Josh Sargent has been demoted to Norwich City's reserve side as the American striker's transfer stand-off continues.
Norwich head coach Philippe Clement confirmed that Sargent would again be out of the squad for Saturday's game against Wrexham.
"He's training with the second team," Clement said at a press conference Friday. "What he did was not acceptable for anybody in the club. There's not much more to focus on now apart from Wrexham and getting results."
Asked how long Sargent could stay with the reserves, Clement responded: "It depends on him."
Sargent asked to be left out of last weekend's FA Cup win against Walsall, with Clement saying after the game that the U.S. men's national team striker had "transfer things in his head."

The Athletic reported this week Toronto FC has bid $18 million to land Sargent, who is pushing for the move to MLS.
On Friday, The Telegraph said that Sargent was on Nottingham Forest's January short list as the club aims for Premier League survival.
However, Clement has been steadfast that Sargent will not leave the Canaries this month as the club battles to avoid relegation from the Championship.
"I said that he's not going to leave this window," Clement said. "It's not going to happen. I've said it already a few times: this club is in a relegation battle and everyone is focused on coming out of this situation. Josh has two and a half years on his contract."
"There is alignment with everyone from the owners down. There would need to be an amount where we could sell him in this situation."
Sargent has scored double-digit league goals in the past three seasons, netting 56 times overall for the club since joining in 2021.
This season, the 25-year-old has scored seven times in the Championship.
