Weeks after top Senate Democrats pushed for answers on whether a provision in the controversial tax settlement between President Trump and his own administration applies to companies co-founded by or affiliated with the Trump family, several of the businesses have distanced themselves from the deal, according to Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who launched the investigation.

As part of the settlement, which was finalized in May by the Justice Department to resolve a lawsuit brought by Mr. Trump, the Internal Revenue Service is permanently barred from pursuing claims against Mr. Trump, his oldest sons Don Jr. and Eric, and the Trump Organization based on prior tax returns.

In a one-page document signed by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and dated May 19, the Justice Department said the defendants in the president's lawsuit — the IRS and the Treasury Department — are "FOREVER BARRED and PRECLUDED" from "prosecuting or pursuing, any and all claims" related to tax returns filed before the settlement took effect. Blanche also wrote that the settlement applies to "parties including trusts, parent, sister, or related companies, affiliates, and subsidiaries."

The settlement has become a sticking point in the push to confirm acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to the role permanently after two Republican senators expressed reservations about supporting Blanche's nomination over the IRS deal and a $1.8 billion "anti-weaponization fund" that was also at the heart of the deal.

Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, one of the GOP holdouts, said Wednesday that a proposed meeting with Blanche had been called off and that the deal "provides immunity [to Mr. Trump] from audits that no other taxpayer could possibly get." The other GOP senator who initially didn't commit to voting for Blanche's confirmation, Thom Tillis of North Carolina, has indicated he is closer to supporting Blanche.

Earlier this month, Warren, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York and Ranking Member of the Senate Finance Committee Ron Wyden of Oregon pushed 11 businesses and organizations with ties to the Trump family to get answers for the "significant questions" the settlement raises relating to the tax audit provision, and whether the companies are included in the deal.

Mining company Kaz Resources, defense firm Powerus, cryptocurrency companies World Liberty Financial and American Bitcoin, robotics startup Foundation Future Industries, investment firm 1789 Capital and private aviation company Tag Air were among the companies receiving letters, as well as prediction markets Polymarket and Kalshi.

All of the companies either were founded by Mr. Trump and his two adult sons, or list members of the Trump family as advisers, board members, or partial owners. Donald Trump Jr. sits on Polymarket's advisory board and 1789 Capital, where he's a partner, has invested in Polymarket. Days before Mr. Trump took office for his second term, Kalshi also announced Trump Jr. would be a strategic adviser.

Trump Media and Technology Group, which is majority owned by a trust that lists Mr. Trump as a beneficiary and operates the Truth Social platform he uses daily, also received a letter from the Democratic senators.

In letters obtained by CBS News, representatives from Trump Media and Technology Group, Kalshi, Polymarket, Kaz Resources, Powerus, and American Bitcoin all distanced themselves from the IRS audit deal.

In a letter from Trump Media and Technology Group to the senators, a lawyer representing the company said that the company "is not party to such settlement and is not aware of any applicability to TMTG."

The senators also asked the Trump Organization in a separate letter if it believed it has "immunity from all audits, civil penalties or federal prosecution" for any crimes that could have occurred before the settlement.

The organization, as well as World Liberty Financial, 1789 Capital, Tag Air, Inc. and Foundation Future Industries also never responded, Warren's office said.

"Several Trump-tied companies failed to respond to our basic questions about this corrupt agreement, raising real concerns that they plan to use it as a get-out-of-jail-free card," Senator Warren said in a statement to CBS News. "Americans deserve answers and accountability now."

Because the Democrats, who are in the minority, lack subpoena power, Mr. Trump, his children and his companies were not forced to answer the questions posed by the senators.

The settlement was announced months after Mr. Trump and two of his sons and the Trump Organization accused the IRS and Treasury Department of unlawfully allowing a government contractor to leak tax returns to media outlets in 2020.

The Young and the Restless has found its new writing team, TV Insider can confirm.

Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor have been named co-head writers of the CBS daytime drama, replacing departing head writer Josh Griffith.

The search for Griffith’s successors began at the end of June after he made the decision to step down as head writer, having previously relinquished his executive producer role on the 53-year-old soap.

Giddens currently serves as a writer on Beyond the Gates. Prior to joining the newest CBS drama, he wrote for Days of our Lives and its streaming spin-off, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem. A Writers Guild of America Award and Daytime Emmy winner, Giddens is also nominated for two Daytime Emmys this year for Outstanding Writing Team for a Daytime Drama series for his work on both Beyond the Gates and Days.

Before transitioning to television writing, Giddens made his mark in the soap world as the co-founder and editorial director of the website Daytime Confidential. He also co-created the primetime drama Ambitions with Will Packer, which starred Robin Givens and aired on OWN in 2019.

O’Connor began his daytime career as a writers’ associate on One Life to Live. After that soap’s cancellation, he joined General Hospital in 2013, where he served in several key creative roles, including associate head writer, breakdown writer and most recently, co-head writer. Like Giddens, O’Connor is both a Writers Guild of America Award and Daytime Emmy Award winner.

Their appointment marks the first co-head writing team to be hired at The Young and the Restless since Shelly Altman and Jean Passnante shared the role in 2013. Following their departure in 2015, Charles Pratt Jr., Sally Sussman Morina and Mal Young each held the head writer position before Griffith returned to the soap — where he previously worked from 2006-2008 — in 2019.

Griffith remained in the role while the search for his successors was underway. Giddens and O’Connor are set to officially begin next week, with the cast and crew already notified of the change.

According to insiders, the soap, created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell in 1973, is aiming to recapture the classic storytelling style that helped make The Young and the Restless the No. 1-rated daytime drama, a position it has held in the Nielsen ratings since the 1988-1989 season.

Mark Zuckerberg’s media spree touting the positive effects of artificial intelligence did little to cushion the blow of Meta’s second-quarter earnings, which sent its stock tumbling on Wednesday.

In a Wall Street Journal op-ed published on Tuesday, the Meta chief executive expressed his optimism for a world where everyone has access to a super-intelligent machine.

“As a thought experiment, imagine only one person had a super-intelligent lawyer,” Zuckerberg wrote. “He would have an unfair advantage in court. That would lead to a worse society. But now imagine everyone has a super-intelligent lawyer. Justice would be carried out much more fairly and efficiently than it is today.”

But Zuckerberg’s message of AI optimism wasn’t enough to alleviate Wall Street’s initial reaction to Meta’s second-quarter earnings. The company’s stock slid nearly 8% after reporting weaker-than-expected results.

Meta posted $6.18 in earnings per share, missingWall Street expectations of $7.14, according to Bloomberg consensus estimates. Revenue was $60.8bn, beating analyst predictions of $60.23bn.

The company also raised the lower end of its expected expenses and spending for the year. Susan Li, Meta’s chief financial officer, said the company had $2.4bn in “charges related to legal proceedings” in the second quarter, raising total expenses to the range of $165bn to $169bn, up from $162bn to $169bn.

And it expects 2026 capital expenditures to range from $130bn to $145bn, up from $125bn to $145bn. Meta has previously said a big portion of its capex is earmarked for its AI investments.

Zuckerberg’s PR blitz comes as investors and analysts look for the company’s justification of its massive spending on AI infrastructure, a concern that has contributed to the10% drop in the company’s share price year over year.

Big tech companies such as Meta, which have increasingly burned through free cash flow, need to sell consumers and Wall Street on the promise of AI to defend their spending. The stock market’s response to Zuckerberg’s remarks on the company’s earnings call, scheduled for later this evening, could reveal whether his messaging is enough to ease investor concerns.

Meta has struggled to make an AI model to rival OpenAI or Anthropic, but it plans to start a cloud business to sell AI compute, monetizing some of its immense AI investments, Bloomberg reported this month. The report was one of the few things to boost investor confidence this year, spurring a spike in the stock’s long decline.

