Summer House star Kyle Cooke is clarifying his cryptic Instagram post that made fans think he quit the Bravo show.

"The show isn't cancelled and this is not me announcing I won't return," insisted the reality star.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that West Wilson, who is now dating Cooke's estranged wife, will not be back for season 11.

Summer should be fun, but instead it's been an emotional rollercoaster for Kyle Cooke.

The Summer House veteran sent fans into a frenzy on Thursday with an Instagram post that read like he was saying goodbye to the Bravo reality series after 10 seasons.

"I'm tearing up as I type this because we truly become a family shooting this show and it was a gut wrenching way to leave this house for good," Cooke captioned a photo carousel featuring him and Summer House producers posing in front of the Hamptons residence featured on the show.

"I think we can finally close this chapter," he continued. "Thank you to the fans for believing in this show and for all of your support over the last decade."

Within minutes, he edited the photo to clarify his cryptic caption.

"The show isn't cancelled and this is not me announcing I won't return," wrote Cooke, who is currently starring in Summer House's spinoff, In the City. "I was feeling emo and always planned sharing the cover photo because it DID feel like the end of an era, which is why everyone else was so emotional saying their goodbyes on the finale. Sorry everyone!"

Cooke may be back for season 11, but the Summer House cast member accused of betraying him has been evicted. West Wilson will not return to the show, following the shocking revelation that he and Cooke's estranged wife, Amanda Batula, have been in a secret relationship. Further complicating matters, Wilson was in an on-and-off relationship with Summer House's Ciara Miller, one of Batula's closest friends.

The couple's attempt to defend themselves during the show's explosive reunion special was unanimously rejected by both the cast and fans. However, it was behind-the-scenes drama that ultimately led to Wilson's exit.

According to Us Weekly, he pushed to have Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, and Carl Radke — all original Summer House cast members — fired ahead of season 11.

"His goal was to be with Amanda and then just film with his friends," a source claimed of Wilson, who joined the show in season 8. "There's a tear in the friend group. The cast doesn't want to film with him."

And the majority aren't speaking to Batula either, added the Us Weekly insider who revealed it's "still up in the air if she's going to come back."

- *The Voice* showrunner Audrey Morrissey tells EW on a recent set visit about choosing the right coaches for the show.

- Being a member of the ever-changing panel is a "team sport," she says, with the goal of entertaining.

- Morrissey teases that another "Battle of Champions"-themed season is "possibly" coming.

Just a few hours into filming the new season of *The Voice*, the panel of coaches is already clicking. Veteran hosts Adam Levine, who won last season's *The Voice: Battle of Champions*, and Kelly Clarkson, who lost to him, are handing out smiles and hugs to their new counterparts, rapper/singer/actress Queen Latifah and country star Riley Green.

When the Emmy- and Grammy-winner and Oscar-nominated actress for *Chicago* beats out Clarkson for a crooner who could one day rival Green — whose hits include "You Look Like You Love Me" with Ella Langley — Clarkson maintains an upbeat vibe. Yes, the "Since U Been Gone" singer points out that she turned around first, but she knows there will be many contestants sauntering onto the stage for the show's signature Blind Auditions, in which coaches choose team members based solely on their vocals.

This camaraderie and focus on positivity from the coaches is essential to the success of the Carson Daly-hosted reality show, showrunner Audrey Morrissey tells ** on a set visit earlier this week. The challenge is that the cast has, by design, changed regularly since the reality competition debuted in 2011. However, former coaches regularly return to serve as mentors during rehearsals — and some first-time mentors have eventually become coaches.

“It is key to the show. I don't know that there's any special strategy, except that it is a key factor,” Morrissey says of the role coaches play. “Being a *Voice* coach is a team sport, because you have to work together as a team to create the moments.”

For instance, on *Battle of Champions*, which concluded in April, all the coaches were stunned — in a good way! — after Alexia Jayy, who was competing for Team Adam, sang Adele’s “One and Only” during the finale. (There was a reason Jayy was so good — she ultimately won the title.) It was, yep, a moment.

Legend not only cried but had to fan himself.

"We're just so proud of you, honestly," the “Ordinary People” singer said of his competitor's contestant. “You've just been remarkable every single time. You’ve just been a blessing to all of us, so thank you."

