A Disney World cast member was knocked to the ground after a stunt show prop rolled out of place during a show in the last days of 2025.
The moment was captured in a video taken during a performance of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at Disney's Hollywood Studios and shared to TikTok on Tuesday, Dec. 30. Disney World visitor Drew Bruinsma tells PEOPLE she witnessed the incident and received the video from a fellow guest.
"We were sitting there and didn't know what was going on, then all of the sudden a worker named Robert stepped in front and saved us from getting smashed," she says. "It was a crazy experience and definitely one that we will remember."
In a statement shared with PEOPLE, a Disney World representative confirmed a performer was injured during a performance of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular on Dec. 30."We're focused on supporting our cast member who is recovering," the statement says. "Safety is at the heart of what we do, and that element of the show will be modified as our safety team completes a review of what happened."
According to Disney World's website, actors depicting Indy and Marion "perform incredible stunts with explosive special effects" throughout the show.
"Watch live as the daring duo dodges deadly traps, battles bad guys, leaps from tall buildings and makes thrilling escapes straight out of Raiders of the Lost Ark," the company writes.
Typically, the show features a segment inspired by the classic film where Indy is chased by a barreling boulder down a predetermined track. However, in this instance, the boulder rolled out of place and towards the audience.
In the video of the incident, after the cast member stops the ball from rolling towards the audience, he is bounced backwards, landing on his back. Additional cast members then rush to his side for support. When the man stands up, there's a bloody gash on his head that a fellow cast member covers with his hands.
"He literally saved our lives, that guy," the man behind the camera says aloud.

According to Bruinsma, the cast member "got up what seemed like right away with a little help from a couple other people" and his "head was bleeding quite a bit."
She reports that the show continued, and after it was over, the performer "came out and waved, and everyone gave him a standing ovation."
On X, a user claiming to know the cast member says the cast member's injuries were minor.
"This heroic Cast Member is our dear friend Robert. He received 6 stitches but is recovering in the hospital," Ashley Suit posted on Dec. 30. "He's a former stunt man and his quick thinking saved many."
