After running for five seasons, The Morning Show is officially preparing for its final news cycle. Following the announcement, lead stars and executive producers Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon shared emotional reflections on concluding the award-winning series.
What did Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon say about The Morning Show ending after five seasons?
As the series co-leads, both Aniston and Witherspoon expressed deep gratitude for the show’s landmark five-season run.
“From the beginning, Apple has supported our vision for ‘The Morning Show,’ and we feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to tell stories that reflect what’s happening in the world around us with a twist of dark humor,” Aniston said on The Morning Show’s fabulous run, per Variety.
She further added, “It’s been such a privilege to work with this insanely talented cast and our extraordinary writers, producers, and crew. We’ve become such a family and we’re all so excited to share this final season. And going in knowing it would be our last, we were so fortunate to craft the conclusion with intentionality and honor these characters the way they deserve.”Likewise, Witherspoon too had a lot of good memories to share. Summing up the journey for all these years, Witherspoon termed the show “the honor of a lifetime.”

Taking a stroll down memory lane, she stated, “This was always more than a show about a newsroom — it was a show about why the newsroom matters. About freedom of the press, and the journalists who protect the fourth estate, often at great cost. Telling that story has been the creative privilege of my career. Thank you to Apple for their unwavering support, to our visionary writers, to our incredible crew, and to our extraordinarily talented cast, who brought five seasons to life with a truth audiences believed every step of the way. It has been a stellar creative experience — one I will always treasure.”
The Morning Show will remain one of the milestones for Apple TV too. At first, the project was sanctioned for a two-season run back in 2017, ahead of its 2019 debut. But the overwhelming fan reception compelled Apple to change its plans.
The Morning Show will return for its fifth and final season on Apple TV+ in 2027.