Clarkson raved, too. "Wow! You're like a vessel. Girl, that was so good!” she said. “And you felt it." She noted that Adele was one of her favorite singers, but “damn!” On a post-finale visit to Clarkson's talk show, the host playfully asked Jayy, who's one of the many artists performing on *Macy's 4th of July Fireworks* (8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock) to vow she wouldn't sing any of her songs — fearing she would sing them better than her (something, by the way, that many artists say about Clarkson's covers on her show).

Levine, of course, had even kinder things to say about the contestant who prompted all three to turn their chairs during the audition round. After she won, he declared, "There is no one more deserving of this honor."

There’s no way to ensure that coaches will connect so well that they'll actively root for each other, yet still make for good TV banter, but Morrissey says producers have determined a few loose guidelines for the people who work with artists during rehearsals, perform with them on the* Voice* stage, and often keep in touch with them afterward.

“We try to find people from different genres, for sure,” Morrissey says. “We want people who artists coming through the show would want to be on their team, someone that they look up to and respect. We also think about their personalities. Do they have a little bit of a funny bone, a little bit of comedy in them? Do they have big energy? Are they gonna roll with it when they don't get someone on their team? Are they gonna be able to withstand the good-natured ribbing that comes with the Blinds?"

Michael Bublé, Niall Horan Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg on 'The Voice'

Season 28 'The Voice' coaches Michael Bublé, Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg.

She acknowledges that the people behind the scenes are also going into the show blind with each cast. By now, they have staples who come in and out — Clarkson, Levine, country star Blake Shelton (Levine’s faux nemesis), and soulful singer/EGOT winner John Legend, among them — but they regularly try out new personalities.

"You never really know, of course, until they're all together," Morrissey says. "But the truth is the format's really strong, and it's worked with every combination of people we've ever put in the chairs. So that gives you a lot of confidence, too."

So does she foresee another *Battle of Champions*-themed season, comprised of coaches whose team has previously won?

***Get your daily dose of entertainment news, celebrity updates, and what to watch with our ******EW Dispatch newsletter******.***

"Possibly. I think we probably won't do it right away. It was a good sort of test," Morrissey says. "People ask us, 'Are you ever going to do an all-star season and bring back former artists that have been on the show?' We talk about that. We're thinking about some other cool ideas in the future."

For now, they'll keep cranking out episodes based on the tried-and-true formula, with good-natured coaches at the heart, and contestants whose stories tug at people’s heartstrings.

"You're either crying because you're so happy and relieved they got a chair turn," Morrissey says, "or you're sad that they didn't."

She recalls that a young contestant who didn’t get a chair turn the day before EW's visit. The coaches were "all crushed, but it happens every season. It's awful."

The upside is that even if an aspiring artist leaves without a spot on the NBC series, they're leaving with some advice from some knowledgeable — and affable — people.

*The Voice* is available to stream on Peacock. Season 30 will premiere in September on NBC.

The actor wants another British actor to take on the role of Spider-Man next

Holland said he hopes to mentor the next Spider-Man the way that Robert Downey Jr. mentored him when he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)

Tom Holland has an idea of which young actor should be the next to don the Spider-Man suit.

Holland, 30, opened up about his vision for the future of the beloved superhero, who he has played for Marvel's franchise of films since 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, in a new interview with Esquire.

When asked about his future with Marvel's Avengers, he noted to the outlet that while it is "pretty tough to get a producing credit on future movies," he hopes to step in and guide his Spider-Man successor.

"In the way that Robert Downey was such a mentor for me in my first three movies, I would love to be that person for whoever is next," Holland told the outlet of his co-star, who played Iron Man in the MCU.

Holland then cast his vote on who he would choose to fill his shoes: Adolescence star Owen Cooper.

"Owen Cooper would be awesome," Holland said. "Obviously he's super-talented and the talk of the town right now."

Cooper, 16, has already won Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television award at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, Best Supporting Actor on Television at the Golden Globe Awards, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie at the Primetime Emmy Awards, and more for his role in Netflix's gripping limited series Adolescence.

In the Netflix show, which is shot entirely in a single, continuous shot, Cooper plays 13-year-old Jamie Miller, who is accused of killing his female classmate, as investigators dive headfirst into the "manosphere" to deduce what brought him to commit murder. The 2025 show was inspired by the real-life knife violence epidemic in the United Kingdom. In England and Wales, the Office for National Statistics reported that the number of knife attacks has nearly doubled over the past decade.

