Hulu's Prison Break reboot could bring back some original characters.

New cast member Lukas Gage is teasing the "gritty" show.

Wentworth Miller previously declared that he was done with Michael Scofield.

A few of our favorite prisoners might be locked up again.

The series Prison Break is being rebooted for Hulu by Mayans M.C. co-creator Elgin James, and while this version will focus on a new cast of characters, it sounds like some of the Fox River gang could be resurfacing.

"We might see a couple of OGs coming back," Lukas Gage teased on Tuesday to The Hollywood Reporter.

Prison Break was a breakout success when it premiered on Fox in 2005, and the series ran for three additional seasons, before then returning in 2017 for a revival fifth season.

The original drama followed genius structural engineer Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), who got himself arrested and put in the same prison as his troubled brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) with the intention to help the innocent man escape. Among the other fan favorites who would make for exciting returns on the new show are Amaury Nolasco as Michael's loyal cellmate Fernando Sucre, William Fichtner as former FBI agent Alexander Mahone, and Robert Knepper as the despicable predator T-Bag.

Miller previously declared that he was done with Prison Break because, as an openly gay man, he no longer wanted to play straight characters. "If you were a fan of the show, hoping for additional seasons... I understand this is disappointing," he wrote on social media. "I'm sorry."

The new Prison Break will center on Cassidy (Emily Browning), an ex-soldier turned corrections officer who takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America to prove just how far she'll go for someone she loves.

Joining Browning and Gage in the cast are Drake Rodger, Myles Bullock, Georgie Flores, JR Bourne, and Clayton Cardenas.

"We're paying respect to the amazing TV show that I grew up loving but it's also on Hulu now, it's not on Fox, so we can get really gritty and get really dark," Gage said. "It's gonna be crazy, it's gonna be a wild ride."
