"I obtained an update on my telephone that there was a $200 cost for a raise," Sowder advised native NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV.&

"So I went to my telephone, checked out my bank account, and observed there have been multiple expenses on my account."&

Sowder stated he found 133 charges from Lyft, amounting to around $6,320.29.&

As he claimed he never approved the fees, Sowder advised the outlet that he filed a fraud claim together with his financial institution to unravel the difficulty.&

Nevertheless, the Chicago man claimed his financial institution did not recuperate any of the funds and closed the investigation.&

It was not instantly clear which financial institution Sowder had been utilizing on the time.&

In one other try and get his money again, Sowder reportedly contacted Lyft.&

He claimed that the rideshare company knowledgeable him that it appeared as if he opened one other account beneath his identify.&

While this confirmed he would receive a refund for the fraudulent costs, Sowder stated the problems continued.&

Initially, Lyft reportedly tried to have Sowder fill out a W-9 form for the refunded money.&

"Why would I fill out a W-9 type?" Sowder informed WMAQ-TV.&

"I'm not an worker or a contractor."&

It was not immediately clear why Lyft seemed to be requesting Sowder pay taxes on the refund.

After being pressed on the matter, the rideshare company finally sent Sowder a non-disclosure agreement and provided for a full refund of $6,320.29.&

Sowder lately advised the outlet that he had accepted the phrases.&

Lyft didn't immediately respond to The U.S. Sun's request for comment.&
