The visionary filmmaker behind A24's I Saw the TV Glow (2024) is back with another mind-bending twist on the horror genre.

The new teaser for Jane Schoenbrun's Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, debuting exclusively with Entertainment Weekly, offers a first look at the trippy horror film within a horror film starring Hacks' Hannah Einbinder and The X-Files' Gillian Anderson.

Described as "funnier and grislier" than their previous project — which followed two high schoolers, played by Justice Smith and Jack Haven, who bond over their favorite fictional TV show — Schoenbrun's new movie involves a fictional, once-popular horror film series that's running out of steam.

"After years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom, the Camp Miasma slasher franchise is handed over to an enthusiastic young director for resurrection," reads the official synopsis. "But when she visits the original movie's star, a now-reclusive actress shrouded in mystery, the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, and delirium."

Based on the teaser, Einbinder appears to be that starry-eyed filmmaker, while Anderson takes on the mysterious "final girl" from Camp Miasma's past.

"There is a hole at the bottom of the lake where the movies come from," Anderson intones to her costar in the teaser, adding ominously, "He always comes back."

After pausing to consider, a befuddled Einbinder replies, "What?"

Eva Victor (Sorry, Baby), Zach Cherry (Severance), Sarah Sherman (Saturday Night Live), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Scream 7), and Jack Haven (I Saw the TV Glow) also star, among others.

Produced by Mubi and Brad Pitt's Plan B, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is the third film from Schoenbrun, following TV Glow and We're All Going to the World's Fair (2021). Like their previous films, Camp Miasma promises to explore trans identity through the lens of queer horror.

In a profile for The New Yorker, Schoenbrun noted their fascination with gender deviance in horror, citing characters such as Psycho's Norman Bates and The Silence of the Lambs' Buffalo Bill as having "created and codified an idea of transness as monstrous." The new film, the profile teased, would both critique and honor that history.

Schoenbrun has also described it as "essentially a movie about learning to enjoy sex after transition."

Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma hits theaters in the U.S. and Canada on Aug. 7, with additional territories to follow.

Vanderpump Rules Season 12 taught us the more things change, the more things stay the same. This brand-new group of SURvers trying to make it big delivered plenty of drama throughout the season. And now it seems this group is ending things with a bang with even more drama during the reunion. So, what's in store for us? Grab a Pumptini and check out the Season 12 reunion trailer below!

The Pump Rules S12 reunion teaser has arrived

The trailer kicks off with Audrey Lingle versus Angelica Jensen. The two have been feuding ever since Audrey confided in Angelica that Jason Cohen had a penis pump, and then Angelica told the entire staff. Then Angelica tried to make Chris Hahn, who Audrey was dating, look bad when she accused him and Jason of having an "incestuous" OnlyFans video.

So, it makes sense why Audrey was not pleased with her on stage. She explained that she's been "brutalized" on social media. When Angelica interjected that she had been too, Audrey shouted, "Shut the f*ck up. F*ck you, because you f*cking started it, you b*tch." Audrey was wasting no time!

Another feud that came up was between couple Kim Suarez and Marcus Johnson and their former bestie, Venus Binkley. They had a falling out when Venus didn't want to be involved in their drama anymore.

This led to Marcus telling everyone at SUR what Venus had said behind their backs. And Venus was still not over it. He told Andy Cohen, "I don't trust either of them." Kim responded, "You're so delusional!"

Kim also had beef with Natalie Maguire. She said, "You act like you wanted peace, but you don't." Natalie yelled back, "Yes, I f*cking do! We can go back and forth all day."

And finally, the drama between Audrey and Chris continued when Andy dropped a bombshell. Allegedly, Chris was sleeping with another woman the entire time he was dating Audrey. But was it true? We'll have to tune in to find out!

Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It can be streamed on Peacock the next day.

The State of the Union was not strong, according to Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.

The late-night hosts both went on the air Tuesday night to share their immediate reactions to President Donald Trump's first official State of the Union address Feb. 24 of his second term.

Kimmel described it as an "angry" address, which was "like a Christmas message from the Grinch," and asked, "When you ramble mostly incoherently for two hours, is that technically still a speech, or does it, at some point, become a conniption fit?"

USA TODAY has reached out to the White House for comment.

The "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host also had a field day with the historic length of the address, which at 1 hour and 47 minutes was the longest on record. "He's probably still going, right?" Kimmel joked before quipping, "They do need to hire an orchestra to play him off like the Oscars. At the stroke of 90 minutes, go straight into 'YMCA' and end it."

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", will resume production after it was pulled off the air Sept. 17, following comments he made in the wake of Charlie Kirk's killing. Kimmel, a frequent critic of Donald Trump, often earned the ire of the president. After the announcement, Trump urged other networks to do the same. Scroll to see the other late-night talk show hosts that have feuded with the president over the years.

During his address, Trump told lawmakers that "our nation is back" and characterized the United States as being in a "golden age" on the year of its 250th birthday. The president discussed everything from the economy and his immigration agenda to Charlie Kirk, whose widow, Erika Kirk, was in attendance.

