What occurred to Pete Carroll?

Pete Carroll can be shifting to an advisory position with the Seattle Seahawks and will be stepping down as their head coach.

In the 2023 season, the Seahawks missed the NFL playoffs for the second time in three years.

Carroll has been the top coach for Seattle for 14 years. The Seahawks gained their first Tremendous Bowl title in 2014 beneath his management.

The workforce also qualified for the playoffs 10 occasions, clinched their division 5 occasions, and made two consecutive NFL& Super Bowl appearances.

When did the Seahawks announce that Pete Carroll was leaving?

On January 10, 2024, the Seahawks announced that Carroll was stepping down from his position as the top coach.

Jody Allen, proprietor of the Seahawks, released a statement that stated the decision came after "considerate conferences and cautious consideration for one of the best curiosity of the franchise."

The announcement dropped just days after Carroll stated that he meant to proceed to teach the Seahawks on his radio present.

"I plan to be coaching this staff," Carroll informed Seattle Sports 710 AM.

"I informed you that I really like these guys, and that's what I want to be doing and see how far I can go. I'm not worn out. I'm not drained."

"I'm not any of that stuff. I have to do a better job and I want to help my coaches more and we need to do a better job of coaching, and there's loads of area for improvement."

Who's Mike MacDonald?

Mike MacDonald is the previous defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens.

He joined the Ravens in 2014 as an intern and spent almost a complete of nine years with the group.

MacDonald, whose wife, Stephanie, is a cheerleader for the Ravens, left the organization for a yr to teach the NCAA's Michigan Wolverines for a yr before returning to Baltimore in 2022.

On January 31, 2024, it was revealed that Mike MacDonald was employed to switch Pete Carroll as head coach.

Before the announcement, there were rumors and studies that MacDonald was the front-runner for the position.