The day before earnings, Zuckerberg echoed his belief in decentralizing AI and creating an era of “personalized super-intelligence” where everyone has an AI assistant tailored to their needs and beliefs, in interviews with the New York Times and the Financial Times.

Though he did not specify how Meta plans to approach this, based on the company’s history, personalization would likely require consumers to hand over even more of their data. Still, Zuckerberg said it was better than his competitors’ centralized models.

“I think it is literally impossible to have a single benevolent super-intelligence that is simultaneously aligned with everyone at once,” Zuckerberg told the New York Times.

Meta may be “trying to do too much at once”, Mike Proulx, vice-president and research director at advisory firm Forrester Research, said.

“Every one of Meta’s major growth lanes now carries a trust toll,” Proulx said in a statement before listing Meta’s new projects. “AI-generated advertising raises new brand-control concerns, smart glasses create new privacy questions, youth safety remains under intense scrutiny and employee-tracking initiatives spark data-collection backlash.”

Zuckerberg’s narrative speaks to Meta’s need to set itself apart from competitors – many of whom he said are sending messages filled with “doom” about the future of AI.

“I don’t understand why anyone who believes that AI will eliminate most jobs and much of humanity’s relevance would rush to build that future,” Zuckerberg wrote in the WSJ.

Still, Meta’s attempt to create a positive message around its AI systems may fall flat, said eMarketer senior analyst Minda Smiley.

“It’s not surprising that Zuckerberg wants to come out with a more cohesive message around the company’s AI ambitions, especially as Meta tries to carve out its own lane,” Smiley said in a statement.

“But the optimistic, positive tone he’s striking stands in stark contrast to the negative sentiment that’s building toward social media companies over claims that they’ve harmed and addicted kids. This juxtaposition could make it more difficult for Meta to build credibility in an area where it’s already a laggard.”

While Zuckerberg makes an argument for Meta’s open-source approach to AI development, the company is being forced to answer for its previous practices developing its products and the effects they have had on users.

Meta is facing about 3,000 lawsuits alleging that it deliberately creates addictive products leading to the harm of children. The suits have been brought by families, school districts and states’ attorneys general. Forty-two states have sued Meta in state courts, with Tennessee’s case currently at trial. A separate federal lawsuit brought by 29 attorneys general goes to trial in California next month.

“The shifting regulatory environment is also a major Meta risk,” said Proulx. “Policymakers are more focused on youth wellbeing, addiction and platform safety … Youth restrictions will affect who Meta can reach. That’s a big problem for a company that depends on ad revenue.”

The lawsuits not only call Meta’s corporate practices into question; they also come at a financial cost. The company has already suffered damaging losses, with two separate juries finding Meta liable for harming children and awarding plaintiffs millions in damages. Lawyers for the families, schools and lawmakers say they will not stop seeking high-cost damages until Meta changes the design of its products.

Viewers considering both YouTube Premium and Peacock Premium will soon be able to get them together under one offering, thanks to a new partnership between YouTube and NBCUniversal.

The companies announced July 27 that Peacock Premium and YouTube Premium will be bundled beginning in early 2027, giving subscribers access to Peacock content directly through the YouTube app, including shows such as "Love Island USA" and "The Office," movies, and live sports such as the NFL, NBA and Olympics.

Peacock Premium currently costs $10.99 a month, while YouTube Premium costs $15.99 monthly. When USA TODAY contacted the companies on July 28, YouTube said the partnership will give customers access to Peacock Premium content within the YouTube Premium subscription for $15.99.

Here's what else to know about the deal.

The company also announced an extension of its agreement with YouTube TV, ensuring continued access to NBCUniversal's entertainment, sports and news programming.

Additional Peacock integration is already underway. Peacock Premium Plus has been available through YouTube Primetime Channels since June, and NBCUniversal said Peacock Premium will become available as a standalone add-on through Primetime Channels later this summer.

