Alison Hammond has acquired a sort message from Julian Clary after replacing the late Paul O'Grady on For The Love of Canine.

Whereas hosting This Morning, Alison, 48, revealed that Julian has been supportive of the announcement, which received some backlash.

She informed co-host Dermot O'Leary that the 64-year-old comic messaged to say: 'Paul truly thought loads of you. He can be so completely happy you bought the job, as am I.'

The Great British Bake Off host does not yet own a dog because of the duty concerned and at present, she doesn't assume it coincides together with her working single mum way of life.

'It's an enormous duty. I've all the time needed a dog but you need to take it critically,' she explained.

Alison added that the rationale she needs to tackle the presenter position is to make Paul, who died from cardiac arrhythmia in 2013, 'proud'.

O'Grady, introduced the ITV present based mostly at Battersea Canine & Cats Residence for 11 collection, beginning in 2012.

Nervy Ethel has taken to sitting high up in her kennel where she feels safe so to try build her confidence, she?s offered an array of comfy cushions and blankets to make her stay as comfy as possible. But when sweet Ethel turns her nose up at those, Paul goes into overdrive offering her a eclectic selection of comfy armchairs to chose from. But will this unorthodox approach help Ethel to finally relax? Finally, Paul meets Milo the one-year old labrador who loves nothing better than charging around after tennis balls.
