A SENIOR RAF officer based mostly at the Pentagon is to stand trial over an alleged £25,000 fraud.
Wing Commander Alex Drysdale, 44, has been in Washington DC for almost two years helping the USAF develop future preventing capabilities.
He's accused of fraud in relation to his overseas lease allowance of $28,127 (£22,204) and his gasoline and lighting allowance of $three,708 (£2,927).
He denies the fees and faces a court martial at Catterick Garrison, North Yorks, subsequent month.

Commodore James Farrant, prosecuting, advised the courtroom: "The final quantum figures concerned relate to overseas lease allowance totalling $28,127 and gasoline and lighting allowance of $3,708."
