Claudia Oshry shocked TV fans when she voluntarily withdrew from season 14 of The Masked Singer on Wednesday, Jan. 28
The Toast podcaster said she pulled out to spend time with her family at home after she signed onto the show months after becoming a first-time mom
Looking back on what went into her participation in the competition, Oshry tells PEOPLE she thinks she could have a future on another hit reality TV series
Claudia Oshry shocked fans when she withdrew from season 14 of The Masked Singer, but the online personality isn't necessarily calling this the end of her reality TV career.
The Toast podcast host revealed herself as Queen Corgi at the end of the Wednesday, Jan. 28 episode, making her one of only a handful of Masked Singer competitors to voluntarily exit the competition. Shortly after her bombshell unmasking, Oshry, 31, told PEOPLE she felt like her participation was impeding on precious postpartum time with her months-old son.
"My baby was 4 months old at the time, and you don't get that time back, especially with your first, so I'm really glad. I have not regretted the decision once since I made it," says the new mom, who welcomed her first child, son Reuben, with husband Ben Soffer, 33, on May 21, 2025.

Though she felt confident in her final decision, Oshry says it wasn't an easy one to make. Her leave was made all the more complicated considering the fact that she genuinely appreciated the chance to sing on the stage.
"I got to selfishly live out this dream of mine to be a pop star," the social media star says.

Before she realized that she needed to be home with Reuben, Oshry was all-in on her commitment to the Fox series. She went the extra mile to keep her participation under lock-and-key and fooled her dedicated fanbase with a false narrative about why she temporarily moved to Los Angeles.
"I came up with this very crazy story about my apartment flooding and Ben needed to go to LA, so we were moving to LA for a month," she recounts. "And when I tell you everybody believed me, I did not see one person saying, 'Does anyone think that Claudia is lying?' "
In fact, by selling the story well, Oshry has even convinced herself that if she were to return to reality TV, she might be a good fit for The Traitors. And it practically goes without saying which Oshry would choose between the deceptive "Traitors" and sleuthing "Faithfuls" on the Peacock hit: "I would make an excellent Traitor," says Oshry.