But Kimmel in his monologue laid out what he described as the "real state of the union," which is that the United States is being led by a "nutjob wannabe king."

Colbert also went live on "The Late Show" after the State of the Union and concluded that there "really wasn't much new material" in Trump's address.

While Colbert noted the speech came during an important moment when Trump grapples with low approval ratings, he suggested it would be unlikely to change anyone's mind about the president and his agenda.

"It was a dark speech, filled with divisive lies, and it's unlikely to win him much support with the voters who have grown disenchanted with the chaos and dysfunction of his second administration," the comedian said.

Colbert also poked fun at the theme of the speech being "America at 250: Strong, Prosperous and Respected," joking, "If you have to say you're strong, prosperous and respected, it kind of feels like you're not."

This was Colbert's final time covering a presidential State of the Union address on "The Late Show," which is set to air its final episode in May after CBS canceled the show last year.

Jimmy Fallon also joked about Trump's address on "The Tonight Show," telling viewers that the president's speech "focused on his major accomplishments, and when those eight seconds were up, he just riffed for an hour and a half."

Think about how many people attended Taylor Swift's worldwide Eras Tour. That's a fairly huge number, right? Now think about how many people still remember seeing Elvis Presley live and in person. That's likely not a very big number at all, and one steadily decreasing as time goes on.

That's why director Baz Luhrmann's "EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert" (★★★½ out of four; rated PG-13; in IMAX theaters now, nationwide Feb. 27) is so special and so, well, epic. This electrifying combo of documentary and concert film showcases the King of Rock 'n' Roll at his creative zenith during his 1970s Las Vegas residency and early '70s tours, and more importantly showcases Presley in all of his jumpsuited splendor, as both cultural icon and cool guy. It's an essential watch for every music fan, even if you're not an Elvis junkie.

The King of Rock 'n' Roll takes the Vegas stage at the peak of his musical prowess in "EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert."

And a Presley-phile I am not. The most into Elvis I've ever been was as a kid in the 1980s somewhat obsessed with him not actually being dead, reading books about how he was living in Hawaii or something. But watching "EPiC" you get it. You get him. You get why teenage girls went berserk when he shook his hips and why people just went mad everywhere he went for decades. You also get, in his own words, a glimpse into who Presley truly was that no other documentary or film has ever captured the same way.

"EPiC" is light years better than Luhrmann's recent "Elvis" biopic, and it's a minor miracle that it exists in the first place. While working on his Austin Butler-starring movie, the Australian director unearthed 59 hours of lost footage in an underground Kansas salt mine, restored it and painstakingly matched it with audio, including new Presley interview material.

"There's been a lot written and a lot said but never from my side of the story," Presley says as the film moves through his early controversies and Army service, and plants him in Vegas after an unfulfilling stint in Hollywood. The Elvis we see in Sin City is arguably unmatched, with all that musical maturity plus new inspiration after making bad movies.

He boasts an infectious demeanor and confidence backstage as he readies the Vegas show set list with his band. He goofs around with fellow musicians, quipping with them about the suggestive lyrics of The Beatles' "Something" during rehearsal, yet also has fun at the live show with his audience, playfully plopping a blue bra on his head after some random lady throws it on stage.

The karate moves, unstoppable hips and physical swagger are there, yet so is some vulnerability and humility. And the musicianship is off the charts. Obviously, there are the Elvis greatest hits – "Suspicious Minds," "Burning Love," "Hound Dog," etc. – but Presley slathers his own secret sauce on those by others. It's enlightening to see him put the Elvis spin on The Beatles' "Get Back," Ray Charles' "What'd I Say" or Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water." While the concert footage is jaw-dropping on the whole, the spirited renditions of "Tiger Man" and "Polk Salad Annie" are worth the price of admission alone.

1 / 0Elvis Presley archival photos: See rock 'n' roll legend's life at Graceland and beyondElvis Presley's captivating career, romances, military service and family were documented by photographers around the world. As the world prepares to mark what would have been the rock 'n' roll legend's 90th birthday on Jan. 8, 2025, take a look back at archival images of Presley's life.

"EPiC" is one of the few times, like with a Marvel or "Star Wars" movie, where it's worth the extra bucks for an IMAX ticket or getting into your local movie theater's sonically spiffy Dolby Atmos cinema. Usually with rock docs and their ilk, watching via streaming or waiting to see at home is fine. This is different: On the biggest, best-sounding screen possible, the movie immerses you in Elvis' audience for a monumental music experience. If your butt's not shaking, either because of the energetic tunes or bass lines through the subwoofers, you're not living right.

A movie like this is going to bring in older folks, be they Elvis nerds or those who have strong nostalgia for his peers and that time in music. However, it's the kids who can't get enough of the Taylors, Sabrinas and Chappells who should see "EPiC" just for the cultural history lesson. It's a fascinating, rousing snapshot of a legend in his prime, coming alive again in a way that makes him just as vital now as he was then.
