Meghan McCain Disagrees with View Co-Hosts on Guns: Taking Them Away Will Cause 'a Lot of Violence,' She Argues

Meghan McCain sharply disagreed with a few of her The View co-hosts on Tuesday when discussing gun legal guidelines within the wake of final weekend’s West Texas mass shooting.

After fellow panelists Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin both agreed that stricter measures must be put into place, McCain, 34, referred to as out Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke for proposing a compulsory buyback of assault weapons.

“How do you assume you’re going to return to any person’s house, and what are you going to pay?” McCain requested. “It doesn’t appear to be that’s rational conversation.”

Behar, 76, interrupted McCain to say individuals “lived with out them for a few years through the ban,” referring to a federal prohibition on some semiautomatic weapons which expired in 2004.

“I’m not dwelling without weapons, it’s just that straightforward,” McCain stated.

Hostin, 50, prompt proscribing solely weapons such as the assault weapons which are commonly used in mass shootings and “killing our youngsters.”

But McCain shot again, “I really like being virtue-signaled at 20 minutes into the show,” suggesting the other ladies have been being somewhat exaggerated in their beliefs.

Newtown Action Alliance, a gaggle shaped after the Sandy Hook faculty capturing in 2012, tweeted at her, “Mother and father from Sandy Hook & too many other communities live without their youngsters & family members because some gun house owners such as you don’t need to stay without your AR-15.”

One other consumer tweeted: “I don’t care she is a Republican it was her blatant disrespect to those who have been affected by gun violence. For her to have stated what she stated with such disdain! Awful @MeghanMcCaim your father wouldn't be proud of you! @TheView.”

On Tuesday afternoon, McCain tweeted a GIF of Clint Eastwood winking with the caption “Strolling again into season 23 @TheView defending conservative beliefs and our #2A constitutional rights like….”