YouTube Chief Business Officer Mary Ellen Coe said in the joint press release the partnership expands access to NBCUniversal programming while helping grow YouTube's subscription business.

The PGA Tour is starting to fill in the Championship Series portion of its 2028 schedule with a pair of announcements this week, one of them a surprise.

Sompo, a multinational insurance holding and financial group that is part of Japan-based Sompo Holdings, will be the title sponsor of one of the premier events on the 2028 schedule that will have $20 million purses and the top tier of players.

Sompo will get started next year at a familiar place — Silverado Resort in Napa, California, where Scottie Scheffler won the 19th and final edition of a fall event in 2025. But it won't be staying there when the tour shifts to its “Championship” and “Challenger” tracks in 2028.

The 2027 tournament will be July 29 to Aug. 1 — two weeks after the British Open — and televised by CBS on the weekend. Still to be determined is the name of the tournament and, of greater interest, the new market for 2028 and beyond. That will be announced later.

The PGA Tour is eager to hit larger markets where it doesn't have a regular presence, such as Denver, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco and New York.

James Shea, the CEO of Bermuda-based Sompo Property & Casualty, said the partnership is a “major opportunity for Sompo to further expand our global brand awareness and showcase the strength of our business to customers, partners and communities around the world.”

On Monday, the tour announced the Travelers Championship outside Hartford, Connecticut, would also be part of the Championship Series. That was expected. The Travelers has been one of the highest performing tournaments during the FedEx Cup era that began in 2007 and has offered $20 million prize funds since 2023.

“This has been an extremely successful tournament by every metric,” PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp said last month at the Travelers Championship, where he introduced the concept of the Championship and Challenger series. "I think they do a lot of things that we’re looking for in a Championship Series event.”

The chase is on to catch Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods went to the top of the PGA Tour career money list when he was runner-up at Torrey Pines on Feb. 13, 2000, and he has stayed there ever since. His last check for finishing last at the 2024 Masters ($44,400) pushed his career earnings to $120,999,166.

Being passed is inevitable and now is in clear view. It's just a matter of who tops him first.

Rory McIlroy, who lost in the quarterfinals of the 2009 Match Play in his PGA Tour debut, is second on the list at $116,446,772. Scottie Scheffler, who cashed his first PGA Tour check in 2018, moved to $116,364,411 with his runner-up finish in the 3M Open.

That leaves both of them just over $4 million away from Woods coming into the lucrative FedEx Cup postseason — $20 million purses at two playoff events, and the Tour Championship with its $40 million bonus pool that now counts as official money.

The Army captain is expanding his horizons

Former U.S. Army captain Marcus Plunkett reached one goal when he qualified for his first major at the British Open and made the cut. And then his journey just got started.

Plunkett raced back from Royal Birkdale to play in U.S. qualifying tournament for the PGA Tour of Australasia. First, he had to stop at a sporting goods store to buy a push cart for the four-round event. He tied for second at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club near Valdosta, Georgia, to earn his card for the 2026-27 season.

“I was definitely a little delirious round one, but as the week’s gone on, started to feel a little bit back to normal,” Plunkett said.

He said he has never been to Australia, but all his friends from Down Under have told him the coffee is the best, “so I’ve got to see if they’re pulling my leg or not about that.”

Plunkett, who spent five years in the Army after graduating from West Point, already has had a Korn Ferry Tour card and currently plays the Asian Tour.

”I have Asian Tour status so I’m trying to figure out the balance of the two moving forward,” he said. “But I’m really excited to get out to Australia and get on the links out there.”

Scheffler's majors mirror his season

Scottie Scheffler had the lowest combined score to par in the majors this year, finishing at 21-under par, but without a major trophy for the first time since 2023.

