Patrick Muldoon's sister, Shana Muldoon Zappa, shared a sweet video the late Starship Troopers actor sent his family just before his death.

"I know he loves this earthly realm and all he created within it," she wrote in a tribute to him.

Muldoon died at 57 on Sunday after he was found unconscious inside his home.

Patrick Muldoon's sister, Shana Muldoon Zappa, has paid tribute to her brother days after his sudden death, sharing a video from the actor with his fans.

Zappa took to social media on Wednesday to post a clip Muldoon shared with their family just before he died.

"This was the last video my brother sent to our constant family group chat — from [Saturday] night at [the] LACMA opening," she wrote alongside the clip.

In the video, Muldoon shows Domenico Zampieri's 1622 work Saint Ignatius of Loyola's Vision of Christ and God the Father at La Storta on display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. "It's a beautiful painting," Muldoon says in the clip, before doing his Loyola High School football chant. "I think that's what he was thinking in the picture, actually."

In the post's caption, Zappa revealed that Muldoon "loved" Saint Ignatius because "he was kind of the cool guy, good time guy who was still able to become a saint."

"As always, he jokes... and yet profoundly brings all things into one moment — the jokester, the artist, the football player, and the intensely spiritually connected, Jesuit-educated, incredible being that is Patrick Muldoon," Zappa wrote. "My best friend. The best brother/son/uncle anyone could ever possibly ask for."

Zappa wrote that she would have "so much more to share" with her followers. "I know he loves this earthly realm and all he created within it," she wrote, "including all of the love and light his spirit is now receiving through all of you."

"We will eventually have details on when and where we will celebrate him. But now we are still processing," she added. "I continue to speak of him in present tense. Because his spirit is all around me. He just changed forms💫🙏🏼💚."

Muldoon died at age 57 on Sunday, and while details surrounding his death were not immediately available, his manager provided the date of his death to Variety, and Zappa told TMZ that the star was found unconscious in a bathroom where he was showering inside his Beverly Hills home.

Zappa said her sibling went to shower shortly after having coffee with his girlfriend, who later found him on the floor of the bathroom when she went to check on him.

As news of Muldoon's death broke, his peers and friends shared their memories of the actor and celebrated his life on social media.

Days of Our Lives and General Hospital star Kate Mansi, who was close friends with Muldoon, posted an emotional tribute to the late star in an Instagram Story. "My husband woke me up from London very early this morning when he saw the news, so I didn't wake up to it while scrolling. I'm so stuck," Mansi wrote. "As evidenced by how many people feel this way, Muldoon left an impact on everyone he knew."

She added, "@Thepatrickmuldoon had a phrase he'd say when you reached a new portal in your life. He'd say: 'You popped your consciousness!' To the original Cali boy rocker, love you forever. No one LIVED and LOVED like you."

Actress and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Denise Richards — who starred with the actor in the 1997 sci-fi cult favorite Starship Troopers before they dated — remembered him in a heartfelt statement posted to Instagram on Tuesday.

"This is so hard for me to put into words. I am deeply heartbroken & devastated losing you. You were my best friend & my family," Richards wrote in the post in part, which also contained various images of the former couple. "We met in our first acting class. I was 19. Never had an acting job. And you were 21, a student at USC doing a recurring role on Who's the Boss. And here we are. 36 years later. My whole adult life & I don't know it without you."

She continued, "We thought we'd live forever, or at least into our 90s. Schweetbabe, I will be looking for those signs. I you're still here with me. I love you so much & miss you dearly, Schweetbabe."

Two days before his death, Muldoon announced on Instagram that he was an executive producer on the upcoming thriller Kockroach, starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz, and Alec Baldwin.

Eighteen of those hurt were taken to the hospital for medical evaluation, while five received treatment at the scene.

The crash prompted the closure of the Metro Access Road and caused significant disruption to mass transit operations for several hours.

The Arlington Fire Department responded to the crash but referred all enquiries to the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, the federal law enforcement body responsible for the Pentagon.

It’s been 25 years since Destiny’s Child blew Us away with Survivor — an anniversary that Beyoncé will never forget.

