Several dates for Usher and Chris Brown's "The R&B Tour" have been axed.

Why are the tour dates being canceled?

According to The Baltimore Sun and Complex, ticket holders were sent an email giving insight into the cancellations, citing the need to "prioritize the health and well-being of the touring party and crew."

“The demands of a tour of this length and scale are significant, and these adjustments will allow the tour to continue safely and sustainably through the remaining scheduled performances," the statement continued.

It comes amid Brown's upcoming legal proceedings in the UK. He was accused of attacking a producer at London's Tape nightclub in February 2023, Reuters reported. In July, he pleaded guilty to a charge of affray, a British term used to describe a physical altercation that occurs in a public place. The "Residuals" singer's sentencing at the London court is set for Oct. 26.

Fan tries to grab Usher mid-performance

"The R&B Tour" was in the spotlight last week after a fan tried to grab Usher mid-song.

The incident happened during a San Antonio stop of "The R&B Tour," which Usher is co-headlining with Chris Brown. Videos circulating on social media show the Grammy-winning artist walking down the aisle at the Alamodome singing his hit song, "Yeah."

At one point, a fan yanked Usher's arm during the performance, but the music star was able to pull away. His security followed him as he continued the number on stage with his dancers.

People on social media chimed in, some commending Usher for keeping the show going: "It's the way he didn't break eye contact with the camera nor miss a beat," one commenter stated.