The world's No. 1 player was runner-up at the Masters, tied for fourth in the U.S. Open and British Open and tied for 14th in the PGA Championship. What does it all mean? That he's been playing pretty good golf, much like the rest of a 2026 season that features five runner-up finishes but only one win.

“One of the things that I’ve always kind of prided myself on is the consistency. That’s something that shows that I’m playing some pretty good golf,” Scheffler said last week before the 3M Open. "It just hasn’t been quite good enough to win some tournaments. I still feel like my game’s in a good spot and I’ve played some nice golf.

“I haven’t played any great golf yet, but I’ve played some nice golf over the course of the season.”

The not-so-magic number

Scott Stevens on the PGA Tour Americas in the opening round and Michael Kim on the PGA Tour in the second round of the 3M Open are the latest to join the growing list of 59 or lower on golf circuits around the world.

Most surprising is that it took until July 23 for the first person of 2026 to post a sub-60 round.

Golf's “magic number” has lost a little bit of magic during the inevitable evolution of scoring. Al Geiberger was the original Mr. 59 in the 1977 Memphis Classic. Since then, there have been 69 sub-60s rounds on 21 recognized tours around the world.

There were eight sub-60 rounds in 2025, and nine sub-60 rounds in 2024.

Divots

The last six winners of the Women’s British Open have come from six countries — Japan, New Zealand, the United States, South Africa, Sweden and Germany. ... Michael Roman, the former chairman and CEO of 3M, has been elected to the PGA Tour policy board filling an open seat for independent directors. ... Jackson Koivun became the fourth PGA Tour winner this year to play bogey-free on the weekend, joining Matt Fitzpatrick (Valspar), Ricky Castillo (Puerto Rico) and Nico Echavarria (Cognizant Classic). ... The R&A has put together double major winners Nelly Korda and Haeran Ryu for the opening two rounds of the Women's British Open. They will be joined by Lydia Ko.

Stat of the week

The last six players to shoot 59 on the PGA Tour did not win the tournament.

Final word

“I don't really see it as a rivalry at the minute because, no offense, Nelly has got however many majors and I've got none.” — Charley Hull on the potential of a rivalry with Nelly Korda.

No one does a press tour quite like Zendaya. In one of her busiest years, with back-to-back releases, the star has shown the world how she makes the red carpet her runway.

With the styling help of her longtime friend and image architect Law Roach, Zendaya kicked off her year with her movie "The Drama," creating a string of edgy "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue" looks to match its (disastrous) wedding theme. But it's been her press tours for "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" where she has really shined, taking the concept of method dressing to the next level.

You'd think Zendaya fatigue might have set in, but each look is new, on theme and often unexpected. And while it can seem, from a simplistic view, like an actress playing dress-up, what you're really witnessing is a connoisseur of fashion exploring the medium as a true art form. It's intentional storytelling and a combination of craft and culture uniquely derived from Zendaya's and Roach's unparalleled creative connection.

"Part of doing the press stuff and trying to make the clothes intentional is not just trying to pay homage but giving little trails of ideas and thoughts," Zendaya said in a recent interview with De Estreno. "And maybe it's true! Maybe it's confusing! That's the fun of it!"

As we await whatever the dynamic duo has in store for "Dune: Part Three" this fall, we're revisiting all the looks that captivated us, with a breakdown of reasons why Zendaya's 2026 summer press tour will stand the test of time.

Custom and fresh-off-the-runway looks

If there is anyone who has mastered the art of the runway pull, it's Zendaya and Roach. To kick off "The Odyssey" press tour at the film's London photo call on Sunday, July 5, the actress donned a custom Jacquemus ivory column dress with an attached head scarf inspired by the silhouettes from the designer's spring/summer 2027 collection. Channeling the spirit of ancient Greece, the star accessorized the look with something old: a pair of 1st Millennium gold ancient disks, owned byBarron London, mounted into earrings with 18-carat gold and diamonds by designer Glenn Spiro.

