'Tis the season for March Madness. A popular social media account assembled intersections across the Greater Los Angeles area into a bracket-style tournament, all for the glory of being named the worst in the region.
Social media account Americana at Brand Memes invited people to vote on Instagram in the "One Bad Intersection After Another" tournament. The account is known for its memes about Southern California, and last year, held a similar March Madness-style competition to find the city's worst parking lot. Spoiler alert: That title went to parking in Koreatown, followed by the Hollywood Bowl.
Come April, a champion will emerge, according to the account. Voting began on March 1.

Contenders include a six-way stop in Beverly Hills and intersections where several streets meet, including along Sunset Boulevard. But what these streets seemingly all have in common is causing commuters emotional turmoil, if evident by the comments on Instagram.
Los Angeles and Southern California have long been defined by, among other things, the traffic. The Los Angeles Times recently named some of the worst intersections in Los Angeles based on traffic volumes and accident data. Intersections that made the list included the Highland Avenue and Sunset Boulevard intersection in Hollywood, the Sepulveda Boulevard and Lincoln Boulevard intersection by Los Angeles International Airport, and the Pacific Coast Highway, Chautauqua Boulevard and West Channel Road intersection.
