A person is accused of bursting into his ex-girlfriend's bed room and murdering her new lover.

The jury at Lewes crown courtroom have been proven footage of the blood soaked mattress and knife at Miss Parrin's flat after the attack on August 13 of last yr.

Prior claims he and Mr Tomkins, 25, fought for the knife, and denied taking the knife to the flat with him, saying he'd left it there after using it to open packaging.

Earlier Miss Parrin, 21, described how Prior and Jason Curtis burst into her bed room, before Prior pinned Mr Tomkins to the bead and started stabbing him.

Immediately Prior advised the jury he and Mr Tomkins traded punches earlier than he was knocked on his back on the bed.