Following his performance in Adolescence, Cooper went on to star as young Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights and the BBC series Film Club. Cooper will soon appear in Cry to Heaven opposite Nicholas Hoult, Adele, Colin Firth, Lux Pascal, and more. The upcoming 2027 film is an adaptation of Anne Rice's 1982 novel of the same name.

Fifa says it is unaware at this stage of any fans getting into England's opening World Cup match against Croatia without tickets.

Reports, citing eyewitnesses at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, said scores of fans had breached security and entered the venue without any sort of check.

One witness told Mail Sport: "There were big gaps at the side of the ticket barriers and people just strolled through. There were volunteers who were basically old ladies and they weren't stopping anyone."

A spokesperson for Fifa said: "At this stage, we have no indication of fans entering the stadium without a valid match ticket for the game in question."

The official attendance announced for the game was 70,389, just under the 70,649 official capacity confirmed pre-tournament by Fifa.

The price of tickets for the tournament has been one of the key talking points in the build-up.

The cheapest tickets sold through England's supporter travel scheme were initially £198 for the Croatia game but, after a fan backlash, Fifa pledged to make 10 per cent of tickets per match within this allocation available for $60 (£45).

England won their World Cup opener in Arlington, with Harry Kane bagging a brace to begin his bid for the Golden Boot in perfect style.

The Three Lions had their captain's two first-half goals cancelled out by Martin Baturina and Petar Musa, but after stern words from manager Thomas Tuchel at half-time went on to win 4-2.

Jude Bellingham restored England's lead just two minutes after the restart before Marcus Rashford sealed the points late on off the bench.

England next face Ghana in Boston on Tuesday and a win will qualify Tuchel's side for the knockout phase.

The stars have been out at the 2026 World Cup. It's been less than a week of group-play competition, and there are already of host of multi-goal scorers.

It isn't too early to start tracking the Golden Boot race. The award is given to the tournament's top goalscorer. Assists are used as a tiebreaker if two or more players finish with the same goal total.

Kylian Mbappé earned the prestigious honor during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He mounted eight goals while leading France to the doorstep of another title. Mbappé opened the scoring gates in France's first match of this year's World Cup.

As of Wednesday night, he's one of eight players with at least two goals in the tournament so far. And he's not the only former Golden Boot winner in the mix. So is England's Harry Kane, who claimed the honor with six goals during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Argentina's Lionel Messi is out in front, thanks to his head-turning hat trick, his first in his illustrious World Cup career. As a result of his prolific outing versus Algeria, Messi, soon to be 39, is now tied with Germany's Miroslav Klose for the most goals in World Cup history.

Kane bagged a record-tying brace against Croatia on Wednesday. In rematch of the teams' 2018 World Cup semifinal, he scored on a penalty kick and a set-piece header to tie Gary Lineker as the Three Lions' all-time leading goal scorer at the World Cup.

On Tuesday — the same day Messi sparkled and Mbappé scored a pair of goals in a win over Senegal — Norway's Erling Haaland found the back of the net twice in his long-awaited World Cup debut, piloting his country to a convincing victory against Iraq.

If you missed any of those performances, you can relive the nine combined goals scored by Messi, Kane, Mbappé and Haaland.

Of course, last Friday, Folarin Balogun became a household name in the U.S. He accounted for half of the Americans' scoring in a 4-1 statement-making win over Paraguay. The other three players with two goals in this year's World Cup are Germany's Kai Havertz, Sweden's Yasin Ayari and New Zealand's Eli Just.

Hulu's Prison Break reboot could bring back some original characters.

New cast member Lukas Gage is teasing the "gritty" show.

Wentworth Miller previously declared that he was done with Michael Scofield.

A few of our favorite prisoners might be locked up again.

The series Prison Break is being rebooted for Hulu by Mayans M.C. co-creator Elgin James, and while this version will focus on a new cast of characters, it sounds like some of the Fox River gang could be resurfacing.

"We might see a couple of OGs coming back," Lukas Gage teased on Tuesday to The Hollywood Reporter.

Prison Break was a breakout success when it premiered on Fox in 2005, and the series ran for three additional seasons, before then returning in 2017 for a revival fifth season.

