2026 Women&x27;s March Madness live: Highlights and scores for NCAA games Heather Burns, USA TODAY Sat, March 21, 2026 at 3:20 PM UTC 0 The first day of the first round of the Women's NCAA Tournament is the books. Saturday, we complete the first round with 16 games. Perhaps the biggest headline to come out of Day 1 was Tennessee losing in the first round for only the third time in program history. The Lady Vols matched the lowest win total in program history, with only 16 this season. They lost 11 of 13 games to end the season. The first round was all chalk, all the higher seeds won.