“Today celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Destiny’s Child‘s third album, Survivor ❤️🙏🏽,” Beyoncé, 44, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, April 25. “To my soul sisters, I thank God for you both. It’s an honor to sing through life with you ladies by my side.”

She continued, “Behind the curtains, beyond the lights, forever my Angels. Ma kee ta ta 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.”

Destiny’s Child released their third album, Survivor, in April 2001, featuring hit tracks including “Survivor,” "Independent Woman Part I,” “Bootylicious” and “Nasty Girl.”

Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams Have Destiny’s Child Reunion at ‘Cowboy Carter’ Concert

Beyoncé was a founding member of Destiny’s Child alongside Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. Roberson, 44, and Luckett, 45, left the girl group in 2000 before Michelle Williams came aboard. The group disbanded six years later when Beyoncé, Rowland, 45, and Williams, 46, all pursued solo careers.

While Beyoncé, Rowland and Williams have each found enormous success on their own, they have remained close. Beyoncé invited her former bandmates to perform at several of her concerts, including the 2018 Super Bowl halftime show, a headlining set at Coachella in 2018 and a 2025 Cowboy Carter Tour show.

Beyoncé’s dad, Mathew Knowles, has even been vocal about the girls’ decision to continue performing together while simultaneously supporting each other’s solo endeavors.

“I certainly hope so. I also understand that Kelly and Beyoncé are mothers and they have a family and that changes the dynamics,” Knowles, 74, exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2020. “Each one of the ladies are successful in their own right. They all have their individual solo careers. So coordinating family, careers, that’s a lot of juggling. I’m sure in due time the ladies will decide if that’s what they want to do and if they do or do not as supportive as I could be as their manager.”

He continued at the time, “[Their Coachella performance] shows how much they practiced, that 10 years later they cannot miss a beat. It’s just remarkable. It shows that their dedication was really there. I know these ladies, they have strong work ethics. I’m extremely proud of all three of them.”

Kelly Rowland and More Destiny’s Child Alums Dress to Impress at ‘Renaissance’ Premiere

Rowland shares two sons with her husband, Tim Weatherspoon, while Beyoncé and Jay-Z are parents of three.

Beyoncé and Rowland even recently cheered on Williams during a 2024 performance of Death Becomes Her on Broadway.

“I would actually love for them to [perform on Broadway],” Williams exclusively told Us in November 2024. “I think they’re very capable of starring in a Broadway show — absolutely!”

Drag is magic. But it's also tragic if you're Ariel Versace on the receiving end of a hilarious pop off in the midst of Wig Gate.

*RuPaul's Drag Race* season 11 winner Yvie Oddly and Miss Congeniality Nina West stopped by the most recent episode of *EW's BINGE* podcast to tell hosts Joey Nolfi and Jillian Sederholm about a particularly testy, unaired moment that saw the latter queen — regarded as one of the kindest, gentlest souls in the RuGirl family — losing it in the middle of the season's most peculiar controversies.

"Wig Gate was such a big thing for our season," West said, as Oddly chimed in about the "so stupid" moment that, in the simplest of terms, sort of (but then later sort of didn't) involve various queens being accused of stealing Versace's wigs after her elimination. Tensions flared up over the confusion when the previously eliminated queens returned to the Werk Room for the perennial makeover challenge. "I completely lost my cool. All of those girls came back on my elimination episode," West recalls. "At this point, I was really raw. I had a feeling that this just might be my time, I was like, I think I'm going home. It was right when those girls walked in, and Ariel looked over at my station and she goes, 'That's my wig!' and I completely lost my s---. I don't think there were any cameras on me. I was like, I don't know why she would accuse me of stealing, I don't need to steal! Ariel and I have obviously talked about it since, because I popped off as the most Nina West pop off I've ever done."

Oddly also remembers the moment with a laugh, mimicking West's tone as she delivered a fatal, verbal blow to Versace after the accusation: "You cut her off immediately like, 'No, no, no, no, sweetie! That's *my* wig. It, unfortunately, *looks* like it's styled like one of your wigs!'"

Elsewhere on the episode, Oddly discusses an update on her overall health and the status of her Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, what her hot dad has been up to in quarantine, the difficulties queens of color face after graduating from the show, and another tense moment with that dreaded magician who guest-starred on the magic show challenge episode.

