Jury Duty, which premiered in 2023, is a part-hoax, part-mockumentary-style series

The Emmy-nominated show returned for its second installment, Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat in March 2026

With its finale airing on April 3, fans are wondering whether the show will continue for a third installment

Jury Duty became an instant hit following its 2023 release, but there is debate over how long the show can continue.

The Emmy-nominated documentary-style comedy series' first season starred Ronald Gladden, a man who thought he was on a jury during a court case, but in reality, was actually surrounded by an ensemble of actors participating in a very elaborate prank.

Nearly two years and one Peabody Award later, the series returned to Prime Video, but this time moved from the courtroom to an outdoor business trip for its second installment, Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat.

Its final episode was released on the streamer on April 3 and saw Anthony Norman, this season's "hero," learn that everything around him at hot sauce company Rockin' Grandma's has been, yet again, an expertly crafted hoax.

Given that part of the show is that its unsuspecting individuals don't know the premise, there's been debate over how long the show can continue while maintaining the integrity of the series.

So, will there be a season 3 of Jury Duty? Here's everything we know so far.

Sorry, Jury Duty fans. The comedy series has yet to be confirmed.

However, the second installment was greenlit in early 2025, per Deadline, over a year after the series' debut, so it's not out of the ordinary for their to be a hiatus before renewal.

What has the cast and crew said about continuing Jury Duty?

In March 2026, Jury Duty director Jake Szymanski spoke to The Guardian about the crew's concerns in continuing past the first season, saying, "We did not know if it could be done again."

"It is a lot of work, and there's a lot of risk," he said.

Executive producer David Bernad said that the aspiration for season 2 "wasn't trying to beat or match or top Jury Duty - it was to create something that was unique and worked on its own," which would likely continue to be the case if it was renewed for another installment.

Plus, it wouldn't be an easy feat to make another season.

"There's nothing like the stress of making Jury Duty: there's so much that's unknown, and so much that's unpredictable," Bernad said, adding "the deeper you get into the production, the more the stakes rise."

As for the cast, season 2 star Alex Bonifer told Decider that he thinks there is "absolutely" a chance the show continues, as "the team of creatives behind the Jury Duty franchise is capable of anything."

He added, "I think they will come up with something that even tops what we did, and keep building that."

What would Jury Duty season 3 be about?

With no official renewal, there's no confirmation on what the third installment of Jury Duty would be about. However, we can probably cross courtrooms and company retreats off that list.

Season 2 star Wendy Braun told TV Insider that the cast and crew have reportedly been discussing doing a third installment on a cruise ship.

Meanwhile, Bonifer told Decider one scenario he thinks is off the table: "They would never be able to pick a woman to be the hero," he said.

"Women are too smart. There's no way," Bonifer said. "So fellas out there, stay dumb just like me. Sorry, ladies. You're too smart. You're too intuitive and too intellectual."
