Harry Styles is practically an open book — even when it comes to confessing to the grave sin of laughing during a funeral.
The Grammy winner made his sheepish confession during an appearance on Brittany Broski's *Royal Court* on Wednesday. The moment arrived when the media personality brought up Styles' track "Music for a Sushi Restaurant," asking him what other locations deserved to have a song written about them. Things took an unexpected turn when Styles said... the crematorium.
"I really like cremation songs," Styles admitted, after which Broski looked taken aback and the crew behind the camera burst in laughter.
The former One Direction member explained that his interest in "cremation songs" first came about after his grandmother died. "I remember being at my grandma's funeral, and as the belt started, it just went 'the long and winding road,'" he recalled, citing the lyrics to the famous Beatles song. "And it made me laugh."

"It feels so inappropriate because of how abrupt it was," Styles added. "And then I just started thinking about inappropriate cremation songs."
Styles and Broski then began a back-and-forth in which they named songs that would work for the strange theme, including Dan Hartman's "Relight My Fire," The Trammps' "Disco Inferno," and Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire."
The "Watermelon Sugar" singer didn't dish on if he'd have any cremation-appropriate songs on his upcoming album, *Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally*,* *but he was enthusiastic about the project, which is out March 6.
"I had so much fun making this album," Styles told Broski elsewhere in the interview.

Several days after the new record's release, Styles will make his *Saturday Night Live* return on March 14, pulling double duty as host and musical guest for the second time. He last had that honor in 2019, after previously serving as a solo musical guest and performing three times with One Direction.
Later in the year, Styles will kick off his Together, Together tour, which marks his first big set of performances since wrapping his Love on Tour in 2023. He will perform 50 shows across seven cities, including Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, New York, Melbourne, and Sydney through December.
