In June 2025, MrBeast was named by Forbes as the highest-paid YouTuber and content creator, earning around $85 million

Though MrBeast confirmed that he's a billionaire on paper, he said he keeps less than $1 million in his bank account

MrBeast has been named the highest-paid content creator by Forbes.

Since the YouTuber, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, started posting on the platform in 2012, he's built a total following of over 600 million people who stream his stunt and challenge-style content. He told TIME in February 2024 that he earned between $600 and $700 million annually, and Forbes lists his 2025 earnings at $85 million.

But despite those high figures, MrBeast wouldn't call himself rich. "I mean, not right now," he explained. "I'm not naive; maybe one day. But right now, whatever we make, we reinvest ... I've reinvested everything to the point of—you could claim—stupidity, just believing that we would succeed. And it's worked out."

Some of those reinvestments included a chocolate brand and a Squid Game-inspired competition series titled Beast Games, which premiered its second season on Prime Video on Jan. 7.

So what is MrBeast's net worth? Here's everything to know about the YouTuber's empire and why he hasn't dubbed himself a billionaire just yet.

According to Forbes, MrBeast's 2025 earnings as of June were $85 million. However, his net worth is likely higher. During a deposition in November 2024, he said that he owned "a little over half" of his media company, Beast Industries. Business Insider reported that because the brand is valued at around $5 billion, his ownership stake would be worth around $2.5 billion.

Though Beast Industries made over $400 million in revenue in 2024, MrBeast said that the company wasn't profitable due to the high production costs in its media segment.

Since MrBeast started posting on YouTube in 2012, he has become the top creator on the platform. Business Insider reported in April 2025 that his videos get an average of 3 billion views per month.

Though his exact earnings from YouTube alone are unclear, the $400 million he made through Beast Industries in 2024 includes his channel as well as his series Beast Games.

Fans look on during the MrBeast Feastables launch on June 26, 2024 in Sydney, Australia.

Though fans might know him best from YouTube and Beast Games, MrBeast has actually earned most of his money from his chocolate brand.

Feastables, which launched in 2022, generated about $250 million in sales and over $20 million in profit in 2024, Bloomberg reported.

"I just obsess over the product and make sure the product's really high-quality," he said in the 2024 deposition of Feastables, per Business Insider. "We're launching in the right places, and we're doing things that delight and make our customers happy."

It marked the first time the creator's side hustle surpassed his media business, which earned $226 million that year but lost around $80 million. Part of that loss might have been due to Beast Games, as MrBeast created it with his own money and allegedly spent over the $100 million budget.

In addition to Feastables' ethically sourced chocolate bars, the content creator also owns a snack brand called Lunchly and a software firm called Viewstats.

Some of MrBeast's most-watched videos center on the YouTuber's over-the-top philanthropic efforts.

Fortune reported in 2025 that through his nonprofit Beast Philanthropy, the creator has donated $5 million to Ukrainian refugees, over $300 million worth of food and $500 million in school supplies and technology. He has also funded 100 cleft palate surgeries, 600 e-bikes and 2,000 prosthetics for people in need.

MrBeast told TIME that his YouTube channel sends $100,000 every month to Beast Philanthropy.

Though some critics have accused the creator of profiting off filmed acts of generosity, the YouTuber has defended the approach, saying it offers a positive alternative for young viewers.

"I like to do those kinds of videos, because it gives younger kids someone to look up to and be like, 'Oh, that's cool,' " MrBeast said. "And instead of drinking alcohol or doing drugs, it's a role model that they can be like, 'He does good and helps people.' "

MrBeast speaks during The New York Times DealBook Summit 2025 on December 03, 2025 in New York City.

In a February 2025 episode of The Diary of a CEO, MrBeast confirmed that he had achieved billionaire status — but was adamant that those figures did not reflect his actual bank account balance.

"On paper, yeah," the creator said when asked if he was a billionaire. "But in my actual bank account, I have less than $1 million. [I pay myself] a little bit, but I also have some assistants and things like that, so I try to pay myself what I spend personally, a month, just to stay even."
