Trump administration files paperwork to withdraw U.S. from Paris climate agreement

The Trump administration filed paperwork in the present day to make official the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement.

"President Trump made the decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement due to the unfair economic burden imposed on American staff, companies, and taxpayers by U.S. pledges made underneath the Settlement," Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated in a press release.
