Jamie Lee Curtis is over dressing for the red carpet.

On Tuesday, Dec. 9, the 67-year-old actress opened up about her fashion woes at the world premiere of her new film Ella McCay in Los Angeles.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, Curtis said she "just can't" when it comes to getting dressed for events.

"If someone says, 'Oh, so-and-so is getting a lifetime achievement award at the things, I'm like, 'Oh that's so great! I want to go — no, I don't want to go,'" the star told the outlet in a video shared on TikTok. "The first word out of my mouth is 'Oh, what am I gonna wear?'"

Curtis continued, "Dudes get to wear tuxedos. Women have to like, throw it down every time. And it's getting cray cray with the clothing. It's getting a little nutty."

The Freakier Friday star hit the red carpet in a black leather midi dress and a black cardigan. She added black pumps and a black clutch.

She also appeared alongside her husband, Christopher Guest, who opted for a simple navy suit with black shoes and no tie.

The red carpet date night took place just days before they mark their 41st wedding anniversary. Guest and Curtis famously met for the first time in 1984 and married just six months after that encounter.

Curtis has a reputation for hyping up other women on the red carpet.

When she spotted Sydney Sweeney at Variety's 2025 Power of Women event in October, the Oscar winner was seen approvingly pointing up and down at her look before giving the Euphoria actress a hug in a video captured by Entertainment Tonight.

Sweeney turned heads at the event by going braless in a figure-hugging crystal gown styled by Molly Dickson and pulled from the Christian Cowan x Elias Matso Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

In July, Curtis went viral for giving a flattering NSFW remark about her friend Allison Janney's sexy pantsless look at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards. The moment was shared with fans in an Instagram video posted by Janney, capturing Curtis playfully telling her to "go f--- yourself."

At the New York City premiere of her new movie The Roses on Monday, Aug. 25, Janney told PEOPLE how much she appreciated Curtis' reaction.

"Are you kidding me? It was probably my best reaction to any red carpet outfit I've ever worn," the 65-year-old actress gushed. "Jamie Lee Curtis gave me the best reaction ever. I'll never forget it."

She continued, "I posted it on my Instagram. I bleeped the F-word, but it was enormously fun, and I loved having that moment with her."