The original drama followed genius structural engineer Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), who got himself arrested and put in the same prison as his troubled brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) with the intention to help the innocent man escape. Among the other fan favorites who would make for exciting returns on the new show are Amaury Nolasco as Michael's loyal cellmate Fernando Sucre, William Fichtner as former FBI agent Alexander Mahone, and Robert Knepper as the despicable predator T-Bag.

Miller previously declared that he was done with Prison Break because, as an openly gay man, he no longer wanted to play straight characters. "If you were a fan of the show, hoping for additional seasons... I understand this is disappointing," he wrote on social media. "I'm sorry."

The new Prison Break will center on Cassidy (Emily Browning), an ex-soldier turned corrections officer who takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America to prove just how far she'll go for someone she loves.

Joining Browning and Gage in the cast are Drake Rodger, Myles Bullock, Georgie Flores, JR Bourne, and Clayton Cardenas.

"We're paying respect to the amazing TV show that I grew up loving but it's also on Hulu now, it's not on Fox, so we can get really gritty and get really dark," Gage said. "It's gonna be crazy, it's gonna be a wild ride."

For 12 seasons and 261 episodes, audiences and critics alike were captivated by the stories — both professional and personal — of the detectives working at the 15th precinct in Manhattan.

*NYPD Blue*, a series created by crime and legal procedural hitmaker Steven Bochco (*Hill Street Blues*, *L.A. Law*) and future *Deadwood* creator David Milch, was a hit right out of the gate, lauded for its gritty, boundary-pushing take on the police drama genre and its beloved ensemble cast.

All in, the show, which aired from 1993 until 2005, earned 20 Emmys from 84 nominations. It went on to influence and inspire many ensemble dramas, crime or otherwise, that would follow. Below, we take a closer look at some of the actors and characters that made *NYPD Blue* such an enduring hit.

Dennis Franz (Andy Sipowicz)

Andy Sipowicz’s arc from sloppy bigot with a drinking problem to flawed man working on himself to beloved commander of the 15th precinct is something to watch. The more you watch Andy on *NYPD Blue*, the more obvious it is that no actor but Dennis Franz could’ve done this complex character justice.

Even Franz knew his main job in the early seasons was to “make this basically unlikable man a tragic hero,” he told EW. And he did so to the tune of four Emmys, with eight total nominations during his 12-season run.

While Sipowicz is the cop role for which Franz will forever be recognized, it wasn’t his first. After serving 11 months in Vietnam after being drafted into the Army (a backstory he shared with his *NYPD Blue *character), Franz joined a theater group in Chicago and eventually made a name for himself in supporting TV and film roles — most notably on *Hill Street Blues* — throughout the 1980s.

He may have been Norman Buntz to them, but he’ll always be Sipowicz to us. Perhaps it will remain that way: After *NYPD Blue* ended in 2005, Franz retired from acting.

Of course, he has some other impressive acting work deeper on his resume. He was a regular in Brian De Palma films for years, appearing in *The Fury* (1978), *Dressed to Kill* (1980), *Blow Out* (1981), and *Body Double* (1984). He also had a meaty role in *Die Hard 2 *(1990) and co-headlined the film adaptation of David Mamet’s *American Buffalo* (1996), alongside Dustin Hoffman.

He has been married to his wife, Joanie Zeck, since 1995.

When *NYPD Blue* fans reflect on Jimmy Smits’ five seasons as Det. Simone (he arrived in season 2 and left in season 6’s heartbreaking and acclaimed “Hearts and Souls”), they might think about Bobby’s ability to be sensitive and vulnerable while also being very much a tough guy. Or they might simply recall his great chemistry with Andy Sipowicz.

But if you ask Smits to do the same, like EW did, he’ll be reminded of all the “butt work” required. Equally important!

Whatever the special sauce of *NYPD Blue *was, it worked. Aside from critical acclaim, Smits picked up Emmy nominations for all five of his seasons — and won a Golden Globe, too.

These accolades were not new to Smits. Prior to this series, he earned six Emmy nominations and one win for his supporting role as attorney Victor Sifuentes on *L.A. Law*.

After leaving the 15th precinct, Smits departed for a galaxy far, far away, playing Senator Bail Organa — Princess Leia’s adoptive father — in several *Star Wars* films and series beginning with *Revenge of the Sith *(2005).

