Baby Kitten Dressed as a Ghost for Halloween Melts Hearts

I was doing perfectly fine with the Halloween ghost trend until somebody decided to involve a kitten approximately the size of a baked potato. Now I’m sitting here looking at the tiniest little face poking out from underneath a white sheet, and I may never recover. This baby has a pink nose, little closed eyes, and a mouth that’s hanging open just enough to make it look like he’s attempting the world’s smallest “boo.”
The kitten is so young that he barely looks like he knows what planet he’s on, let alone what Halloween is. But that hasn’t stopped his family from giving him his very first spooky photoshoot. He’s surrounded by beautiful autumn leaves, warm orange decorations, and a glowing candle in the background. Meanwhile, the guest of honor appears to be sleeping through his entire modeling appointment.
The ridiculously precious video was shared by @bbcattery, who explains that they decided to try the viral ghost photoshoot trend with their baby kitten.
The video begins with the tiny gray-and-white kitten sitting on a soft blanket while someone gently pets his little head. His eyes are closed, his mouth is slightly open, and he looks like he’s having the best nap of his very short life.
Then comes the Halloween reveal.

A little white sheet is draped around the kitten, leaving his tiny face peeking out. He’s sitting among fall leaves with the most peaceful expression imaginable, looking less like a ghost and more like a marshmallow that needs a nap.
And the comments are completely unhinged with affection.
One viewer wrote, “Their wittle mouth,” which is exactly the detail I can’t stop staring at.
Another said, “Omg he looks like someone turned on the lights and it woke him from a deep sleep.”
Someone else asked, “Is he aware of his existence? That baby is so cute.”
And one person admitted, “I’ve been having the worst day. This baby was on repeat.”
I think that last comment sums up the entire appeal of tiny kitten videos. Sometimes you just need to watch a baby cat being impossibly adorable until the world feels a little nicer.
The Halloween Ghost Trend Just Got Even Cuter
If you’ve been scrolling through pet videos this October, you’ve probably seen the ghost photoshoot trend. People dress their pets in little white sheets, often pairing the footage with Jack Stauber’s song “Oh Klahoma.”
We’ve already seen some ridiculously adorable versions, including a tiny chick doing the Halloween ghost trend that looked like a haunted cotton ball.
But this kitten might be the sleepiest participant yet.
The whole idea is to make pets look like tiny ghosts, although the results tend to be much more adorable than frightening.
Of course, pet costumes should always be comfortable and supervised. Anything covering a pet’s face or restricting breathing or movement should be avoided, especially with a kitten this young. A quick, carefully supervised photo is plenty.
As for this little guy, I suspect he has absolutely no idea that he’s become a Halloween celebrity.
He’s probably dreaming about milk, warm blankets, and whatever else occupies the mind of a kitten who has only recently arrived on Earth.
And frankly, I think he’s already won Halloween.
Nobody else needs to dress up. We have our winner.
