorsement: the 30-year-old volunteered in his 2016 presidential campaign and was encouraged to run for Congress in 2018 by a gaggle that grew out of his campaign.
The congresswoman, who has shortly turn out to be one of the crucial influential voices in younger liberalism after her surprise victory over Joe Crowley, plans to current her sought-after endorsement at a “Bernie’s Again” rally on Saturday in Queens just outdoors her congressional district.
