Rep. Speier: Transcripts will ‘probably’ be released in next 5 days

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) set a five-day timeline on Sunday for the release of deposition transcripts which are part of the House's impeachment probe into President Donald Trump.

"I feel you are going to see all the transcripts which are going to be launched in all probability inside the next 5 days," Speier, a member of the Home Intelligence Committee, stated on CBS' "Face the Nation."

"I don't know if they're all going to be launched on the identical day, however they are going to be very telling to the American individuals," she added. "There isn't any question now whether there was a quid pro quo, and now the question the Republicans try to throw out is, 'Properly, was there corrupt intent?'"

Speier added that the transcripts will give the American individuals "an eye fixed on precisely what we've heard, and what we've heard is rising evidence of grounds for impeachment."

The California Democrat was much less specific on when public hearings as part of the impeachment probe will begin, however stated they would start quickly.

"I feel they are going to start very quickly," Speier stated.