The next day, for "The Odyssey" London premiere, Zendaya wore a structural Schiaparelli gown plucked straight from Daniel Roseberry’s fall/winter 2026 collection. The actress literally lit up the red carpet in the dress, which featured a sculpted, glazed, porcelain-effect white breastplate with a signature Schiaparelli lace-up back and an LED-illuminated skirt made of cascading beaded fringe in a white and silver ombré. She topped off her Greek sculpture-inspired look with an 88-carat Chopard collar necklace and an ethereal halo braid hairstyle.

The look redefined "new": Not only did was Zendaya the first to wear one of the illuminated Schiaparelli sheaths on the red carpet, she did so just hours after the look went down the runway at Paris Couture Week. In an interview backstage at the Schiaparelli show, Roach explained that he was on a mission to pick up the dress and bring it to London in time for Zendaya to wear it to the premiere that same evening. (All with the help of a private jet, of course).

Inspired pulls from the archives

Zendaya's press tours balance those fresh looks with a deep dive into the archives to revive vintage pieces, utilizing. Roach's deep knowledge of historical fashion.

One example is her Audrey Hepburn-esque dress for "The Odyssey" Paris photo call, designed by Alexander McQueen for Givenchy's haute couture spring/summer 1997 collection, featuring a high neck with exaggerated pagoda sleeves and padded shoulders.

Zendaya and Roach were also able to source the ornate gold face mask designed by Philip Treacy that was originally worn with the dress on the runway. The actress turned heads when she arrived, perfectly mirroring the Eiffel Tower behind her.

Later, for "Odyssey" press in New York, Zendaya sported a white, plunge-neck Alberta Ferretti mini dress from the spring/summer 2008 collection, featuring airy pleats and embellished with silver fringe down the front. She accessorized the look with knee-high Webster caged sandals for a full gladiator-inspired look.

For "Spider Man," in which Zendaya stars with husband Tom Holland, she and Roach successfully sourced multiple cobweb-clad dresses. The actress channeled her inner "Kiss of the Spider Woman" in everything from a form-fitting, chiffon-webbed gown from Versace's spring/summer 2016 collection to a black, cap-sleeved 1940s cocktail dress embellished with a glittering silver spider web — a true vintage treasure.

But two standout archival looks had the internet and fans everywhere abuzz. For the film's Rome premiere photo call on June 23, Zendaya was on-theme in a beaded spider web-embellished gown from Armani's spring/summer 1990 collection, accessorized with dangling Tiffany & Co. diamonds. A few days later, Holland and Zendaya attended the film's London photo call in complementary dark looks. Zendaya wowed in a celestial-patterned navy-and-black slip-style dress from John Galliano's spring/summer 1997 collection, which featured a dazzling, beaded spider web design, dripping embellishments that sprawled across the star's back.

In June, the star turned heads when she walked the carpet of a Paris photo call in an oversized, black Spider-Man graphic tee sans pants. Roach later revealed on Instagram that the men's 2XL tee (styled like a boxy mini dress) was purchased on eBay for a mere $34.99, showing the world the fashion doesn't always have to be expensive. Adding her favorite white Louboutin heels, Zendaya created a high-low look that will go down in history.

The two-dress 'rule'

In the words of Roach, "there's always two dresses." At the "Odyssey" premiere in London, the star swapped her illuminated Schiaparelli creation for a draped Valentino gown inspired by the Garden of Eden, featuring a leafy bustier and straps.

A week later, ahead of the New York premiere, the star was snapped leaving her hotel in a flowing, nude gown from Pamela Rolland, featuring a sweetheart neckline and draped bodice with breezy chiffon layers. But for the red carpet, she turned to provocative Canadian brand Matières Fécales' heavenly “Ange” dress, which brought both the drama and the romance.

The ruched, feather-trimmed gown featured a plunge, strapless sweetheart neckline with a thigh-high slit and a set of feathered wings seamlessly blending with the dress's billowing train. Last spring, after Roach saw it close the brand's debut fall 2025 show, he asked Matières Fécales’ designers Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran to hold the dress for Zendaya to debut on the red carpet nearly two years later.

