COPS have been pressured to shut London's iconic Tower Bridge this afternoon after it was swarmed by pro-Palestine protesters who let off flares and disrupted visitors.
Visitors was delivered to a standstill final night time and buses have been diverted to different crossing points over the river as individuals performed music and beat drums, singing "Free Palestine, Free Palestine".
Early stories claimed pro-Palestine activists have been at the coronary heart of the protest as demands for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and terrorist group Hamas within the Gaza Strip continue.
City of London Police confirmed the incident round 5.40pm.
A press release on X (previously Twitter) learn: "Tower Bridge is presently closed because of protest activity. Officers are in attendance at the scene."
At 6.26pm, the bridge had "reopened".
A police spokesperson confirmed to The Solar that the bridge was closed for about 45 minutes.
They added that each one protesters had been cleared from the world and added it was unlikely the bridge would have to be closed once more.
No accidents or arrests have been reported.