In 2004, he joined the cast of *The West Wing* for its final two seasons as Matthew Santos, who would go on to succeed President Bartlet. He also appeared in series like *Dexter*, *Sons of Anarchy*, *Brooklyn Nine-Nine*, and *How to Get Away With Murder*.

Smits and his partner, actress Wanda De Jesus, have been together since 1986. He also has two children with his ex-wife.

Kim Delaney made a splash in 1995 when she joined *NYPD Blue* as Det. Diane Russell, who would become Bobby Simone’s love interest.

The Philadelphia native made a name for herself in soaps during the early 1980s, then appeared in a number of thrillers, including *Darkman II: The Return of Durant* (1995).

For *NYPD Blue*, she won an Emmy in 1997 before departing in 1998 to lead Bochco’s next legal drama, *Philly*. The series only lasted one season. She headlined another series in 2007, the Lifetime military family drama *Army Wives*, ultimately starring in six of its seven seasons.

The veteran actress recently appeared on *General Hospital *and in a handful of *Chicago Fire *episodes.

Delaney has one son and has been married three times.

The longest-running main character on the series next to Sipowicz, Gordon Clapp’s Det. Greg Medavoy was a routine source of comic relief across 12 seasons. The actor won one Emmy for his performance.

Clapp found consistent work on TV following *NYPD Blue*, appearing on series like *Deadwood*, *Damages*, *Chicago Fire, Mare of Easttown*,* *and *Poker Face*. He’s also a noted stage actor, with a Tony nomination under his belt for the 2005 revival of *Glengarry Glen Ross*.

The New Hampshire native is also well known to fans of John Sayles, having appeared in the ensemble casts of *Return of the Secaucus Seven *(1979)*, Matewan *(1987)*, Eight Men Out *(1988), and *Sunshine State *(2002). He also went to war for Clint Eastwood in *Flags of Our Fathers *(2006).

Clapp has been married to his second wife, Elisabeth Gordon, since 2016.

James McDaniel (Lt. Arthur Fancy)

For eight seasons, James McDaniel played Lt. Arthur Fancy, the initial commander of the 15th precinct. The role earned him an Emmy nomination in 1996.

*NYPD Blue* wasn’t McDaniel’s only Bochco production, as he was previously in the cast of the producer’s infamous police musical *Cop Rock*, as well as the legal dramas *Civil Wars* and *L.A. Law*.

The D.C. native’s long career includes early guest spots on shows like *Hill Street Blues *and *Crime Story*, which he followed up with film roles in Spike Lee’s *Malcolm X *(1992) and Kiefer Sutherland’s *Truth or Consequences, N.M. *(1997).

Since leaving *NYPD Blue* in season 8, McDaniel has popped up on *Detroit 1-8-7*, *The Night Shift*, and *Sleepy Hollow*.

The veteran actor is married and has two children.

Sharon Lawrence (Sylvia Costas)

Sharon Lawrence began her career in the 1987 Broadway production of *Cabaret*. But it was her six seasons on *NYPD Blue* — in which her Sylvia Costas married Andy Sipowicz before dying tragically — that really put her on the map.

Like so many of her castmates, Lawrence received several Emmy nominations for her performance. In 1996, she won a SAG Award.

The North Carolina native has had a prolific career, primarily on television, where she has appeared on *Desperate Housewives*, *Rizzoli & Isles*, *Shameless*, and *Joe Pickett*. Her turn as Izzie's mother on *Grey’s Anatomy* earned Lawrence another Emmy nomination.

Her big-screen work over the years includes *Little Black Book *(2004) and Ava DuVernay’s *Middle of Nowhere *(2012).

Lawrence and her husband, Tom Apostle, have been married since 2002.

David Caruso (John Kelly)

When Bochco and Milch originally created *NYPD Blue*, it was meant to be a star vehicle for David Caruso. His Det. John Kelly was the clear lead of the series in the first season.

But after a salary dispute, Caruso, who earned a Golden Globe and an Emmy nomination for the role, infamously left *NYPD Blue* early in season 2. Even Caruso has said the decision was short-sighted, admitting to EW in 2011 that he was “pretty inexperienced and didn’t really understand the magnitude of the situation.”

The actor, who had previously appeared in films like *Twins* (1988) and *King of New York* (1990), returned to the big screen with *Kiss of Death* and *Jade*, both released in 1995, and the 2001 cult classic *Session 9*.

