She has starred in and written Hallmark movies since 2012, and her upcoming film Absolutely Devoted to You premieres Aug. 8

The actress joined her fellow Hallmark Channel actors to celebrate the network’s 25th birthday on Aug. 4

When the Hallmark crew swings by Vancouver for filming, they can count on Kimberley Sustad to open her home.

The actress, 39, had a red carpet conversation with PEOPLE on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Hallmark Channel’s 25th Birthday Celebration at The 92nd Street Y in New York. She resides in Vancouver with her twin daughters, and when she’s not filming for the network, she shared that her Hallmark family is always welcome.

“I love having them over to my house in real life and forcing them to jump on the trampoline with my children,” Sustad tells PEOPLE. “Anytime they’re filming in Vancouver, which is where I live, I make them come over, and we all hang out.”

Sustad’s most recent project with the network, Absolutely Devoted to You, sees her playing a TV producer determined to reunite an iconic ‘90s boy band while unwillingly falling for the group’s leading man, played by Jesse Metcalfe. The film makes its Hallmark premiere on Saturday, Aug. 8.

The star attended the network’s anniversary celebration alongside previous costars such as Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker and Benjamin Ayres. Longtime network staples including Andie MacDowell, Lacey Chabert, Marilu Henner and Alison Sweeney also attended.

Outside of filming, Sustad has spent quality time with her costars while promoting her projects, from the last two years of Christmas Con to joining the network’s cast and crew on a 10-city bus tour earlier this summer as part of the Hallmark Stars Live Tour.

“It was like camp with our friends,” Sustad said of the tour during the panel. “For some reason it felt so safe. It was such a wonderful experience.”

Their friendships, however, aren’t all work. Last December, Sustad shared photos on Instagram of her, Hynes, Walker and Paul Campbell exploring the New York City subway system and enjoying pizza following promotions for their film Three Wisest Men.

The actress made her debut with Hallmark in A Bride for Christmas, a holiday romance that premiered in the winter of 2012. In the years since, she has continued to act and began writing for the network; she took on her first Hallmark starring role in 2014’s The Nine Lives of Christmas and led Christmas By Starlight in 2020, which she also co-wrote. She served as co-writer for Three Wise Men and a Baby for Hallmark in 2022, a success that spawned a trilogy concluding with Three Wisest Men in 2025.

Time and time again, we watched Clark Kent turn into Superman. And now, we've watched him soar into immortality.

Carolina Panthers legend Luke Kuechly was officially enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday afternoon. The former linebacker is one of five members of the 2026 class—an especially esteemed group that also features former quarterback Drew Brees, former running back Roger Craig, former wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and former kicker Adam Vinatieri.

The Cincinnati, Ohio native entered the NFL as a highly-decorated standout out of Boston College. Over his three-year collegiate career, Kuechly was a two-time All-American, a three-time All-ACC member and a two-time NCAA tackles leader as well as the 2011 winner of the Bronko Nagurski Award, the Lombardi Award, the Lott Trophy, the Butkus Award and the Jack Lambert Trophy.

He'd go on to become the ninth overall selection of the 2012 NFL Draft, and made an immediate impact in Carolina as the 2012 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year. Kuechly then captured 2013 AP Defensive Player of the Year honors, becoming only the second player in league history—with Lawrence Taylor being the first—to win both awards in their first two seasons.

As the heart and soul of the Panthers defense, along with fellow linebacker Thomas Davis, Kuechly helped lead the organization to three straight NFC South titles from 2013 to 2015. That run was punctuated by the franchise's second-ever claim to the NFC championship, and ended in a tough loss to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.

With concussion concerns piling up, Kuechly—at just 28 years old—shockingly announced his retirement from the game in January of 2020. Although abbreviated, his eight-year NFL career yielded five first-team All-Pro nods, two second-team All-Pro nods and seven Pro Bowl selections.

Kuechly is the second-youngest inductee in the Hall's history. He joins former running backs Walter Payton and Gale Sayers and former wide receiver Calvin Johnson as the only players inducted at 35 years old or younger.

In addition, Kuechly is the first Hall of Famer who played exclusively for the Panthers—and that, as sure as one of his 1,092 tackles, deserves a good old fashioned "Luuuuuuuuke."

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is "unlikely" to meet his new grandchild, a royal author has claimed.

Princess Eugenie gave birth to her third child earlier this week, with Buckingham Palace confirming: "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6.20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.

"The baby was born weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces. Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news."

While it has been reported that the grandmother, Sarah Ferguson, has travelled to Portugal to support her daughter post-birth, it seems Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has little chance of seeing his grandchild.

Royal author Andrew Lownie, who wrote Entitled: The Rise And Fall Of The House Of York, told the Daily Mail: "It is unlikely Andrew will see his new grandchild except through FaceTime."

