Mason Ramsey, once known for yodeling in the aisles of a local Walmart, is entering a new phase of his musical career in 2026. His latest chapter follows what he has described as "one of the most difficult years of my life."

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Jan. 6, the country singer revealed he had faced a series of struggles over the last 12 months. The difficulties caused him to step away from social media for a lengthy period of time.

His Previous Instagram Account Was Wiped Clean

Now, after scrubbing away his previous Instagram account, Ramsey has returned, marking a fresh start. In the first message of the new year, he revealed why he had been absent for so long, writing that he was not only dropped by his record label, but his partnerships with his manager and his agency have also dissolved.

"Hey y'all, happy New Year! I took a much-needed break from social media so I could get my business and head on straight," Ramsey wrote alongside three selfies that showed him in good spirits, with one featuring him holding an acoustic guitar in his hand. "I wanted to say thank you for the birthday wishes in November and all the Merry Christmas messages I got in December."

The Country Artist Has Taken on a New Team

"Last year was one of the most difficult years of my life," he continued. "My label dropped me, my agency left me, and I had to part ways with my manager."

Despite the unexpected career setbacks, Ramsey went on to share some positive moments that have happened since he was forced to take on a new direction.

"I have brought on a whole new team and have been making music that I have never been more excited about," he wrote."I can't wait to share everything I've been working on and to get back on the road."

"I'll be a lot more active on here," he promised. "So feel free to say hi! Much Love - MR."

Mason Ramsey's Music Career Took off in 2018

Ramsey, now 19 years old, first turned heads in 2018 at the tender age of 11 with his natural yodeling and an impressive cover of Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues." Affectionately earning a handful of nicknames, including "Walmart Yodeling Boy" and "Little Hank," at an early age, Ramsey appeared in a viral video, which showcased him performing the song inside one of the department stores.

His undeniable talent and charisma led to a Grand Ole Opry debut and various other projects, as well as an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. More recently, Ramsey released a duet with fellow country singer Harper Grace on a song called "Live Lonely."
