Joe Biden defended his son’s choice to hitch the board of a Ukrainian pure fuel firm whereas he was vice chairman, saying each he and his son “did nothing mistaken.”
“My son did nothing improper. I did nothing fallacious,” Biden stated on the Democratic debate stage on Tuesday when asked about his son’s business dealings. “I carried out the policy of the United States in rooting out corruption in Ukraine.”
Biden then pivoted to the impeachment inquiry involving President Donald Trump’s July telephone name with newly elected Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky by which he pressured him to investigate the Bidens. Biden stated Trump did so as a result of if he have been to obtain the Democratic nomination, Biden would “beat him like a drum.”
“What I feel is necessary is we give attention to why it's so necessary to take away this man from workplace,” he stated on stage at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. “This president on three events, three events, has invited overseas governments and heads of presidency to get engaged in making an attempt to alter our elections. The very fact is that it is outrageous.”
In an effort to push back on Trump’s assaults on the Biden household and unsubstantiated claims of corruption, Hunter Biden appeared on Good Morning America Tuesday morning to vehemently dispute accusations that he or his father did anything improper when it got here to his enterprise dealings in Ukraine and China.
Though he affirmed his father’s assertions that there have been no discussions between the 2 of Hunter’s overseas business dealings, he did concede to displaying "poor judgment" in working with overseas corporations while his father was in office.