Despite reported pressure from their husbands – whose families are said to be "appalled by the activities of the former Duke and Duchess of York" – Mr Lownie maintains that both princesses remain torn by a devotion to their mother and father.

"The daughters are walking a tightrope torn between residual loyalty to their parents and pressure from their husbands," he said.

Speculation about the state of Beatrice and Edoardo's marriage has also intensified in recent months, with sources suggesting the Epstein revelations have driven a wedge between the couple.

One source told the newspaper: "Things haven't been great for a while between them, but Beatrice has been determined to soldier on and forge a path through."

"She wants to stay together, but he seems more and more distracted by work and travel. Just when she needs him most, he's been pulling away."

Edoardo himself responded publicly to the claims during a rare question-and-answer meeting, where he defiantly stated his "biggest luxury" was his family, adding that relaxation comes down to "time with family and friends."

As for Beatrice, Eugenie and Ms Ferguson, Mr Lownie maintains that the close "tripod" relationship that was once proudly described has not entirely collapsed.

"There has been plenty of scandal over the years and the daughters have not cut themselves loose largely because they are cut from the same cloth and very much under the thumb of their mother," he observed.

Relations with their father, however, grow more strained with each fresh disclosure.

The rift in the York family deepened following the release of millions of documents linked to billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein, who took his own life in prison while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has been living in exile on the King's Sandringham Estate, after being booted out of Royal Lodge, his home of more than 20 years.

He has consistently denied any wrongdoing in regard to Epstein.

Ms Ferguson has also hidden from the spotlight following fresh revelations linking her to the convicted paedophile in the files released by the United States Department of Justice.

Speaking to the Evening Standard on March 7, 2011, the former Duchess of York expressed deep regret over her association with Epstein.

"I abhor paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children and know that this was a gigantic error of judgment on my behalf," she said, after it emerged she had accepted roughly £15,000 from him.

Former Miss North Carolina USA Brittany Boltinhouse is breaking her silence about losing her title weeks after winning the state pageant.

A Blaize Productions, which holds the state license for the Miss North Carolina USA pageant, said in an Aug. 5 statement the decision to take back Boltinhouse's title "followed a thorough review of recently surfaced information" that did not uphold the organization's standards and values.

In a video interview with Carolina Journal posted Aug. 7, Boltinhouse said she believes her political and religious beliefs played a role in the removal of her winning title, while clarifying she couldn't get into specifics because of a confidentiality clause she'd signed. She added that she is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a known Mormon.

"I'm not allowed to speak about things, but as of today, I believe and think I was stripped from my title because of my political stance and my belief system as a conservative Christian woman," she told the outlet.

"I will say every teenager has made a mistake. Every person here has made a mistake, but I'm not really here to talk about that. I'm here to talk about the woman I am today," she said. "Things may happen decades ago, but I am here to talk about the hard-working woman, the woman who was standing there as Miss North Carolina USA. I won fair and square."

A representative for A Blaize Productions told USA TODAY that its decision "was not based on Brittany Boltinhouse’s political views, religious beliefs, or protected personal viewpoints. Our organization includes people from various backgrounds, political views, personal beliefs and values. We welcome and celebrate that."

"The decision followed a careful review of the totality of information that came to our attention, including previously undisclosed conduct and public content spanning multiple years that was inconsistent with the standards and responsibilities expected of a Miss North Carolina USA titleholder under the agreements governing the position," the rep added.

"We also have an obligation to uphold the integrity of our organization, our titleholders, our sponsors, and the young women who look to these titles as examples of leadership," the statement continued. "Based on the totality of the circumstances, we concluded that Brittany could no longer serve in that representative role."

The rep also said that A Blaize Productions does not condone online harassment, bullying or personal attacks against Boltinhouse or her family.

USA TODAY has also reached out to the Miss North Carolina USA pageant for comment.

'It went from a dream to a nightmare really fast'

The entrepreneur said the Miss North Carolina USA competition was her first-ever pageant and an experience she thoroughly enjoyed before everything that occurred afterward, adding, "It went from a dream to a nightmare really fast."

"My title was ripped from me because of my beliefs," she said. "I believe that I've been judged and interpreted with this narrative that is just not true. And that's why I'm here to clear my story and fight for my reputation from the fruits of my work, because they have a perspective of me, and I understand to certain extents, but at the same time, I don't."

She continued: "I won't be judged for my past, and I won't be judged at all because I am the woman I am today."

Despite the distress she experienced, Boltinhouse said she is grateful that the events that occurred happened to her instead of a vulnerable young girl. She explained that her faith, strength, and confidence in her own belief system as a "god-fearing woman" have allowed her to handle the scrutiny.

