Former NBA star Shawn Kemp pleads guilty in Tacoma Mall shooting case
Former NBA star Shawn Kemp has pleaded guilty to second-degree assault relating to a shooting outside the Tacoma Mall in March 2023. The legendary six-time NBA All-Star had initially pleaded not guilty after prosecutors accused him of shooting at two people while attempting to retrieve items that were allegedly stolen from his car. Kemp, who will be sentenced on August 22, changed his plea on Tuesday. He was initially charged with two counts of first-degree assault.