In 2002, Caruso took on the role of a different law enforcement officer, Lt. Horatio Caine, on *CSI: Miami*. When it was canceled a decade later, he retired from acting.

The New York native has been married three times and has three children.

Nicholas Turturro (James Martinez)

Two of Nicholas Turturro’s most well-known acting roles just happen to be cops. He played Det. James Martinez for the first seven seasons of *NYPD Blue*, and then spent six years as a recurring cast member on *Blue Bloods*, playing Sergeant Anthony Renzulli.

John Turturro’s younger brother also made his onscreen debut as a policeman in Spike Lee’s *Do the Right Thing* (1989). He has since become a semi-regular in Lee’s work, most recently appearing in *Highest 2 Lowest* (2025).

The two-time Emmy nominee also received an Independent Spirit nomination for *Federal Hill* (1994), and more recently starred with his brother in the miniseries adaptation of *The Name of the Rose*.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar (John Clark Jr.)

Andy Sipowicz’s fourth and final partner was Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s Det. John Clark Jr., who arrived in the ninth season. By the end of the series, he was the 15th precinct's lead detective.

Gosselaar is, of course, known for playing Zack Morris in the generational touchstone *Saved by the Bell*. Once he graduated from Bayside, it took him a few years to find his footing, but once he landed a lasting home on *NYPD Blue*, he became a small-screen fixture.

The L.A. native went on to lead Bochco’s *Raising the Bar* for two seasons before moving on to *Franklin & Bash,* the short-lived baseball drama *Pitch*, the sitcom *Mixed-ish*, and the crime thriller *Found*.

Most recently, he booked a recurring role on the police drama *Will Trent*.

Gosselaar has four children, two with his first wife and two with his current wife, Catriona McGinn, whom he married in 2012.

Henry Simmons (Baldwin Jones)

After two seasons on the daytime soap *Another World*, Henry Simmons nabbed the role of the calm but intimidating Det. Baldwin Jones in the seventh season of *NYPD Blue*. He remained a main cast member until the series ended in 2005.

Following the hit procedural, Simmons was a regular on another crime drama, the James Woods-led *Shark*, for two seasons. He went on to play supporting roles on *Pepper Dennis* and *Ravenswood* before landing the part of Alphonso “Mack” McKenzie on *Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D*. He joined the cast in season 2 and remained until the series’ conclusion in 2020.

More recently, the Connecticut native starred alongside Forest Whitaker on the *Emperor of Ocean Park*.

Rick Schroder (Dan Sorenson)

Child star Rick Schroder — formerly known as Ricky — first made a name for himself by becoming the youngest recipient of a Golden Globe for his performance in *The Champ *(1979). He then spent the bulk of the ’80s headlining the popular sitcom *Silver Spoons*.

But by the time he arrived at the 15th precinct in season 6, Schroder had effectively shed his former persona. Det. Sorenson became Sipowicz’s third partner following Bobby Simone's death — though he, too, would meet an untimely end by season 8.

Following the series, Schroder had a meaty season 6 arc on *24* while also appearing in Lifetime’s *Strong Medicine *and a handful of episodes of *Scrubs*. He also tried his hand in the director’s chair, helming the indie drama *Black Cloud *(2004). The native New Yorker hasn’t had an acting credit since 2016.

Schroder has four children with his first wife Andrea Bernard. They divorced in 2016. He married actress Julie Trammel in 2025.

Garcelle Beauvais (Valerie Haywood)

Haitian-born Garcelle Beauvais began her career modeling in Miami and New York City — she was signed by Ford Models at 17 — but it wasn’t long before she made the jump to acting.

Beauvais was part of the ensemble cast of Aaron Spelling’s *Melrose Place *spinoff, *Models Inc. *In 1996, she took a leading role on *The Jamie Foxx Show*, playing the love interest Fancy Monroe for all five seasons.

It was the latter role that helped her get cast on *NYPD Blue *in 2001. Beauvais played attorney Valerie Haywood from seasons 8 through 11.

While Beauvais continued to act in film and television following *NYPD Blue*, she’s perhaps best known as a cast member on *The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills* for five seasons, exiting the show in 2025.

She was also a regular on the first two seasons of *Franklin & Bash *and appeared in *Spider-Man: Homecoming* (2017) as the unassuming wife of Michael Keaton’s villainous Adrian Toomes.