Listen to the full episode above.

The world is full of mundane mysteries—all you need to do is slow down to see them. Some weird things you’ll be able to figure out yourself. Others, well, they’re so confusing and chaotic that you might need to reach out to others to make sense of them.

That’s where ‘Things That Make You Go Hmmm’ truly shines. It’s a popular Facebook page that posts people’s photos of the bizarre and funniest things they’ve witnessed. In other words, all the things that make you go “hmmm.” In the mood for something really unusual? Try not to lose sight of what’s real.

Whether or not a meme is close to the objective truth doesn’t have much of an impact on its popularity, Psychology Today stresses. What matters the most, instead, are the emotions that you feel upon seeing an image or video.

Internet content that forces you to feel stronger emotions, whether positive or negative, tends to be shared and reshared more frequently than memes that cause weaker emotions.

So, content that is extremely funny, makes you angry, or disgusts you tends to be the most viral.

In the meantime, the BBC explains that the most viral and beloved memes tend to focus on the things that are very recent in public memory and important to many people.

“Viral memes usually appeal to the most common denominator. So you don't have to necessarily be embedded in internet subculture to understand what it's saying. And the final thing I think is, it's the most basic thing but it's very hard to replicate, is that it should be fun to look at, and fun to share,” says Idil Galip, a doctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh, and founder of the Meme Studies Research Network.

Memes are meant to be shared, reshared, and iterated upon, over and over again. Ideas only ever become memes when they are shared and replicated. And it is unavoidable that meme-focused communities look to each other for inspiration.

“Memes are the largest art movement in human history and they're here to stay. The sheer volume of artists and total works of art outranks graffiti and the Renaissance by an absurdly large margin. Memes are easy to make, but have become a new medium of communication that's capable of displaying emotion in completely new ways,” Chris Tweten, the founder of ‘Things That Make You Go Hmmm,’ told Bored Panda during an earlier interview.

The ‘Things That Make You Go Hmmm’ page has been around on Facebook since early 2018. Over the past 8+ years, the founder and curator of the project, Tweten, has grown a following of 337k followers and counting.

During a previous interview with us, he opened up about the story behind the page, as well as his own relationship with memes and social media.

“The story behind that page is actually quite interesting: I used to scale meme pages on FB and sell them. There was a time when I lived solely off of meme revenue!" Tweten, the founder, opened up to us.

"I ran that page solo, sourcing content from Reddit and Facebook groups. I'm a Canadian growth marketer who owns an agency called ‘SpacebarCollective’ that also specialized in growth hacking from 2014 to 2018,” he shared with us earlier.

“Facebook was a channel that was largely written off as a pay-to-win platform, but I found massive algorithmic exploits that allowed me to grow pages by 10k to 50k likes per month,” he said.

“The strategy hinged on using predictive analytics to determine which posts would get 100k+ impressions based on their first 10 minutes of engagement,” Tweten said, sharing with us that he had found an in-depth way to understand how the social network worked back then.

“Knowing exploits like this have a limited window of time when they actually work (before Facebook notices), I looked to Reddit to find communities with content that was available in high volume and where they were underserved on Facebook.”

“r/hmmm was a great source of content and the largest pages of similar names on Facebook at the time only had 10k page likes,” Tweten opened up.

“I knew I could outperform them within a week or two, so I started the page and started to scale it up. I repeated this same strategy for a few different niches, including a page for things that are funny and sad, Please Press F,” the founder said.

Meanwhile, we have actually covered the r/hmmm subreddit, the online community that inspired ‘Things That Make You Go Hmmm’ in the first place, before.

During Bored Panda’s earlier interview with CosmicKeys, the head moderator at r/hmmm, we found out that the sub was initially created in 2008, but its real founding date was 2016, when it began to see real activity online.

“I would post daily pictures while chat was going for people to laugh at oddities from different corners of the internet.”

“That grew into a large collection, so /r/hmmm was born. The name comes from a thread that would appear occasionally on 4chan, and the content was inspired by a website called spaceghetto," CosmicKeys said.

“The subreddit is about obscure and strange images, so over time, as certain types of images have gone from obscure to popular, we've made rules to exclude them.”
