The Dancing with the Stars champ confirmed that he is co-hosting Australia's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, which arrives on Jan. 18 in his home country
The move comes less than two months after he and pro partner Witney Carson took home the Mirrorball Trophy on DWTS season 34
Robert Irwin didn't wait too long for a TV return after his Dancing with the Stars victory!
The wildlife conservationist and newest Mirrorball Trophy champion, 22, is heading to South Africa for the next season of Australia's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, which he's been co-hosting since 2023 alongside Julia Morris.
While Irwin was confirmed to be returning to the show back in November, he officially teased his involvement on Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 11, as he shared a behind-the-scenes video and said the "best season yet" is arriving on Sunday, Jan. 18. His television return comes less than two months after his Dancing with the Stars win.
"Welcome back to South Africa," Irwin said in the clip. "We have a brilliant new season of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here coming to you, Australia, Jan. 18. This season, we are changing things, we're upping the ante. Making a bit of a plan right now."

He added the new season, set to air on the country's Network 10, is "one to watch because it's going to be the most intense season we've ever had, the most challenging, the most emotional. And our celebrities, holy moly, they're gonna get a run for their money."
Irwin has also secured some new fans for the show after his DWTS run, including dance partner and fellow champ Witney Carson, who left a comment under his Instagram clip. "Oh I can't wait," she wrote.
Carson, 32, and Irwin won the Mirrorball Trophy during the DWTS season 34 finale, which aired 10 years after Irwin's sister, Bindi, won season 21 with partner Derek Hough.

Irwin also teased his return to I'm a Celebrity in a clip shared by co-host Morris, 57, as he reflected on all he's been up to since last season — from his DWTS appearance to his Bonds underwear campaign. "There was a bit going on then I suppose, hey," he joked.
The DWTS winner commemorated his return to Australia on Jan. 8 as he introduced his Mirrorball Trophy to some residents of the Australia Zoo, which the Irwin family owns and operates. "The mirrorball has made it home - had to show my friends what I've been up to 🪩🐨" he captioned the post, alongside a video of himself showing the prize to a koala, bird and snake.

Also after his win, and his movie debut in Zootopia 2, Irwin announced a "passion project" at the Australia Zoo. In December, he revealed that he was "heading back home" to work with the Crocodile Hunter Lodge at the zoo, which opened in 2022.
The DWTS champ previously told PEOPLE that seeing his sister claim the title a decade before him was particularly special as it was also an opportunity to spread the message about the Australia Zoo and Wildlife Warriors, their charity.
"It's about making the world a better place. And when I watched her lift that Mirrorball, I saw her lifting that message," he said.