The actress topped off the overall look with a whimsical undone braid and a barely-there Prada Beauty makeup look by Ernesto Casillas that revived the "no mascara" conversation online.

The entire look was a curated goddess moment, from the drop diamond Chopard earrings down to the heeless shoes, which were a design collaboration from Matières Fécales and Christian Louboutin, featuring a traditional pointed-toe front with a sculptural wedge back creating the illusion of an invisible heel.

Stories told through color

Whites and neutrals reigned supreme in the star's Odyssey press tour wardrobe. The star successfully channelled her inner Greek goddess in a series of whimsical looks that were worthy of Athena (not to mention a nod to the star's bridal era, as she and Holland only recently confirmed they were married). It wasn't just the Scharparelli, Jacquemus and the Matières Fécales dresses but also a romantic lace Louis Vuitton ensemble in Paris. At the end of the tour, Zendaya added splashes of gold to the mix, shining in looks like a 2013 Zuhair Murad skirt suit.

For "Spider-Man," the actress kept to a black, red and/or blue color scheme, mirroring the famous superhero's webbed costume while also coordinating with Holland.

When she wasn't sporting spider web motifs, she evoked a vampy aesthetic in dark looks, like her Morticia Addams-inspired Ashi Studio black gown equipped with black lace applique and floor-length-fringe sleeves. And who can forget her black leather Louis Vuitton outfit, which featured a cropped vest top with a matching, form-fitting maxi skirt.

For a photo call in Berlin, the star sported a vintage varsity in a red jersey shirt tucked into a plaid pencil skirt from Coach's fall/winter 2026 ready-to-wear collection. A day later in Rome, Zendaya sparkled in a Versace red-and-blue, color-block chainmail top and skirt set from the brand's fall/winter 1997 collection.

But the star saved her best look for last. At the Los Angeles premiere on Monday, July 27, Zendaya once again turned to Ashi Studio for a dramatic Black Widow-inspired look.

The star wowed in a black satin gown featuring a structural plunge corset with a ruched asymmetrical skirt and flowing train. The star accented the couture look with art deco Boucheron earrings and custom Louboutin pumps embellished with a crystal spider on the toe and another on the back of the heel. Zendaya elevated her vampy ensemble with a dark Prada Beauty smokey eye look and a slicked-back ponytail featuring spider-y bangs that framed her face.

Zendaya and Roach's fashions are the stuff of legends. And just like "The Odyssey," her most recent press tours will be forever epic.

Ana Navarro is living her best life on summer vacation. With The View currently on a brief hiatus before returning for its 30th season, Navarro has some downtime, and she’s spending it with her besties. Throughout her trip, Navarro has been sharing updates on social media.

The View aired its final Season 29 episode on July 24, and Navarro took to Instagram afterwards to share, “That’s a wrap on @theviewabc Season 29. 12 hours later, I’m in a place that makes me happy with people who make me happy.”

She didn’t reveal exactly where she was vacationing, but she followed up that post with another, revealing the purpose behind the trip. “We’ve been friends for 46 years. When we all turned 50, @treehouseacupuncturemiami, @anamariag.u and I made it a goal to spend more time together, traveling and making memories,” Navarro explained. “And that’s just what we’re doing. Disconnecting from the crazy, toxic news cycle and connecting with the people and beauty around us. Dancing. Laughing. Swimming. Or just being still and taking in the quiet of the mornings. Finding balance and joy.”

On July 27, she posted more images and videos from the ladies’ day out at sea. In the shots, Navarro wore a strapless white swimsuit. She posed alongside her friends and included a video of herself diving in the water, putting her full look on display.

The View is expected to return at some point in September, with Navarro returning to the panel alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. Navarro has been a full-time cohost of the show since 2022.
