The main Democratic candidates gathered in South Carolina on Monday to hyperlink arms and show a united entrance in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday as they gear up for the Democratic primaries.
Hanging pictures from the march show several Democratic candidates — together with former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Tom Steyer, former Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard — strolling together to South Carolina’s state capital in Columbia.
Notably, Warren and Sanders had their arms linked collectively as they marched side-by-side, giving some Democratic voters an image of hope because the 2020 election gets closer.

Warren and Sanders each sparred last week over a CNN report that Sanders had allegedly advised Warren again in late 2018 that a lady couldn’t win the 2020 election. Sanders vehemently denied the report, whereas Warren confirmed it.
After the two senators have been questioned about it at this month’s Democratic debate — and gave conflicting accounts of their 2018 conversation — they shared a tense moment collectively on stage, where Warren seemingly pulled away from Sanders’ handshake whereas that they had a quick dialogue.
Audio of the conversation launched by CNN confirmed that Warren stated to Sanders, “I feel you referred to as me a liar on nationwide TV,” before Sanders replied shortly after, “You referred to as me a liar.”
The incident came days after a Politico report about Sanders’ campaign instructing volunteers to tell voters Warren supporters are are “extremely educated, extra affluent people who find themselves going to point out up and vote Democratic no matter what” and that “she’s bringing no new bases into the Democratic Get together.”
Warren stated that she was “disillusioned” Sanders’ campaign would instruct volunteers to “trash” her, while Politico reported the Sanders marketing campaign didn’t “challenge the authenticity” of the script.
Monday’s picture reassured some voters that the longtime associates are nonetheless actually that, despite their current arguments and controversy.

“Great present of unity by the Democrats!” one Twitter consumer wrote, while others joked that “mother and pop made up.”
The current rivalry between the Democratic candidates has nervous some celebration voters that the division will negatively influence the Democrats’ probability at unseating Republican President Donald Trump in the November election.
“Too much is at stake proper now for mutual destruction,” Rebecca Katz, a liberal strategist, recently told The Washington Submit. “Our eyes have to be on the prize.”
