- Joseph Kahn said he was "starstruck" by a celebrity power couple at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding on Friday.

One of Taylor Swift's key collaborators was enchanted to meet a couple of very special guests at her wedding to Travis Kelce.
Joseph Kahn, the filmmaker who directed eight of the singer's music videos in the 2010s, said that he met one of his Hollywood heroes at the festivities at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday.
"I finally met Steven Spielberg tonight and spoke to him a while about filmmaking and his camera blocking," Kahn shared on X.

Kahn also said that he was thrilled to meet Spielberg's wife, Kate Capshaw, whom he referred to as Willie Scott, the name of her character in 1984's *Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom*. "Also got to meet Willie Scott," he wrote. "Bro, I'm buzzing."
After another user opined that "Meeting Kate Capshaw is the bigger treat," Kahn responded, "Not gonna lie, I was starstruck."
Kahn also confirmed the reports that guests were forbidden from using their cell phones during the event. "I haven't been without my phone that long since 1992," he wrote.

In a separate post, Kahn congratulated the couple of the hour. "Congratulations @taylorswift13 and @tkelce," he wrote. "I look forward to them producing lots of genetic super children."
The director refused to confirm whether or not Kelce cried during the ceremony, but shared, "I definitely cried."
Kahn first worked with Swift on the iconic video for her 2014 single "Blank Space," which famously featured the singer smashing a luxury sports car with a golf club.

Kahn went on to direct all four videos from Swift's 2017 album *Reputation*: "Look What You Made Me Do," "Ready For It?", "End Game," and "Delicate."

Swift recently asked Spielberg to help induct her into the Songwriters Hall of Fame last month. The *Jaws* director gave a heartfelt speech that compared the "Love Story" singer to the all-time great songwriters, describing her as "a singular artist and a genuine phenomenon whose place in our culture rivals that of the composers of the [Great] American Songbook, Lennon and McCartney of the '60s, and the singer-songwriters of the '70s like Carole King and Stevie 'Let's Go' Nicks and your namesake James Taylor."
Spielberg also wove references to several of Swift's songs — including "All Too Well," "Mirrorball," "This is Me Trying," and "Evermore" — into the conclusion of his speech.

"Somehow, Taylor knows us all too well," the *Disclosure Day* director said. "So tonight is a recognition that while she wrote 'You Belong With Me,' in the most profound way, we belong to her. So thank you, Taylor, for the gift of your stories, and for insisting on being an authentic voice in a world where the line between real and fake is increasingly blurry. You are our mirrorball, and tonight to again steal from a great, great songwriter, I just want you to know that this is me trying to tell everyone that in my book, you are evermore."

During her own remarks at the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony, Swift shared a brief piece of wisdom she received from Capshaw.
"Kate said something I’ll never forget. She said, 'Good and true things are easy,'" she recalled (via *Variety*). "And if I look back at my entire 23-year career in music, the ups and downs, the industry battles, the trials and tribulations, the tears and the cheers and the dogpiling of doubt, the criticism, both fair and unfair, the complete loss of privacy, the world tours and the ego wars and the twists of fate, the absolute magical chaos of this path that I chose when I was too young to remember it ever being a choice at all, songwriting was the easiest thing I ever did."
