Kyle Walker will remain Man City captain after opening up about betraying wife and secret lovechild, says Pep Guardiola
PEP GUARDIOLA has confirmed Kyle Walker will stay as Manchester Metropolis captain.
The England defender spoke to The Solar on the weekend expressing his regret at the way he has treated his wife Annie.
He admitted fathering two youngsters with mannequin and influencer Lauryn Goodman in recent times.
Guardiola stated he won't speak concerning the personal lives of his players however stated there isn't any plan to strip the Three Lions defender of the armband.
Asked if the captaincy remained unchanged, he stated: "Absolutely, because it's a choice for the staff and not mine.
"I can't speak about private issues. I help him and his family however I don't say one phrase concerning the private lives of my gamers."
The information Walker will stay on as captain comes after he admitted that he almost followed England team-mate Harry Kane in joining Bayern Munich last summer.