Boltinhouse said she hopes to serve as an example for others to stand "for what you believe no matter what, no matter where, no matter what you do."

"Even if you're not conservative … you have the right to speak the way you feel no matter what platform, no matter what belief system you have. We live in a country that we have that ability, and I think that's beautiful, and I utilize it every single day, and you have the right to," she concluded.

What did the Miss North Carolina USA pageant say?

Following Boltinhouse's title being removed, Miss North Carolina USA and Miss USA organizers released a statement about the specifics of the decision.

Thom Brodeur, CEO of Miss USA, confirmed Boltinhouse's exit and denounced hate speech in a statement.

"What was brought to us was not a single moment. It reflected conduct over an extended period of time. That is why this outcome was reached, and I stand behind it without qualification," Brodeur said.

He also added in his statement that the "Miss USA organization does not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia, nor language that strips any person of their dignity – whoever they are. That is not a policy written for a press release. It is the floor of what it means to represent this brand."

Boltinhouse was crowned Miss North Carolina USA on June 28. Myla Hadley, the first runner-up, will now assume the title and move forward at the Miss USA pageant later this month, organizers confirmed.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez may be preparing to celebrate their long-awaited wedding at one of Madeira's most luxurious hotels, where guests can find rooftop infinity pools, sprawling event spaces and around-the-clock personalized service.

Reports have linked the couple to an August 8th ceremony at Funchal Cathedral followed by a reception at the five-star Savoy Palace. Guests at the hotel were reportedly told that two floors and several bar areas would be unavailable on Friday and Saturday because of a private event.

Neither Ronaldo nor Rodríguez has publicly confirmed the date, cathedral or reception venue.

Ronaldo, 41, and Rodríguez, 32, became engaged in August 2025 after nearly a decade together. Ronaldo later said they intended to marry after the 2026 World Cup, which ended for Portugal with a Round of 16 loss to Spain in July.

Reports Point to Funchal Cathedral and Savoy Palace

The latest reports place the ceremony at Funchal Cathedral in Ronaldo's native Madeira, followed by a reception approximately five minutes away by car at Savoy Palace. The Sun reported on August 7th that the cathedral had been reserved for a large wedding and that Ronaldo and Rodríguez were believed to have booked Savoy Palace for the reception.

The Portugal News separately reported that rumors intensified after reservations were noted at both the church and a nearby luxury hotel. Guests at Savoy Palace were reportedly informed that two floors and several bar areas would be unavailable around the private event.

Its official event material lists a 928-square-meter Grand Ballroom with capacity for 900 people. The space has its own entrance, direct terrace access and can be divided into three sections. The hotel's Galáxia rooftop event spaces can accommodate up to 600 people while overlooking Funchal and the Atlantic.

The Reserve Comes With a 24-Hour Personal Assistant

Ronaldo and his family have previously been linked to The Reserve, the ultra-luxury hotel-within-a-hotel occupying the upper floors of the Savoy complex. The Daily Mail reported that stays there can begin at approximately £1,100 per night and that the family is believed to favor the secluded section when visiting Madeira.

The Reserve's standout service is its GEPA, or Guest Experience Personal Assistant, available 24 hours a day. Rather than a conventional concierge available only when requested, the service can extend to arranging activities and restaurant reservations, helping guests unpack and handling other details throughout a stay.

Certain accommodations also include private pools. The two-bedroom pool suite, for example, has its own ocean-facing pool and two terraces. The Reserve's Jacarandá Club gives its guests access to another rooftop setting, including infinity and jet pools overlooking the Atlantic.

Savoy Palace Has Rooftop Views and a 3,100-Square-Meter Spa

The luxury extends beyond the private accommodations. Savoy Palace's Galáxia spaces sit at the top of the hotel, offering panoramic views over Funchal and the ocean alongside rooftop dining and drinks.

Another major feature is Laurea Spa. The wellness complex covers 3,100 square meters and is described as Portugal's largest hotel spa. Its facilities include a heated indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, ice fountain, halotherapy room and multiple treatment rooms.

Georgina Confirmed Their Engagement With a Giant Diamond

Rodríguez publicly confirmed the engagement on August 11th, 2025, by sharing a photograph of her hand resting over Ronaldo's with an enormous diamond ring on her finger. “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives,” she wrote in Spanish.

Jewelry experts subsequently produced dramatically different estimates for the ring's size and value, with valuations reaching several million dollars. Ronaldo later told Piers Morgan that the monetary value was not what mattered most during the proposal. He recalled Rodríguez questioning whether he genuinely meant what he was asking.

“She didn't care about the ring,” Ronaldo said. “She asked me if I was speaking the truth.” He said their daughters unexpectedly entered the room during the late-night moment and encouraged him to ask Rodríguez properly.

