The Jonas empire continues to grow — and family patriarch Kevin Jonas Sr. has found his "purpose in life" spending quality time with his five granddaughters.
"These girls are putting makeup on me and tiaras, and I'm in, fully in," the father of the Jonas Brothers exclusively tells PEOPLE. "Every fantasy that they create of princesses and princes and King Triton, I'm there. And it's so precious and so different. With my boys, it was wrestling and throwing each other around the room. With these young ladies, it is really about just loving them."
Papa Jonas, 61, raised the musical trio — Kevin, Joe and Nick — with his wife of 40 years, Denise, and they're enjoyed leaving the parenting duties to their sons. "The parents are left with the responsibility to guide who they are, and I shouldn't really cross those lines or I'll create friction," he says. "So my only job without the heaviness of training is to love. It's like freedom for me."

While his sons regularly play for arena-sized crowds, Jonas is most impressed by the dads they've become. "They're really good people, they're really good young men," he gushes. "I am so proud, so proud of that… And you get to now see them impart that sort of good humanity on their offspring and a new generation of people and continue it. Love it, love it every day."
"When they give advice that I know I gave them or guidance that we gave them, beyond fortunate," he continues. "Seeing it in action and seeing it in my grandkids and watching them become really precious young ladies with values and purpose and openness, that's all the satisfaction I need."

The music manager and entrepreneur is celebrating his own lasting marriage with new music. Kevin Sr. just released a new song as "an anniversary gift" to his longtime wife. Titled "Key of You," the romantic ballad captures the resilience that carries a couple through decades of partnership.
"It's the celebration of love, love that is mature," he explains about the track. "If you last 40 years, you've gone through so many changes, lived through so much together, the ups and the downs, the celebrations and the pains, and yet you can look at each other and still just be amazed."
The pair married when they were 18 after meeting on their first day of college at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, and Jonas is grateful to still have his wife by his side. "I'm fortunate that I found someone who believed in me… that was there when I was on top and definitely more times than not when I wasn't on top and just doing the grind," he says. "I'm very, very thankful that in spite of me, she's still here."
All marriages take work and Jonas reveals the key to his is acceptance. "Accepting each other for who we are and yet still trying to encourage each other to be better," he notes. "I think that acceptance really helps so that you're appreciating the seasons of life."
The music manager was nervous about playing the song for his toughest music critics: his sons. "Their reaction was amazing... 'Wow, that's a great song, that's a great wedding song'," he recalls. "I find their input so validating because even though I'm their dad and I was a part of their career, especially early on, when they're encouraging, I feel like a little kid, like the roles have reversed."
