Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Zachary Fink killed in horror crash with semi truck
A FLORIDA Freeway Patrol trooper has died after being concerned in a fatal automotive crash.
Trooper Zachary Fink was killed early Friday after his cruiser collided with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 in St. Lucie County, Florida, about an hour north of West Palm Seashore.



Aerial footage from NBC affiliate WPTV's Chopper 5 confirmed the tractor turned on its aspect.
A number of ft away from the crash website sat the trooper's cruiser, which sustained heavy injury.
It's unclear what triggered the crash.
Near the crash website, multi-police businesses are investigating one other collision involving a white Kia.
The Kia crashed right into a tree, and police are looking for the driving force of that car, who reported took off after the incident, in response to NBC affiliate WPEC.
It's unknown if that incident is said to the trooper's crash.
Florida Freeway Patrol will maintain a 10 am press convention to share further details on the incident.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis paid tribute to Fink on an X, previously Twitter, publish.
"Our hearts exit to the family of FHP Trooper Zachary Fink, who was killed in the line of obligation while trying to detain a fleeing felon in St. Lucie County," the governor stated.
"@CaseyDeSantis and I are praying for the Fink household and the whole FHP group."