Ronaldo Said the Wedding Would Come After the World Cup

Ronaldo publicly established a broad timetable for the wedding during his November 2025 interview with Morgan. He said the couple planned to marry after the 2026 World Cup and joked that he hoped to arrive carrying the trophy. That possibility ended when Spain defeated Portugal 1-0 in the Round of 16 on July 6th.

Ronaldo also explained why he had decided the time was right to marry Rodríguez after their years together. “I'm going to marry her because I believe it's the right time,” he said. “Not just because she's the mother of my children, but because she's the person I love most.”

The couple met in Madrid in 2016 while Rodríguez was working at a Gucci store and have since raised a family while Ronaldo's career took them through Spain, Italy, England and Saudi Arabia.

Right now, the Italian model is enjoying a vacation on the Spanish island of Ibiza with her boyfriend of three years, Leonardo DiCaprio, and as she was seen running errands around the Mediterranean hotspot on Wednesday afternoon, Ceretti proved that even a quick shopping trip can be done in style.

To start, she kept things cozy in a spaghetti-strap lace camisole top in crêpe de chine, courtesy of Saint Laurent. Although she is not an official ambassador for the luxury French fashion house, Ceretti has starred in a number of campaigns for its current creative director, Anthony Vaccarello—including the latest summer 2026 “Respiro” shoot—and when it comes to her street style, she can often be found repping the label.

She layered the lingerie-inspired top over a black bra, and to complement it, Ceretti slipped into a pair of relaxed, see-through sweatpants, also in white. These flowy bottoms appeared to be from Lanvin, and they came equipped with a ribbon drawstring that hung down from the center of the elastic waist.

For accessories, the model wore a set of black thong flip-flops with silver studs along the straps, while carrying a chocolate suede tote with gold chain straps from Chanel. Jill Biden has confessed that coming to terms with her stepson Hunter Biden's crippling drug addiction was "really hard," RadarOnline.com can reveal.

The former first lady got candid about Hunter's troubles, in part blaming herself for his setbacks.

Jill dropped by SiriusXM's Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa for a wide-ranging discussion on everything from Donald Trump's White House renovations to whether or not she believes there will ever be a female president.

She spoke candidly about Hunter and his struggles, saying, "Addiction affects so many people, and it was really hard, I think, for me personally, to understand addiction, to understand it was an illness, because I kept feeling like, 'My God, we gave him everything.'"

The 75-year-old explained, "We gave him a good education. He couldn’t be more loved. He has a great family. We live in a great house. What more could we have given him?

"And so you tend to look at yourself and think, 'What did I do wrong? How could I have done this better?' And once you’re going through rehab after rehab and you're not getting answers, I think it's really hard."

Jill Biden Praises Hunter for Overcoming His Addiction

She did express her pride that he turned his life around.mega

Jill then praised Hunter for fighting the tough fight.

"But Hunter has overcome his addiction, if that’s the right word. Thank God," she told Ripa. "You’ve probably heard him on podcasts now. He openly talks about addiction, which I think is helping other addicts see their way forward and helping families..."

Ripa interjected, "Understand that it is a disease."

"Yeah. Exactly," Jill concurred. "Because it’s really hard to understand when you're going through it. But now he’s doing — he's helping people in recovery. He’s been in recovery, I think I forget; it’s eight to 10 years now. He’s remarried. He has a beautiful little boy whom he named Beau, who's six years old now.

"He turned his life around, but it wasn’t easy, and it was years and years."

Hunter Biden Hits Rock Bottom

Hunter kicked off his apology podcast tour in May, when he held little back during a discussion with Candace Owens, who has spent years publicly mocking him as a drug addict. The president's son confessed he was one.

"I've heard you call me a crackhead many times, and the truth of the matter is, I was a crackhead," Hunter stated bluntly, before describing the realization that he had hit rock bottom.

"My marriage fell apart, and it just started a really, really dark cycle," he said. "My brother called me and said, 'This has got to stop.'

"And it forced me into a choice. And the choice was, do I get out of bed and live, or do I die?"

President Biden Stands By His Son's Side

Hunter claimed in his memoir that he had a "superpower" for finding crack cocaine no matter where he was, and he took a hit of the powerful narcotic every 15 minutes.

He's previously detailed that at the height of his addiction, his daily routine consisted of "a bottle of vodka and as many hits on a crack pipe as possible."

Eventually Hunter's father, who was serving as vice president to then-President Barack Obama, had to confront him at his home.

Joe told his son, "I know you're not fine, Hunter. You need help."

Hunter said his dad never left his side despite his problems. He wrote, "He never let me forget that all was not lost. He never abandoned me, never shunned me, never judged me, no matter how bad things got - and believe me, from there they would get much, much worse."
