The Grammy Awards will be honoring one of the iconic figures of the music industry, Ozzy Osbourne.

Following his passing in July 2025, the Recording Academy recognizes the influence of the former frontman and co-founder of Black Sabbath, especially in heavy metal.

Often dubbed the "Prince of Darkness," his legacy will be celebrated with a special tribute from notable musicians and artists, including Post Malone.

In an Instagram update, the Grammy Awards announced the participation of the singer, rapper and songwriter.

The award-winning artist will be joined by an "all-star band" which includes Guns N' Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and producer Andrew Watt.

The performance is sure to be a standout and one of the night's most emotional moments.

"Watch @postmalone pay tribute to the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. Joined by an all-star band featuring @thisiswatt, @chadsmithofficial, duffmckagan, and @slash," the post reads.

The announcement sparked a wave of excitement from fans, who flooded social media with anticipation for the upcoming performance.

A commenter predicted, saying, "It will be epic."

"OH HELL YEAH AUSTIN," a commenter said.

"Yes!! Posty will surely deliver a performance. Can't wait!" a fan echoed.

On the other hand, some fans were hoping to see a special performance from Yungblud, given the close mentor-mentee bond the duo shared.

"Where TF is Yungblud?? Wow, you really missed here. I love Post, but COME ON REALLY??" one wrote.

"And where tf is yungblud??? he should've been a part of this tribute, considering he is nominated for covering one of Ozzy's songs," another pointed out.

Besides Post Malone's performance with a lineup of rock legends, the Grammys' "In Memoriam" segment will also feature tributes by country icon Reba McEntire and hip-hop soul legend Lauryn Hill as they pay tribute to Roberta Flack, D'Angelo and other musical icons who passed away in 2025.

Besides the tribute segment, viewers will also get to see performances from Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Clipse and Pharrell Williams, as well as performances from this year's best new artist nominees like Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, K-pop group Katseye, Addison Rae, Sombr, Lola Young, The Marias and British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean.

The 2026 Grammys will be hosted by Trevor Noah for six consecutive years, making this his last appearance as host of the ceremony.

The ceremony will air live on Sunday at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena, televised on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. PT.
