Recent off her first Grammy nomination for her memoir Turning into, Michelle Obama stopped by Ellen DeGeneres‘ house to sing a duet about her newest e-book and share her personal musical chops on Instagram.
Obama, 55, posted a video Thursday of her singing alongside DeGeneres, 61, who’s seen enjoying the piano in her house and hilariously harmonizing with the previous first woman.
The two celebrities, both recognized for their inspirational phrases of empowerment, have been singing about Obama’s newest guide — or journal, as Obama corrects DeGeneres — Becoming: A Guided Journal for Discovering Your Voice. The new undertaking is a counterpart to Obama’s best-selling memoir and was launched this week.

The e-book features an intro from Obama and 150 inspiring questions and quotes that act as prompts for readers so as to add their very own ideas and tales within its pages.

Though the video is less than a minute lengthy, the former first woman still found a solution to get an inspirational message across to her followers.
“The aim of the journal is to put in writing down your personal story of turning into,” Obama sings to the digital camera. “To chronicle your reminiscences, your thoughts, your concepts, your impressions, because every story issues.”
