After meeting on a blind date on the show, fans watched their love progress as they became a couple, enmeshed their families and began to talk marriage.
Abbey, who is on the autism spectrum, told Today in April 2025 that she was able to connect to David, who is also on the autism spectrum and also has synesthesia (a condition that causes sensory crossovers, such as tasting colors or feeling sounds) through their shared neurodivergence.
"We understand each other [and] the way our minds work," she said. "We're kind and patient with each other and we're our true selves."
So, where are Abbey and David now — and are they planning on getting engaged anytime soon? Here's everything to know about their lives today after appearing on all four seasons of Love on the Spectrum.

Abbey and David are romantic hopefuls who have appeared on all four seasons of Netflix's Love on the Spectrum.
Abbey was diagnosed with autism when she was 2 years old. "In elementary school, I was more aware of the other kids and that I was different," she said in a September 2024 Instagram Reel.
In addition to starring on Love on the Spectrum, she is an entrepreneur who creates hand-knitted hats under the name Made by Abbey. According to her mother, Christine Romeo, Abbey honed her craft while attending a vocational program focused on "job and life skills."
"She didn't need a high school diploma — she needed skills to help her live her life," Christine told Business Insider in March 2026.
David, who is one of three triplets, was diagnosed with autism at age 3. Prior to appearing on his hit series with Abbey, he appeared on the Netflix show Atypical.
According to his Cardinals Climb biography, David works in the Beverly Hills City Hall human resources department and is also a member of the Miracle Project, which offers training, professional development workshops and summer camps for individuals with autism.

Abbey and David are not engaged, despite being the show's longest-standing couple.
"Neither one of us are ready to get married," Abbey told producers in season 4 of Love on the Spectrum. "We already feel like we're already married in our hearts."
According to Abbey, her parents' relationship, which ended in divorce, has played a role in her careful approach to tying the knot.
"I don't want to be a divorced lady like my mom, so that's why I don't want to rush it, take my time to get married," she said.
She confirmed she does want to walk down the aisle someday, however, telling mom Christine, "I want to be a bride so badly."
After learning of costars Madison Marilla and Tyler White's engagement, Abbey proclaimed, "Hopefully we're next!" to which David responded: "We can only be engaged whenever the time is right."
Though the couple had previously discussed tying the knot at the San Diego Zoo, they shared an update with Buzzfeed in April 2025. "We're gonna get married in Kenya, Maasai Mara [National Reserve]," Abbey told the outlet.
She also shared plans for her dream wedding dress, saying, "Baggy and fluffy. Like a princess gown. Like what Amy Adams wore in Enchanted."

Abbey and David are still together, sharing plenty of adventures together near their homes in Los Angeles.
"David and I like to go places, like the L.A. Zoo, Disneyland, Universal Studios, the Griffith Observatory," Abbey told We Need to Talk in March 2026, adding that he continues to support her day-to-day. "He says things that make me feel good [and] he covers my ears when there's a certain noise I don't like."
Outside of their relationship, Abbey continues to make hats and music. "Sometimes, I make four or five hats in one day," Abbey revealed in a February 2026 Youtube video.
She is also working on a new song called "Right Here, Right Now," and even performed with Kristen Bell in December 2025.
In February 2026, David, meanwhile, served as the grand marshal for the first inaugural Cardinals Climb, a hiking event with the Arizona Cardinals that raised more than $2 million for those with special needs.
