Nicki Minaj briefly spoke about her appreciation for President Donald Trump at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, Jan. 28

The rapper praised Trump's plan to create investment accounts for U.S.-born babies and said the backlash she's received for openly supporting him only "motivates" her

"I am probably the president's No. 1 fan, and that's not going to change," Minaj told the crowd

Nicki Minaj is backing another major MAGA project.

The rapper spoke at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, Jan. 28, where she praised President Donald Trump's rollout of investment accounts for U.S.-born babies.

According to CNBC, Minaj plans to contribute between $150,000 and $300,000 to the Trump accounts.

"I am probably the president's No. 1 fan, and that's not going to change," Minaj, 43, told the crowd after the president summoned her and businessman Kevin O'Leary to the stage. "The hate — or what people have to say — it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. And it's going to motivate all of us to support him more."

"We're not going to let them get away with bullying him," she added. "He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen?"

Minaj promoted her appearance at the Treasury Department's summit and her plan to pledge money to the project in an X post on Jan. 24, calling the accounts, "The true meaning of paying it forward.""Early financial literacy & financial support for our children will give them a major head start in life," she wrote. "In some cases, they will end up teaching their very own parents how to invest & what to invest in. This makes me very happy."

Trump Accounts were introduced as part of Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill Act." The plans is for them to be available to every U.S. citizen born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, according to the White House, which said that each account "will launch with a one-time $1,000 government seed contribution."

Contributions to the accounts max out at $5,000 per year, with funds from the accounts "invested in a broad stock-market index."

The account recipients will not have ownership of the funds until they turn 18, at which point the funds can be withdrawn with standard IRA rules; the White House claimed that "if fully funded and left untouched, could grow to as much as $1.9 million by age 28."

Funds for the accounts came from Trump-friendly donors like Minaj, as well as Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell and his wife, Susan Dell, who pledged to donate over $6 billion to the Trump Accounts in December 2025.

At the time, Trump said their donation was "truly one of the most generous acts in the history of our country."

He added that he knew multiple companies and friends who would contribute to the accounts, as well, and noted, "I'll be doing it, too."

Wednesday's appearance in D.C. isn't the first time Minaj has shown support for the MAGA movement in recent months.

She previously spoke at the United Nations about religious violence overseas as a guest of the Trump administration in November.

Minaj also praised Trump and his administration when she took the stage with Erika Kirk to close out Turning Point USA's annual AmericaFest event on Dec. 21.

"I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president," she told Kirk. "I don't know if he even knows this, but he's given so many people hope."
